The woman that I worked with (it says Bernice on the receipt but you never know) was knowledgeable, straightforward, and simply super to work with.

Coldzone came out & spent less than 20-minutes 'fixing it'! The repairperson told me it would take 24-hours for ice to be made. After 24-hours... nothing! After 48-hours... nothing! For the next two weeks, SHW gave me the runaround. They initially gave Coldzone the go-ahead to order & install a new ice maker. When Coldzone got the new ice maker SHW then denied the ice maker was covered by my top-of-the-line coverage claiming my ice maker was an after-market addition. Even after I sent them the section in my policy that expressly says they cover ice makers and pictures of the ice maker & and door dispenser for ice & ice water they denied it's! That's when I sent complaints against SHW to the State & Federal Consumer Affairs Departments & the Better Business Bureau! ENTER BIG AL'S APPLIANCE REPAIR. On December 30th I went to 'Angi's' App. looking for a local company to fix my ice maker. Immediately I was given the name of 4 local companies that repaired ice makers. Big Al's Appliance Repair had the greatest number of 5-star ratings so I called them. I was expecting them to tell me someone would be out sometime after New Years. Instead, I was told Al would stop by between 4 & 6 pm that afternoon... and he did. Al was at my front door at 5:35 pm on the 30th with his tool cart. He came in, checked out my ice maker and showed me the problem... I needed a new unit. The diagnostic fee he charged was waived because I told him to go ahead & order a new one. I expected him to tell me he would return sometime after the 1st of the year and again I was wrong. He told me he would be able to install a new ice maker the very next day. At approximately 12:15 pm he was at my front door with his tool cart and my new ice maker. By 12:50 he had replaced my ice maker & it was making ice. Once again he again explained & showed me what he had to do to install the new ice maker and get it working! The total cost was very reasonable and Al, unlike the Coldzone Repairman, left the work area spotless. I already told Big Al he was now my go-to appliance repairman and will refer any & all friends & relatives who need appliances repaired to Big Al's Appliance Repair.

To replace the valve they cracked the back of our fridge and didn't tell us. They also damaged a shelf that they removed during the repair and didn't tell us. Now the shelf falls down every time we open vegetable drawer. We called the owner to have them fix the issues they caused and he grudgingly came out and complained to me the whole time that there was no need for him to fix the cracks in the back of the fridge and even tried to convince me that the shelf issue, which never happened before, had nothing to do with the repair tech who also cracked the back panel. He expects me to believe that it is a pure coincidence that the issue started immediately after the tech left. What a liar. Not only that, but changing the valve made almost no difference in the water flow, so we changed the filter just to see, even through the light hadn't come on yet, and the flow was back to normal. I don't recommend this company. They don't know what they're doing, they do poor quality work and the owner is dishonest and has a bad attitude.

I had already visited several big-box stores, but so many people insisted Rosner's was *the* place to go that I made the 50-minute drive. Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. The moment I walked through the door, I was approached by several salespeople at once. Instead of feeling welcomed, it immediately put me on edge -- it honestly felt more like walking onto a used-car lot than an appliance showroom. One salesperson eventually stepped forward, but the interaction didn't improve. There was no smile, no warmth, and no attempt to connect. I work closely with sales professionals every week, so I understand the role -- but basic approachability matters. I even tried to break the ice with a bit of humor, but there was zero engagement in return. When I mentioned I was interested in a Samsung refrigerator, I was told Rosner's doesn't carry Samsung because they "can't be serviced if there's an issue." That was enough for me to end the visit. I ultimately purchased the Samsung refrigerator from a big-box retailer, complete with warranties, free delivery, installation, and removal of my old unit -- services Rosner's charges extra for. In the end, I didn't find better pricing, better selection, or a better sales experience to justify the trip. I'm genuinely puzzled as to why Rosner's is so frequently recommended. Constructive feedback: Rosner's should identify sales staff who struggle to connect with first-time customers and invest in basic customer-experience training. A little friendliness -- even a simple smile -- would go a long way.

All had pretty good pricing but their installation and delivery times were farther out than I would have liked. I then remembered Rosner's, where I had purchased a couple of appliances in the past. Reached out to them, explained my situation and they basically guaranteed me installation within 24 hours and the same price as from the big box stores. On delivery day everything went well, they showed up exactly as promised and got the unit installed quickly, I was really happy with the service. I definitely have to remember to use them in the future and not reflexively go with the chain stores. Overall I'd give them a solid five stars.
