Here are the facts: I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to see Dr. Roberts. She prescribed a B12 shot for $80 and some meds. The office visit was another $350! The meds didnt work for my condition so I called back 3 times trying to get her to prescribe something else that might work. She finally called me back and said I should come back in to her office. So I can waste another 2 hours and $350? I dont think so. read more

Dr. Roberts and her team are a true gem of a practice! Traveling from Northern to Southern California for tattoo removal is not ideal but is something that I will do to experience Dr. Roberts' high level of professionalism and superior level of service. The results are amazing! In the future, if there is any other dermatology treatment I need (or want), I will go to Dr. Roberts. The office & staff Dr. Wendy's staff is as nice and pleasant as they come. While evaluating whether to go to Dr. Roberts for treatment (tattoo removal), her staff (I worked with Mari) was always responsive (series of email exchanges since I live in Northern California) and ensured that, when I came in for an in person consultation, if I chose treatment, it could be done that day - maximizing my trip to Southern California. Mari asked detailed questions in order to best determine whether Dr. Roberts could help. Upon arrival at the office, I was warmly greeted and offered water. Expecting a small paper cup, I was surprised by a nice large glass with a straw. This was the first of many little touches that help elevate Dr. Roberts' office environment & services. Going back to the treatment room, Mari introduced to the nurse who would be helping with the consultation. The nurse (I feel horrible I can't remember her name) completed the new patient intake forms without making me feel like a suspect being interrogated. Once finished, I was introduced to Dr. Roberts. She does brighten up a room but it's her professionalism that immediately comes across. She sits and ensures that she has full medical information and knows exactly your expectations/desires about a treatment. The procedure Prior to coming to Dr. Roberts, I've had 9 laser sessions to remove a tattoo. During my prior sessions at a different Doctor's office, never once did I meet the doctor. All procedures were done by a RN. For treatment, I was instructed to, at my option, apply a numbing cream to the area to be lasered prior to arriving for my appointment. The numbing cream was an additional cost to the treatment and the application instructions minimal. The actual treatment at the other office was just lasering and an icepack after as I left the building. In seeing Dr. Roberts, part of the treatment is their prepping the area - this made a SIGNIFICANT difference in my comfort during the lasering procedure and likely the results. The nurse applied a numbing cream (the same I previously had to purchased separate from the treatment at the other office). Once I was numb (you still feel pressure in the area), Dr. Roberts came in to do the procedure. Prior to starting, Dr. Roberts again checked to ensure that I was fully informed on the treatment process and whether I had an questions/concerns. During the lasering, I did not experience any discomfort (a notable difference from prior sessions when I was in such pain I had to take a break and was sobbing). The results This review is 13 days after my first session with Dr. Roberts. Already, I notice a significant amount of the tattoo (older black symbols surrounded by a newer colored flower) gone. After my 9 prior sessions at another doctor's office, the tattoo was still clearly visible: some of the symbols were slightly faded, some color was slightly faded and the outline was no longer definitive. I do have some hypo-pigmentation around the area but experienced this was prior treatment as well and is a condition that will heal naturally (and welcomed compared to the tattoo). Now, 13 days after my visit with Dr. Roberts, the interior part of the tattoo is almost completely gone and the color surrounding the symbols (the newest part of the tattoo) is significantly lighter and the shape less visible. I've scheduled my next visit (and trip to Southern California) and looking forward to my continued treatments with Dr. Roberts and full removal of the tattoo. read more

Over the years I have had a number of procedures and they are so well done with a very natural appearance. In February 2021 I began to experience sudden and rapid hair loss. My sister found Dr. Roberts online and suggested I see her, that she had a specialty regarding hair loss. I have been with Dr. Roberts since March and she is a blessing. Firstly, she understood and showed empathy for the awful experience of my hair loss (I'm 69 and have always had healthy shoulder length hair.) which left me with only strands of hair and an exposed scalp for no apparent reason. She guided me with confidence about what I needed to do to stimulate hair growth. (A previous dermatologist had diagnosed me with telogen effluvium which was accurate but she had no guidance for me other than to have my thyroid checked.) With her careful listening Dr. Roberts said that my hair loss was primarily due to stress (which was recently confirmed by my visit with an endocrinologist). Due to her expertise she was able to empower me with a number of specific actions I could take to stimulate hair growth. I am following all of them as well as maintaining monthly visits. While guiding me with specific strategies to deal with my hair loss she also gave me hope and much encouragement. Whenever I'm sharing my hair loss experience to others I always recommend Dr. Roberts. And, yes, my hair is growing back. A thousand thanks to Dr. Wendy Roberts. read more

I went to see Dr. Roberts for melasma. I was initially disappointed during my wait to see Dr. Roberts on my first visit because the staff seemed unable to complete one task before they were asked to do another. There seemed to be some confusion in the front office. I had a wait a significant amount of time and was frankly quite annoyed because I had waited over 40 minutes after completing my paperwork and was passed up by another who arrived for her appointment early! NOT a good first impression at all! Annoyed even further when I had to wait for the assistant and then the doctor in the room another 15 minutes or so. BUT, and this is a BIG but, once the physician came in....I was relieved and comfortable that I had chosen the right place to come for my issues. Dr. Roberts completed a thorough examination and question and answer session with me, she did not rush and dealt with me face to face, eye to eye with sincere concern and a desire to help. I was SO pleased that I came home and discussed her services with 2 family members before I even tried the products and found out if they worked. Now I have been using the products for 2 weeks and the melasma is fading and IT IS working. It is a tedious process, but I am so happy that it is getting better and I am seeing results so fast. if I had not had to wait so long I would feel comfortable giving 5 stars, but being that it is one of my biggest pet peeves it would be inappropriate of me to provide same. read more

There is nothing to compare with a rash that you can't control. Nothing in your medicine cabinet works. You may, or may not, share your problem with friends, hoping they have a solution. As a person who has suffered from 3 different serious rashes, I want to urge you to make a call to a dermatologist as soon as you notice a change in your skin's condition. That call will save you many sleepless nights, a loss of appetite, end the pain, and refocus you on your life. The only hitch is that you must choose your dermatologist wisely, the first time. I met with six different specialists here in the valley over a two year period of time. Although, along the way, I got some relief. It wasn't until I was treated by Dr. Wendy Roberts that my skin and life returned to normal. She addressed my condition and my comfort. A balance that I needed in order to become whole again. Now, I have a new outlook on my diet. My skin is returning to normal and I am able to get the rest I was deprived of before. If you're looking for a Glamour Magazine "rock star" this is the place. The office caters to selling products, tattoo removal and improving your looks. I went there during my stay in the desert as a cancerous recurrence on my leg required a second procedure. While awaiting Dr. Roberts in the examining room an office staff member must have followed protocol to be sure to introduce every patient to the latest products. Again, I was there due to a cancerous condition. After Dr Roberts did the procedure, she told me the results would be available in a week. Being anxious for the pathology report I started calling the office every few days and all I was told was that someone would call me with the results. After 6 calls to the office I went in one morning to get a copy of the results to forward to my dermatologist at home. Dr. Roberts reads her own pathology specimens and mine was dated one week after the procedure. Still, sitting there in the office the staff was reluctant to give me the results and they asked me to return at another time as Dr Roberts wasn't there. By now my patience was wearing thin and I told them to hand me a copy or I would call the Medical Board. Honestly, this was the only thing that got their attention. The office staff called the Doctor and came out to the waiting room to hand me a cell phone. Dr Roberts was quite abrasive but reluctantly told the staff to give me the report. The one star is for the patient and helpful staff at Dr. Roberts' office who deserve credit where credit is due. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the doctor. I waited for an hour to see her and then she took 5 minutes to diagnose me with a contagious skin condition for which she prescribed me a standard (but pretty heavy duty) costly medication ($300/month out of pocket). I tried to ask questions but she swiftly dismissed them and hurried me off. The medication was a truly traumatic experience and I was not warned about such (apparently common and experienced - by me) side effects as insomnia, vomiting, extreme loss of appetite, wooziness and photo-sensitivity (instant rash upon contact with the sun despite using 50 SPF lotion). The doctor was away on vacation and there was no 'on call doc' at the office so I ended up going to my old dermo in Beverly Hills who was very surprised to discover that I had in fact been misdiagnosed and had a non-contagious skin condition that would go away on its own. He took me off the medication and I have been fine ever since, healing well. I know I came in as a new patient and potential 'one off' (as I don't live in Rancho full time) but I wish this dermatologist would have taken a few more minutes to listen and properly diagnose me. Her lack of interest in my case and/or lack of expertise ultimately resulted in a ruined Christmas with my family and a lot of undue stress. Very disappointing :( read more

I have no doubt that Dr. Roberts is expert in her field. However, I was in the office for 2 hours for a few shots of Botox and when I said something when she finally appeared instead of apologizing, she said I did not have to stay if I was not happy. No one in the office seemed to think there was a problem being kept waiting like that. Thought Dr. Roberts was rude and inconsiderate of my time. Will not be going back even though there were further treatments I might have bought. read more
