Ordered a steak pita for my son. It came with the skewer still in the meat hidden in the pita (1 star kitchen). When I told the front, they responded like this is typical, "Oh it's just the skewer (1 star service)." After she saw me taking a picture of the skewer, she went to talk to the kitchen. Then she came up and apologized and told me the kitchen said they could remake it or give me a refund (4 stars response after the fact), but at this point my son ate half of it and I already have my mind made up to give a negative review, so I declined. Had been wanting to try this chain for a while-I had the chicken gyro salad and greek fries, which were fries topped with cheese and garlic and was so delicious. Awesome portion sizes and meat serving on the salad. Also enjoyed the froyo for dessert; also a massive portion, tart, creamy, and slightly sweet. I love nick the Greek... when they follow orders. I ordered a burger with lettuce, extra feta, and extra sauce. The sauce was nonexistent. The lettuce was wilted and looked depressed. And the feta? NONEXISTENT!!! Otherwise it was really good. Too bad that's all I ordered. read more

Nick the Greek is a staple in this household, especially since ownership changed. The food is much better quality food, which tastes fresher than before. Our pita used to be consistently stale and burnt to a crisp, now it is always fresh. Some faves: * The bowls and the wraps - solid. We prefer the beef/lamb protein * The kids meals are a steal - better to order this than an adult plate, which is the same size minus the salad. * Froyo - SO GOOD. Not a place for vegans/vegetarians. We were walking by and found this interesting place. The ambiance is cool and service is quick and good. Ample amount of seatings and good place for large family and friends gathering. However we tried the only vegetarian option falafel bowl which was $13. It wasn't worth it. The salad was cold, rice was balnd and falafels were undercooked, overall the combination did not work well with each other. I had such high hopes as the bowl looked so colorful. Would not recommend if you wanna try the vegetarian/vegan option here. read more

Skipped the overly priced food items at the Wine & Art Faire and stopped by Nick The Greek to grab a quick bite instead. This location has both indoor and outdoor dining with the huge garage door front. First timer getting the pork belly gyro and have got to say.. it's better than the other gyros I typically would get. Honestly didn't even know this was an option.. maybe it's new? Anywho, placed the order, service was fairly quick. This gyro was super stuffed that with each bite, everything was just falling out. Everything was super fresh and hot - that's the best! I didn't realize they didn't give any napkins with my Togo order so messy fingers! Delicious Greek food and quick service! I'm convinced that Nick the Greek never misses: I've been to this location twice and the Redwood City location multiple times, and the food is always fast, the employees are nice, and the service is always speedy. Nick the Greek is a restaurant group that really cares about quality. I ordered the lamb/beef gyro plate today, which I've never had before. It was ready within minutes, and came with a smorgasbord of food: lamb/beef, rice or fries (I chose rice), tatziki, tomatoes, onions, pita bread, and a side Greek salad (lettuce, olives, onions, tomatoes, and feta). I also got a side order of falafel to share my brother. The lamb/beef was warm and juicy and the rice was warm and fluffy. The tomatoes and onions added a sweet flavor that cut through the saltiness of the meat, and the tatziki was cooling and zesty. The pita bread acted as a nice palette cleanser in between bites of everything else on the plate. The Greek side salad was refreshing. The tomatoes were juicy, the lettuce was crisp and wet, and the feta and olives on top had great contrasting flavors (creamy and salty). I would get less onions next time, though, because their flavor was a bit overpowering. I barely even got to the falafel on account of how full I was from everything else, but the one piece I had was awesome: a crispy exterior and a warm, soft interior. When I'm missing the homeland I come here for some quick greek street food and it always hits the spot. During the height of the pandemic I felt like their standards went down (not just NTG. But the whole food industry was affected), but for the last 6 months everything has been back to par. They have redeemed themselves. Quality and quantity is good and consistent. Their portion sizes are good and always make 2 meals for me. The only negative thing I would say is the froyo machine didn't work the last two times I went and it's literally my favorite thing. I don't even get the topping, I literally will get 2 plain froyos and keep them in my freezer at home and eat them for a week lol. (I come multiple times a month and usually take my food to-go) The workers are also nice as well, and always have a smile. Even with my complicated orders. And they are fast and efficient.
