Let me preface and say, I love Wendy's. I will gladly pay more to eat their food than a McDonald's or Burger King or Carl's Jr. Unfortunately this was the worst customer experience I've had with a Wendy's... on top of that the prices here are more expensive than other Wendy's. The best Wendy's you can go to. This location makes the best fries, burgers, chili, bacon, and don't forget the bacon. I like coming here and eating bacon. With my frostie to wash down with afterwards. I sometimes stuff my face with a cheeseburger because they are so hot when they are ready. The mayo is so damn good. Not like McDonald's, this mayo taste so good you know it will clog your arteries. Just saying it's probably not the healthiest option but at least they have salads for those who are vegan. read more

Slowest service ever. We were in the drive through because it was closed, no one was in front of us and they took so long to even take our order. After finally ordering nib one was behind us even after we pulled off. We parked because we were gonna tail gate with a friend who was behind the van. Our friends didn't order until we were almost done eating. One car between us and still over 15 mins. Fast food. Not even close. Then to top it all off... we ordered chili cheese fries which they did not close the container and it completely melted through paper bag and all over the car shifter, Carpets,e brake and so much more. We hit the drive through at about 11:30pm and it was a long wait before we could order. We paid about $20 for two S'Awesome Bacon Burger combos (with fries and a drink). At first when we rolled up to the drive through window and were handed 2 huge 32 oz drinks, we thought we would be getting food just as big. But this was not the case. Today my son went through the drive thru and had horrible experience with the lady. I've already called several times to speak with their manager but only get a voicemail. My son ordered a combo meal and as he approached the window, he decided to confirm his order with the lady and she said "oh, you want a combo?" He said yes and then she whispered in Spanish, under her breath, an insulting slur. My son was shocked and looked over to his friend and asked "Did I just hear that right? His friend said yes! Let me please start that I do not eat fast food a lot, however this Wendy is one of the very places I would go for a hamburger and old good fries! The store is clean, well lit and decorated, they even got a fireplace! Also the restroom is big and clean and you get your food pretty fast. Another important aspect for me that the staff is very friendly and you can always find a nice seat in here. 5 starts for sure! :) And if you happen to come in when Rogan is there, you will have a very friendly service and learn something new about places or history- he is absolutely amazing, more like a concierge service at no additional cost! :) read more

2.5 stars? Come on people, give credit where credit is due. Any Wendy's has to be compared against other Wendy's (or at least other FF joints), and by that benchmark, the Belmont branch is A-OK. On almost all my visits in the past few years, the people working here have served me food that came out right, tasted fresh, and didn't take too long. When you go down to the Redwood City Wendy's and cough up $6 for the flagship chicken sandwich, you sometimes get a warmed-up slab of crap that was made half an hour ago. Rarely happens at Belmont. Everything just seems to taste ten minutes newer here. That's even true of the stuff that's gets cooked en masse and is supposed to always be ready, like nuggets and fries, which by the way are cheaper here. I've never met any dick employees. And to the management's credit, I once watched a n00b pick up a dropped cup from the floor and get scolded for not washing his hands -- which shows _somebody_ cares. As icing on the cake, this has been the best-looking Wendy's in the area since the remodel. It's always had the best view. When I started Yelping, I decided I would not include reviews of any fast food restaurants or well-known chains. Why? Not because I'm a food snob, but isn't the point of chains convenience, reliability, and consistency? Why waste my time reviewing something so familiar and predictable? I have eaten at this local Wendy's 3 times and by the third time, I felt I must Yelp this place and save you all from eating at this horrible, horrible burger joint. The first time, I was starving after a long day of apartment searching. Pretty much anything would have tasted good to me at that point. I was satisfied. The second time, it was late at night. I had already eaten dinner, but I had an irrepressible craving for a milk shake and fries. I took my pajamas off, got dressed, got in my car and drove to Wendy's and ordered a Jr. Bacon cheeseburger, fries and a frosty. It's important to recognize the effort and anticipation that a midnight fast food run entails. Lots of restaurants slack in those final hours and don't realize how late night patrons often have made special efforts to get there and specifically have a craving to fix - all the more reason to give the food more care and attention. As I drove away, I tasted the fries. They were hot, just taken out of the oil, but limp and undercooked. The fries were actually WHITE. I cannot put into words the utter disappointment I felt, after my mouth had worked itself into salivation, imagining crispy, salty fried goodness. It gets worst. At home, I grabbed my Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger and it was hard. I thought they had new packaging where maybe they had cardboard protecting the shape of the burger, but to my disgust, the bun was just that friggin stale and toasted from hours under the heatlamp. I was so displeased with this Wendy's that I created an account just to bitch about it. Cruising down Ralston I see a Wendy's and start craving goodies from their dollar menu. Pull up and order 8 chicken sandwiches, extra extra mayo plus onions 8 jr bacon cheeseburgers, exta extra ketschup 8 double stacks, extra extra ketschup I pay about 25 bucks and they tell me to pull over which is typical. I have learned to always check my bag first because they always short shot me a burger. If I buy 24 sandwiches I want my 24 sandwiches. After a good 15 flippen minutes of waiting in a hot car a woman comes out with a bag. I tell her to wait. I asked for no napkins. I give her a handful of napkins they put in my bag. How hard is it to understand NO NAPKINS? we have crap at home to wipe our greasy hands on. Thank you very much. I don't need more trash at my house and trees cut down for no reason. Save them for people who are going to use them. So I count, missing a jr bacon cheeseburger. I make her go back to get it. She comes out the window of the drive thru knowing that I am pulled up and off to the side as told. I can't illegally just back up my car, lazy woman? I act like I don't see her and wait for her to come back out. So far I've been here a solid 20 minutes and not in the best of moods at this point. I settle on the fact that atleast I have this food to go binge on and numb out with. I drive off and drive home. Now I'm at home and getting happier to go chill out. Fooood... fast, salty, greasy with some fries in the oven, sodas and other side fillers and I'm all set. Open the chicken sandwich wrappers, 3 to be exact, and to my suprise? The double stacks had a moderate amount of ketschup. If you can't read then why are you working there? I am furious. I call to complain and get an odd answering machine. I am angry as all hell and telling myself to just let it go, just let it go. I add my own mayo and onion , ketschup and salt and decide my balance is to come here and bitch about it since the number is not going through properly. It's probably listed wrong because they know how many people have been unhappy with this location chain and they got sick of the complaints! Whoofing down some of those chicken sandwiches now and the patties are dry, not juicy. They are more like chicken flavored cardboard with crumb coating. And don't get me started on the hamburge patties - the ones at this location remindme of the flat fake food patties kids play with... They look and taste like golf ball sized beef patties that have been stepped on to flatten. I am so disappointed in this location, it's making me sick. This place sucks. Bad service. Bad food. Bad experience. I'll drive all the way to Redwood City next time I want Wendy's... never had any problems at that location. Their dandwiches are thicker and juicier. My wife and I have been coming to this Wendy's for several years now. We love the new look of the remodel, but something happened to the food in the last year. Our go to was the home style chicken meal, the chicken is usually so tender and crispy not to mention their fries were some of the best around. It had been a while since we eat here, and tonight was a reminder why. The chicken sandwich was not crispy at all, the bun was dark on the bottom as if it was burnt but not hard. The whole package of the sandwich was messy and just thrown together. The fries tasted like they were stale or just plain old, and soggy. Not like the ones I am used too. We were very disappointed. Not sure why i've been on a chicken sandwich tear lately. Buffalo wild wings, Adam's Grub Truck and now Wendy's. Yes Wendy's. Was pulling a late work night and before catching the train I was starving and staring a 30 min ride home. So I hopped in here with my 10 min window and got the Spicy Asiago Chicken. There's definitely something to be said for the combo of fried chicken and bacon. But that's where it should stop here. I dont like plain lettuce and their ranch-ish sauce was not great. I only come here because its location is convenient for me. I've been going to Wendy's all my life and never had a problem with the food. My only issue is the TERRIBLE customer service. My mother and I both have those key tags (it's a cute little frosty shaped key tag for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption - enables a free junior frosty per transaction for all of 2016!). When we ordered through the Drive-Thru, a young lady was taking our order but there was another man there (probably training her). He was speaking Spanish to her, accusing us that we did NOT have our key tags. I was offended because we understand Spanish. We didn't even have to wait for her to ask us if we did have them because we showed them to his face. He did NOT apologize, and just walked away from the window. I did not like how he treated my mother and I like we were trying to CHEAT the system. There have been times before where Wendy's employees never even asked to see our key tags (but we ALWAYS have had them ready). We have been loyal customers to Wendy's for YEARS. So I rush in here at like 10pm on a Wednesday nite to get some dinner for guests that are starving and on their way over from the airport. We went thru the drive thru of this location and ordered an entree meal with an extra large fries. On the websites app they were promoting a "free any size fries" with a full size entree purchase. We pulled up to the window and wanted to scan our coupon for the free fries, and they acted as if the never heard of this coupon and that it won't work, when it's being advertised on the WENDY 's app, not a third party. But whatever we were frustrated that the employees didn't know anything about there app or promotions the company they work for is advertising. I decide to try Wendy's since I had a coupon for a Big'n'Juicy meal. Yikes, it was more like the Big n Nasty, lol. The soda and fries were good but the burger was just gross. It wasn't the bread or sauce either, it was the meat. It tasted like they took the patties and basically cooked the meat in a microwave. The patties had zero taste/flavor, just tasted like beef boiled in water, pretty gross if you ask me. In my opinion, Burger King and McDonald's are way better from a fast food prospective. It has to do with the way they cook the patties and the size of the meat. I have been in the area for years and have never had any issues with the service and the food is as good as it gets... some choices to look at: The Chili is delicious... make sure you ask for the Hot Sauce packets to add to it ... many articles have been written about this being one of the "best fast food choices" with regards to getting a "good" meal... The salads are good as well, just use half of the dressing ... and you have another good meal ... I didn't give this restaurant five stars for its gourmet food or trendy decor: clearly you're not going to find that here at a Wendy's. But I gave it five stars for *everything* else. The service is friendly and very quick, the price is incredibly low: I paid $5 for dinner here! A bowl if chili, large fries and a free-refill drink. I love their chili, and I really enjoyed this dinner, however silly this may sound to some. The food is okay. The ambiance is typical for fast food. The service at this Wendy's was Terrible. The communications between the native hispanic staff, asian owner and I were impossible. I ordered 3 times and was overcharged. When I got the order it was shorted, I explained it again (4 more times) and the owner took the order and overcharged me again. The final order was wrong and the owner kept the receipt. I was unable to verify what was charged. Wow they've really cleaned this place up. I hadn't been in a few years, but holy frijoles I was super impressed with the cleanliness and modernization of this place. They even have a fancy modern fireplace to add some class to the place. I frequent this location on a weekly basis, and haven't had any problem before. But today may be a training day, or they have experienced a full turnover of their staff. Not only was the short line moving slowly, there was an obvious language barrier with employees and customers. When I noticed my number had not been called, I went to the counter and found they either lost my order, or it went to another customer. Never heard my number called in English or Spanish, so I assume they just lost the order. This place is a little awkward to get in and out of, but that's not even the real issue. The establishment looks clean and put together, but I'm left disappointed every time I visit. For some reason, everything I get from this location is lukewarm. The nuggets are a little rubbery and the fries are cold. I won't lie, I'm a big fan of the Frosty and Wendy's in general, but this location always makes me second guess my decision to grab a bite from them. I can't believe the stars for this Wendy's. I am extremely picky and rarely eat fast food; and if it's fast food, it's Wendy's. The manager/owner is always there--he makes sure the store is spotless-I see him cleaning himself when I've been there--they are always fast and you cannot beat their beef or fries for perfection--great texture and only salted on the outside (some frozen ones are more like a pickle). I have no idea why anyone goes to I&O--simply awful.Their salads are yummy; in the winter I might get the chili. Reading some reviews, it seems weird how one thing can ruin your life. Not everything is perfect in this world. I have been going to this Wendy's since I have worked in San Carlos close by, and probably before that since I was raised on the Peninsula. So over at least 4 years now, working wise. I have only had ONE thing forgotten while going through the drive thru. I went back and went inside and let them know and the manager was apologizing up and down and asked if I wanted another sandwich to make up for it. I said that was ok, and said thank you. He apologized again and I left. Otherwise, every other time I have been there they have been friendly, fast, on top of busy times and have gotten everything else of mine correct. The food has always been awesome and I have never had a grumpy person greet me at the window. They usually ask me how I am while multi-tasking. =) They were good before the renovation and they are great still. Good for french fry cravings - quick, simple, and the appropriate size (value size - 99 cents). Two orders of nuggets - 99 cents a piece! Total 3.22 - gladly and quickly took the AMEX card. Stopped in to get out of traffic for bit. The place was pretty busy inside and drive thru was packed. Service was slow at first until Juan took over the cash register and he just took off from there. The line moved fast orders were correct and I definitely would like to compliment Juan on doing a great job with his customers and he was extremely patient and courteous of a special needs customer he did a great job wish more people were as professional as Juan.
