A customer since 1981 means nothing to this branch or any Wells Fargo. They hold funds for 10 days even if they have already received the funds from a local bank claiming 'irregular' signature even when it isn't their customer signing the check and they have no idea what the signature should be. So disappointing to treated like hamburger and not a real person. I closed that account and after the other day I'll be closing two more. Never again. I met the nicest and best banker today. Connie V. She went out of her way to help me and I don't even have an account there, my parents did. She was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. I heard this branch is closing permanently. Good riddance. In my last visit, I performed a withdrawal I have done 100 times and for a lesser amount than usual. It was a small % of my available balance and they treated me like a criminal. I had to suffer through 15 mins of Q&A on my past transactions to prove my identity even after verifying ATM PIN, drivers license, and my signature card. This is my home branch. read more

I have recently moved to Aptos, and I am transferring my banking activities to this Wells Fargo location. I have been very impressed with the personal attention I received from the manager Daniel Tovar, and his staff. They have gone out of their way to accommodate all my banking needs in a very professional manner. Every bank may suffer from varying degrees of customer service satisfaction, but if I could give this bank more than five stars. I would! From account management to mortgage refinancing and financial planning, this particular branch goes over the top. Thank You Wells Fargo! I'm writing another review since these folks have had some real issues lately on the Corporate level, but remember, individual employees are the ones we actually deal with. I had some issues with fees recently, and decided to close a credit card and pay off and close a business line of credit. I was hit with an annual fee & interest which made me seriously consider going to another bank. Thanks to Judith Y., I am staying with WF. She was very patient with me, and stayed on the phone with the main corporate office for about 45 minutes. She jumped through many hoops. She contacted me a couple days later to inform me that I was being refunded. This woman needs a raise. Thank you so much Judith! I came in fuming, and turns out it might of been my fault. I've always been with WF, but a few problems have accrued in recent years. Either way I walked in pretty mad and Laurisa and Andrew calmly dealt with me, problem was solved, probably my fault. my sincere apologies. read more

I have banked with Wells Fargo for decades. Usually there customer service has been fine. I went in to make a transaction I've made a 100 times, including recently. With 0 problems, ever. This time they refused to help me and were extremely snotty. They stated they are following a long standing policy. The only difference between this time, and every other time, is I'm now visibly disabled. I believe I was presumed to be a scammer. Horrible, degrading experience. Horrible bank. read more

Everyone knows that Wells Fargo in general pays low and charges high but there is one branch that earns its keep. The Aptos Wells Fargo has incredible customer service. The only other bank this good was (now defunct) World Savings, many of whose employees were hired by Aptos WF. -- When my mother's WF branch in SJ refused to help with an issue, the Aptos branch helped me with it. -- When I needed something notarized that was unrelated to WF, their notary did it for me for free. -- When customers queue up, the manager comes out of his office to work as a teller. -- Everyone is friendly, helpful, and competent. -- The guard opens the door for customers and greets them. This is the worst bank ever in terms of professionalism and I want to especially give a bad review for Julie who works there. My aunt is dying of stage 4 cancer and is bedridden. She signed a power of attorney and it was notarized with witnesses. I went in and they didn't approve it because it was missing a line. That's fine. They gave me another form which I had notarized. I brought it back and Julie looks at it and the first thing she does is squint at it and tell me my aunt's signature and the notary were a copy not an original. I said no, this is the original. I mean who goes out and accuses me the first thing she does? From the get go she had a bad attitude as if I"m a criminal. I'm just trying to pay my aunt's bills so her power doesn't go out while she dies of cancer! I tell her I'm upset and want to talk to the manager (without even raising my voice) and she tells me to calm down, as if I'm dangerous. Then, they have the security guard stand by me while the manager snatches the signed power of attorney forms and won't return it to me!! She steps back like as if to not let me get it! That's my own property and it was on forms that THEY gave handed to me last time I was there. It does not belong to them and I didn't do anything illegal. I still don't have the forms back. They did call me later and reimbursed me for the cost of the notary but that only helps so much. It was the worst experience I've ever had at a bank or any place of business for that matter. read more

This applies only to Wells Fargo in Aptos. They are wonderful. My experience with every other branch of Wells Fargo would lead me to conclude that they all stink but Aptos is different. Everyone knows that Wells Fargo charges too much for services and pays too little for capital. But the Aptos branch is so helpful that they make up for all of this. read more

Wells Fargo financed a auto purchase for me in 2014 for a new car. All of my payments have been made on time (automatic deductions from my checking account). I recently attempted to refinance the auto with them and was turned down. My credit rating is higher now than when they first financed the car. The banker I applied for refinancing with said the process should only be a day or two and if I had questions to send him an email. After a week and several unanswered emails I received a one sentence email from him saying the refinance was denied because of my credit rating. Strange as my credit his higher than when they approved the original loan. I have been with this bank for 25 years. I will refinance the auto with another bank as well as my home mortgage and I am in the process of closing my checking account. I have a new bank. read more
