This is my third time at this branch to close my father's account as he has passed away and the death process to close an account apparently takes forever and you need an hour long appointment. My third time here, I was running late but the branch would not pick up their phone. I called several times but no answer. Then when I got there the lady said we have a ten minute policy, I told her this is my third time at this branch to close and report my father's death and so she took me in. Why does it take forever to close and report a death with this bank? It literally took chase 15 mins to process and close my dad's bank account. Secondly, why do you make your bankers waste their time on hold with whoever the department is at the end of the line? Isn't there a system in place to process this electronically? I had already done my part reporting this online. Why do I need to go to the branch still? It's a commercial bank for Christ sake with a net worth of 150B!!!! There should be room to invest in a better platform, maybe the cloud or a better CRM to give customers a better experience. Please, find a way to streamline this process. It's ridiculous how when it's obvious when there's a long line and only 2 tellers that everyone else needs to stop what they're doing and open a window to get the line down especially on pay days. I've been to other branches where an employee actually goes and asked if there are any "deposits only" and will take those people. I have been a Wells Fargo customer for 40 years and recently I have received the worst service. I have been trying to establish a savings account for my grandson before his first birthday. I had 3 appointments canceled (all due to a shortage of staff), with the most recent one being my appointment at 3pm today (Friday the 13th ). When I received the call today to say the banker called in sick and my appointment was cancelled yet again. I expressed my dissatisfaction and advised I wanted to file a complaint. I was advised I would have to once again make a new appointment, which the earliest would be in 19 days (Feb. 1). I received a call back a little while later in which I was told a banker (Monica) from another location would be able to assist me today at 4pm, for which I gladly accepted. When I arrived at this branch for my appointment I was about 10 minutes early, I waited near the area where the chairs are for someone to assist. I was never approached, so promptly at 4pm I walked up to a lady at the first desk who was wearing headphones, she took them off and then when I said I had an appointment she said ok. She did not identify herself, for which I had to ask if she was Monica, which she acknowledged. I told her what I was there to do, she asked for my ID and debit card which I set on the table in front of us. She told me i would need to provide the original SS card for my grandson, I told her I only had a copy from my daughter. I explained my daughter and son-in-law had recently set up an account with WF for him just a couple week ago and it was verified. Monica asked me for identifying information for that account for which I provided. She looked up the account but then did tell me she still needed the original SS#. I have been a Wells Fargo customer for 40 years, and my daughter, who is on my grandsons account also has an account linked to my account, however Monica did not once look up my account, in fact she never even looked at my ID or debit card for which she would have found this information and perhaps an exception could have been made to accept a copy of the SS card. Not only am I upset that Monica, or Wells Fargo in general would not let me establish a saving account I would like to know why Monica even looked up my grandsons account just based on the verbal information I provided even though I am not on that account. So based on this information it goes to show that they can be strict on some rules and not on others. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Today I went to the Wells Fargo in Pittsburg and received the worst service. I've been a customer since 2018 and always came to this Wells Fargo but today the person who attended me was the worst I understand the shortage of change and I agree for what she gave me but she was awfully rude. Once she handed me my change she turned her back and didn't give me my receipt. I did not do anything for her to be that disrespectful. It was a banker with full blonde hair. I went to Wells Fargo not too long ago just to get my paperwork notarized, and the atmosphere felt very interesting. I felt as if I was being integrated over my paperwork as if I was a criminal. However, this wasn't the first time I felt like this because I live right up to the street from this branch and I will never go here unless it's my last resort. Some employees are very cold and have sarcastic comments when it comes to my bank account every time I've been helped. This is unfortunately the 2nd time that I've experienced unsatisfactory service at this particular branch. Yesterday, it was with banker Erika G. The claims department instructed me to go into the branch and speak with a banker to resolve my issues. Erika initially seemed willing to help as we walked to her cubicle but as I began to explain my issues she came across as condescending and unwilling to help despite knowing my true concerns. I wanted to close my account and open a new one due to fraudulent activity. She continued to tell me how it would take days for claims to resolve my account and there was nothing she or any other branch could do. After seeing that we weren't going to get anything resolved, I told her that she of no help and she apologized that I felt that way. I left and went to another branch on Clayton in Concord for which banker Rapa Y. was very accommodating. She closed my old account, opened a new account and gave me temporary checks, debit card and issued a new debit card to come in mail. Thanks Rapa. No thanks Erika. read more

I walked in this branch on Friday April 27 2018 to get a document notarized for school. The young man who assisted me was less than accommodating. In fact I found him rude, arrogant and sarcastic. I am an older African American woman. The form I needed notarized was a "statement of educational purpose". First he just sat there gazing at the document and didn't say anything for about 60 seconds. After this uncomfortable silenceI I ask if there was a problem. His answer was the most prejudiced response I've ever heard personally. I quote "Am I notarizing a signature" yes was the answer Duh! Next he says "This is for a student" with a smug look on his face and looking around as if he expected someone else to answer! yes was my answer again. Are you the student? He asked as if surprised! At which point I am irritated. First of all why is it such a shock that I am a student? Are you discriminating against me because of my age or a woman or African American , which one is it? Further more why would I try and notarized a document for someone else? First of all why is he questioning whether I am a student or not! Are you so ignorant that you don't know that students can be any age! Maybe he needs more training to be sensitive to customer needs. Needless to say I left feeling like I'd been violated on so many levels! I've been banking with this bank for years and after many other unacceptable interactions I am finally speaking out! I just have to say this Wells Fargo Branch is awesome! We have been banking here for a while now and couldn't be happier! Scott is our personal banker and he makes our lives easy with all the accounts we have. We have several businesses so this is important. Their customer service is wonderful especially if you are a business owner. (we have banked with other banks and can't say the same about all.) The branch manager is extremely nice and once when the mortgage department screwed up our house payment and put it through our account 4 times in one month he was right on it making sure he fixed all the issues with the mortgage dept. He even offered me a pepsi when I was sitting at his desk upset about it. :) He also reversed all the fees associated with the bank error. Taking responsibility for their actions another rare thing these days... :) Last but not least as much as we love our personal banker and like chatting with him we are really busy and are in too much of a hurry to stand in lines or go inside the branch. Problem solved. They have a drive thru line which is super convenient! read more

First let me say that I can't stand a staff that lacks diversity. I'm in Pittsburg a community that largely serves minorities. In a line with 5 African-Americans and they tried it. One refusing to let me speak to a rep who has athority to make the type of transactions I do. One I pulled wealth and threatened to close both business accounts and my trust they changed their tune. And said were only harassing you for your protection. After all their negative press in the media you would think they would do better. These can instances can only be eradicated with a diverse teller staff. Do better and hire people that look like the ones you're servicing. read more

I was really skeptical about coming here because of the horrible reviews left on this location, but I decided to come anyway because I put off making an account for too long and this bank was the closest to house Anyway I came here and the line was so long, I was already dreading waiting for an hour. But actually, I got pulled out of the line by the manager and got directed to a banker since I was waiting in the wrong line. I really like how the manager went around to each person in the line and greeted them, asked them how they were, what they needed help with, and if they needed anything like water or tea or whatever. I've never seen that in any business, let alone a bank so I really liked that. I got directed to a banker named Sergio and honestly he was so nice! Everyone there is so welcoming and it feels like they genuinely enjoy exchanges pleasantries and keeping up a conversation while helping you get your business done. I previously was with Union Bank but I switched banks because my previous banker was moving to a farther location. I feel like you should trust and like your banker, because after all they're holding all your money for you! I completely trust Sergio because he is a down to earth person and he made EVERYTHING so easy to understand. He walked me through the entire process of owning a card, depositing money, ordering a new card, etc. Everything was so extremely thorough, I feel like I could totally be bank agent now too In my opinion I like coming here. There is a lot of people who are here all day long but there's a lot of parking and nice employees, you won't mind the wait. Also another note, if you act like asshole (as I've seen quite often here) expect to be treated like one. You gotta wait in line like everyone else, you shouldn't have any complaints! read more

Based on improvements from previous years to today, this bank has spearheaded the value of customer service. I went in expecting the dreaded line with the bannisters on the sides and grumpy people in front and behind me. No! As soon as I'm walking through the door, a banker greeted me with a smile and found out what I needed. He escorted me to another banker and he sat me down and offered some water or coffee for my wait. He returned with water and then within minutes had me seated in front of a personal banker. Her service was exemplary. I don't think I've had a better customer service experience at a Wells Fargo bank and I've been a customer of theirs for over 15 years. Kudos to you guys!!! read more

Horrible customer service!!!! I went in today to cash a check drawn on a Wells Fargo account. I am not a Wells Fargo account holder, so the teller informed me that I just see a personal banker. He interviewed/interrogated me for 10 minutes while "building a profile" in their system. I had to show him my DL, but when he asked for my SSN I refused to provide it. I informed him several times that I was in a hurry, and he did try to be quick. When finished, he told me to go stand in the teller line again to cash the check. I asked to go to the front of the line, since I had already stood in the line once. When he said no, I asked for the branch manager. At this point, I was really irritated that they had put me through so much just to cash a Wells Fargo check. I asked the branch manager if I could please go to the front of the line, and he agreed; then, he suggested that I should become a Wells Fargo customer, to which I said that I would never be a Wells Fargo customer after my experience today. He clearly took offense and ordered me to go to the back of the line. When I advised him that I would post my experience to social media, he said I was threatening him. Realizing there was nothing I could do, I went to stand in line... wishing I had that interaction on video. I pulled out my cell phone to take a picture when he calls out "he's taking a picture... call 911." Yep, he threatened to call the police!!! At that point, I decided it's time for me to leave... without getting my check cashed - and without getting a picture. All because this hot headed young branch manager got offended when I said I would never open an account with his bank. BTW, a friend said he went through the same ordeal to get a check cashed, and then Wells Fargo started calling him daily saying they were ready to finalize opening his account. Avoid Wells Fargo at all costs, and especially this particular branch!!! read more

This Wells Fargo is amazing! I went in on Monday to establish a business account and met with Scott Stewart for about three or four hours when he clearly explained what all of my options are. We were unable to set up a credit card with the business account but he explained to me that it is a possibility to get one in the near future with how he will be setting up the account. I had no idea what I was doing or what I was getting into, but Scott made sure to spend as much time with me as needed to ensure I understood what this journey to success entails. I am so thankful that I can come to him with any questions i have! The service has been absolutely wonderful and I am proud to call Wells Fargo the bank I bank with! I went in yesterday and Scott was not there but the other Business Specialist named Faen Rios was quick to help me with some minor changes I needed to make on my account. Again I can't stress how thankful I am that Pittsburg Main has a great team. I am already encouraging friends to open up a business account at Pittsburg Main :0)! read more
