The first check was required to be paper and they placed a hold on my check for SIX DAYS. I was depositing this check on the 1st of the month when all my bills were due and I was barely making the cut to survive. When I asked why or what I could do the lady at the desk only told me "service generated". I asked if there would have been a way for me to just cash my check and she told me no there would still be a hold. Later learned I could have gone and cashed it at Walmart or Hyvee. Customer service was terrible I got no explanation until I spent 30 minutes calling customer service and they told me there is nothing I can do now. Will be closing my account when my check clears you cannot do this to people.

This is how they artificially lower the interest rates and get more clicks, by not being transparent on hidden loan costs. ' Credit unions are supposed to be 'for the people,' 'neighbors helping neighbors' but this is crooked. You'll get far better service just financing at the dealership or through a national bank. At least dealerships are honest about screwing you and their commissions. I've never seen a bank charge fees like this one does. They're refilling their tills with nickels and dimes for sure!

Although they don't have all the bells and whistles or accessibility like a Wells Fargo, they make up for it with customer service and consistency. I had a situation in which my card was charged erroneously. I filled out the form for this and faxed it in. I had supporting documentation too. It took forever to get resolution but I liked that the bank credited me the money back while they pursued the business.

Both downtown branches of US BANK are full of super nice folks who know how to small talk. The street location is good too and they even have a free parking lot and drive through. One tip on the parking lot is, they have tokens to let you out inside, I don't know how many times I have parked in there and forgot to grab a token to get out of the lot!
