I've been trying, lost count at 7 times, for over 2 years to remove our discontinued phone number…read morefrom the account, yet the system still wants to send a MFA code to a number that does not exist! Neither the Linda Mar branch nor the Chico main office were helpful and succesful. They tried again today and will see again if it will take. :( FYI, this Linda Mar branch will no longer be open on Saturdays staring Sept. 29, 2025 (see attached photo). Definitely not the great customer service that 1st National Bank provided longtime customers before being merged under TCBK. Time to look for a new bank.

My younger daughter is already transitioning from High School student to college student…read more One of the things she wanted to do was establish her own bank account (not the one she used to share with me because minors can't have their own account.) She chose First National Bank. Her older sister has an account here (and a big bank) and I have a Safe Deposit box and teensy account here, and so she felt this was a great bank to have her first banking experience. Cynthia O'Shea assisted my daughter with choosing the appropriate account, explained how things work, and basically made my daughter feel confident and comfortable going to the bank for her financial needs. She didn't talk down to her or speak to me then get affirmation from my daughter - no. I was in the background and my daughter basically handled the entire transaction on her own. Cynthia took the time to answer all of my daughters questions. She really went above and beyond to not only help my daughter, she handled it with flawless professionalism that left my daughter feeling confident she chose this bank for her first "grown up" account. She even sent my daughter a lovely hand written thank you card. This bank isn't perfect - but it fits my daughters needs. My constructive criticism: ATM deposits should be processed first thing in the morning so clients have access to their money right away. It's bad enough the money isn't available ASAP like it is at big banks. Also, the balance after said deposit doesn't reflect the real time balance with the deposit just made. In 2016 - that isn't right. The technology for this has existed for a long time. The online banking experience is terrible. It isn't modern or efficient. It needs a serious upgrade. Also, do away with those antiquated fees for not having a certain balance. Paying $7 as a penalty to hold my money, just not enough of it, doesn't make sense. It feels like a "poor tax" Sending a threatening letter to send me to collections if I have a negative balance for x amount of days due to the $7 fee is also antiquated ...and overkill. Seriously? I haven't had anyone threaten to send me to collections since I was a teenager in the 80's. (Remember Columbia House Record Club?) I have my mortgage and an account specifically designated for paying my bills online at a big bank. I wanted my First National account for a savings security net to put random $5 and $10 I skip spending on coffee or bag lunch vs eating out. If I have to pay $7 until my little random deposits equal the daily required fee, I should just close my account here and add a savings to my B of A checking account. They don't charge a $7 fee. They don't threaten to report me to collections if my account is overdrawn. The money I deposit in the ATM is available to use right away. My post-ATM deposit receipt accurately reflects my balance. Actually - let's be really serious with how modern big banks are. I can deposit checks with my phone and avoid the ATM altogether. Banks like B of A also has things like "keep the change" campaigns off and on that encourage the kind of savings I want to have - just random money, like change, saved into an account. It would be nice to have a family/community bank like First National offer the same modern perks big banks have been offering for years. Having said that - constructive criticism included, my daughter wanted a bank that didn't feel intimidating. She wanted to know she could feel comfortable asking questions or personalized assistance from the same people she has built a professional banking relationship with. She didn't want to feel like a number. For that, Cynthia O'Shea earned our family's trust and these 5 stars for perfection.

Just got out of the bank just now.... Worst experience ever. Longest wait time. I'm a patient…read moreperson but when it comes to unnecessary prolonged wait time it's not okay. The teller working today (the only teller working today -- Sandra Enriquez, she is a wonderful and attentive teller, although there are HUGE areas of improvement... mainly being she needs to cut the chitchat to a minimum. Her main duty is to be attentive to the guest needs -- which is banking, not about their life story or what has been happening to them that DOES NOT REGARD ANYTHING ABOUT ANY BANKING TRANSACTIONS. I was observing and listening to everything Sandra E. and the elderly gentleman were talking about in their conversation. At one point, she had assisted him with all of his questions and needs for his banking like his checks and how he wants his bills, how he likes everything in a particular way, and what he needed her to print out in a specific and particular order. She was very accommodating and attentive with that which is awesome because that is her job. But what she really truly needs to work on for a huge area of improvement is keeping chitchat to a minimum. And I'm saying this again because it came to a point where she allowed the guest to tell her his whole life story that is unrelated to banking which prolonged everyone else's wait time she was the only bank teller when I walked in and there was already a line of seven people. It grew even bigger once I waited in line a few minutes after which then maybe about 15 minutes after waiting a second bank teller comes into help assist Sandra with the line. After a 35 minute long wait time, finally the older gentleman quickly walked away and as he was doing, so the next lady in line made a comment and said what is this chitchat before heading to Sandra's station and Sandra claps back and says "it's not chitchat ma'am!" Honestly it definitely was chitchat because everyone heard everything the whole entire story of how his dog had a bad stomach and he was having diarrhea all day and just the guys's entire life story not to mention after the gentleman was done with his banking the gentleman continued to have a Conversation with Sandra because he found out that she was Latina because he asked for her first and last name, and so he decided to start speaking Spanish English to her which is unnecessary because there is a long line very unacceptable. Really, the line was really long and the fact that Sandra could not cut the chitchat to a minimum and focus on her main goal, which is banking. It made everyone's day longer and dragging.

This is the most comprehensive Wells Fargo branch in my area, so it's one I'll visit for more…read morecomplicated transactions like wire transfers and foreign currency exchange. This is also one of the only Wells Fargo branches in the area that has a drive-thru ATM, which can be a convenience when the ATM has cash in it. :-P The reason I give this rating three stars is because there is usually a dearth of tellers once inside the branch. Also, there was some kind of theft ring in the parking lot where the thieves "caught" the wireless unlock code to my car and followed me to my next destination where, while I was inside the other store, they proceeded to unlock my car and liberate the cash inside without damaging anything. Since I'd already withdrawn the money, the branch was not responsible for the theft. I still let them know and I'll be VERY vigilant next time I have to visit this branch. (TIP: If you see anyone suspicious in the parking lot pretending to be on their cell phone but looking at you a bit more than usual, take note (and probably a quick pic if you can)). In sum, the recommendations I have for this branch would be to beef up both the teller and parking lot security presence.
