We were extremely impressed with Dr. Hunter. I would highly recommend him. After seeing three different veterinarians, in the Columbia area ,he by far is our favorite. and I will continue taking my Doberman to him.

Our new Maine coon kitten hurt it's ankle and Well Pets couldn't have been nicer! Got us right in and assessed the issue and took care of everything. So thankful for them - the front desk staff, DVM Seay and Patty were amazing!!

We have been to this vet before with outstanding service, at odd hours as well, however today was/is a horrible experience. They have drive up service and will not let you in until it is your turn (I understand that) but I was told it should be an hour or less before we can see your pet. I know triage and get my dog looks and appears ok, however to wait 2.5 hours with no one coming out and giving us a simple update put me over the edge. I asked about text and return when we first got here and was told nope, then when I asked about the concern for the animals and I was told to just keep my car running with AC. That was the second item that put me over the edge. How do they expect a vehicle to stay cool just sitting with no air flow? The staff seems to care more about keeping everyone out vice taking our dog into a kennel to stay out of the heat and do the right thing. I would have dropped her off and returned when it was our time and been extremely happy to do that. Looks like this Vet will NEVER get our business or referrals again as they seem to not care about customer service or their clients.

I approved all recommended testing in hopes of getting answers and ensuring he received the care he needed. After the testing was completed, I was informed that his bloodwork was "immaculate" aside from an elevated white blood cell count, and medication was prescribed. Unfortunately, once the medication ran out, his condition began to worsen. Last week, I called the office because I was concerned that my dog's health was declining and wanted to speak with a veterinarian. I was originally told by the veterinarian we saw to call if there were any concerns. However, when I contacted the office, I was informed that she was on vacation. I requested a call from any veterinarian in the practice due to the urgency of the situation, but I was told I would need to wait until that specific veterinarian returned. As a concerned pet owner, I found this response extremely disappointing. When a patient's condition is worsening, there should be a process in place for another veterinarian to review the case and provide guidance. Due to the lack of communication and support, I made the decision to transfer my dog to another veterinary facility. My dog is currently receiving care elsewhere and has undergone several hours of additional testing. At this point, his condition has been deemed urgent. While I appreciate the initial efforts made during his visit, I am disappointed by the lack of follow-up and the inability to speak with another veterinarian when I expressed concerns about his declining health. Edit to add; The vet Ace seen, after 6 hours of evaluation, testing and scans. Ace was found to have a large tumor on his kidney. Issues that should've been located May 28th when he was seen by Friarsgate. Friarsgate animal hospital let me down, my children down and my dog

I used to take my dogs to this location, and my mom still takes hers. The vets are pretty good, and…read morethey really seem to care for the animals that come through. In terms of their version of pet insurance, my mom uses the plan that they have that supposedly helps save money. I think it really doesn't. I always get sticker shock when I go to the vet, and the monthly draft they take doesn't save enough to really do anything. I quit going to Banfield when I brought my dog in for a gurgling stomach and picked him up to a $1000 vet bill. They diagnosed him with pancreatitis but only after ruling out just about everything else with blood work, X-rays (including like $40 to have someone hold him for the X-ray), and ultrasound. I don't know that I really believe that pancreatitis diagnosis he received: I think it's more likely they thought I'd be happier leaving with a prescription than just a $1000 bill and the same dog. Perhaps look into other pet insurance plans. I felt like my monthly draft never really made the bill that less outrageous when equally priced plans would cover it all. Even though it "includes" lots of things for the year, you're still paying hundreds every time you come in. My mom had to have surgery on her dog for bladder stones. That was a $1000 surgery with the monthly draft. Other pet insurance plans would have paid for it. Don't forget that vets are a business. Question what services they want to provide.

A vet came in and told us about a dog! We come out of the room and the guy rudely tells us "I never asked you to go in that room, you were supposed to wait here." They didn't give any water to our cat all day. We were going to pay for a claw trim but they claimed they couldn't clip our cat's nails because he was too aggressive. They claimed they took it off the bill but we have no way of knowing as we didn't get a breakdown on the receipt.
