I won't say a lot but I Came here the other day for lunch while I was on the road. Ordered the Grilled chicken wrap and fries. Food came out pretty fast but I will say I think when they made the wrap, it was rushed. It wasn't rolled well and was very loose. I had to pretty much open it up and re roll it so nothing would fall out. But other then that it tasted good. Also the staff was very friendly. I would eat here again. read more

Not only are the employees horrid human beings with an I don't give a f@ck attitude towards every customer, their food is even worse. Wendy's is a chain restaurant so it seems almost impossible to completely screw up their menu items. But this location wins the award for "worst Wendy's franchise in SC". Let's get realistic here, cold fries are just crappy service, but completely re-engineering the food to reduce the amount sold for the same price is genius to the ignorant but theft to the intelligent. A gal was being trained to run the register and she had some troubles, but we were all new once and so I don't mind that. She did okay. Stopped in for a light snack/ lunch while travelling. It's attached to a gas station along with a Baskin-Robbins. Parking is easy in a big lot to the side, but you'll need to cross the lane for the drive through. Inside is typical Wendy's design. It seemed clean. There were two occupied tables, as well as a couple cars in the drive through. We walked to the counter in the rear and waited behind the one previous customer asking for a sauce. The counter person was walking around looking for it. For three minutes. Without acknowledging us. While three other employees walked past us five times. By now there were two other groups behind us, and one asked if we had ordered and were waiting on food. Eventually, the manager walked over and took our order. All the food was lukewarm at best. The fries had been sitting for some time and were tough with almost no salt. The burger buns were going stale. The remainder were as would be expected, except the temperature. We will explore the several other lunch options if we come through this exit again. read more

Co-located with a DQ in the Wilco/Hess travel plaza, this Wendy's is a semi-regular stop during my travels between Atlanta and the NC coast. Since I have Celiac disease, Wendy's is one of the only fast food restaurants where I can safely dine. Thankfully, I enjoy their chili. The problem with this location isn't the food - generally, it's quite good - but the service. Even during off peak hours, wait times just to place an order can exceed ten minutes. That's definitely not "fast food." I've noticed a decline in the service recently. I remember a time when my friend's order of fries was going to take an extra five minutes. We were dining in, and a helpful staffer offered to bring them directly to our table when they were done. She did, and it was a really nice touch not often seen these days. I was skeptical to try this Wendy's after seeing all of the bad reviews but we are on a road trip and it was getting late so we decided to stop and give it a try. It's Friday night so they were busy but the employees were nice and you could see they were working hard to keep up with their traffic. My grilled chicken caesar was on point with fresh lettuce, warm and juicy grilled chicken, and the perfect amount of cheese. My daughters nuggets and fries were fresh and hot as well. I don't like fast food. Hubs and I were on the road and most places were closed. I didn't have any sandwiches made, so we stopped by. I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries and they were both ok. My husband went in because we were in an RV and there was one other customer in there. We asked for 3 additional burgers and were only charged for and given one. My family stopped in here on the way to myrtle beach. The line got up to 11 people at one cash register. I know that for sure because the girl at the register kept yelling to her coworkers the amount of people in line into the ordering customers face. Another worker walked up to the other register, so we assumed we could order from her. When we got up there, she, Delores, did not even acknowledge us. It was absolutely appalling. Because she did not initially respond to our order, my mother kindly said "oh are you taking orders?" She said "can you repeat that? whatchu won't". Stopped here on my way through South Carolina. The person taking orders at the drive-through wasn't as friendly as I would hope but the lady at the window who gave me my food was nice enough. The fries and nuggets that I got were hot but my burger was really cold. I'm not sure if they made it for an order 30 minutes prior and wound up giving it to me or what but it wasn't even luke warm. Considering it took a while to get my food I was expecting everything to be hot. Very disappointed that the burger wasn't. Nobody reads reviews before stopping for gas and getting fast food. I can't imagine this Wendy's would survive otherwise. Complete disorganization, painfully slow, and lackadaisical. This Wendy's is a mixed bag for sure. The service inside is generally lacking ( drive thru is usually ok, but not stellar ) . I stop by usually around 5 or so and really wonder if maybe there are some people leaving and some coming that could be the cause of this. At any rate, it's not unusual to have your order take upwards of ten minutes or so before you receive it. Not special or crazy orders, just a number one with cheese large. The last time I went ( 2 days ago ) I ordered just a number 1 with cheese and mayo only. My partner ordered a baked potato with sour cream and chives. Both to go. Nothing else. Our order was taken by a young lady who did not seem to want to greet us ( really just formality to let you know she is ready to take your order ) but rather stared at us with a half dead look until we approached her to order ( she had just helped someone and I like to be queued that I am next so the person waiting on me can finish what she/ he needs to from the prior order ) I know taking my burger order is not what you likely expected to be doing with your life, but here we are. I am enthusiastically prepared to order a delicious Wendy's single and I expect at least some feigned excitement on the servers part that I'm wanting to do just that. She took our order and then set about doing what is needed to assemble the order. Only one other person appeared to be in front of us when we approached, but after seeing her assemble several orders and shouting out the contents of said orders to the dining room; it became apparent that she had taken quite a few prior to us entering the building. As each person appeared and took their order away ( this was maybe 5 or 6 orders over a 10 min period) my hopes of getting mine next waned. I finally heard my single w/ cheese and mayo (only ) belted out. I retrieved my order and hoped my partners was ready as well (they were on the same ticket ). Sadly it was not. It took some 10 minutes more before it was ready ( we were not told why it was not or how long it would take ) . We sat in the dining room sipping on our frozen Coke purchased from the attached gas station. I ate my burger there while waiting. As per every burger I order with mayo and cheese only, there was an over enthusiastic dollop of mayo on it. I have never understood this and in the past have ordered light mayo, only to receive more than even was on this overly mayo'd burger. I just hope for the best and scrape off the excess into a napkin. Anyhow, we finally received his potato and left. The food quality was good ( excess mayo forgiven ) but between the server who seems to really want to be somewhere else, the kitchen staff who hung over a half wall between the front and back line ( rolling their eyes when a new order appeared on the screen ) and the general lack of speedy service, I think it'll be a while before I stop at this location again. read more

Showed up and had to wait 8 minutes while 4 people finished their conversation before i could order. When she stepped up she asked "what do you want". Before i even finished my order she paused and had someone start making her friend free food who was standing behind me. After i got my food fixed, (since they messed up a chili and sandwhich order) i sat and ate in the lobby with no tray since "they were all dirty". Flies everywhere and the workers sat there cursing about how they had a bus and two schools to make sandwiches for loud enough for the whole lobby to hear. Horrible experience! Long line of people waiting to be waited on. At least 5 employees laughing & talking to each other. Apparently no manager on duty or if he/she was there they need to be replaced. Employee preparing food yelled at cashier & said "we need someone upfront. You got a line but take your time". Myself & eight customers left without ordering. It's a shame, this Wendy's is located in Hess Travel Mart & the restrooms & store were very clean! We were afraid to eat at this Wendy's after reading the terrible reviews. This is a very busy food exit off the interstate. All the fast food chains were packed! As a last resort we went to this Wendy's. It had an equally long line, but with only two registers to take orders it moved rather quickly. Our food order was fast & what we ordered. Food was better than McDonalds, But it's still just fast food, so not great. They did have some healthy options on the menu. The only thing not clean were the tables because they were so busy & no one was servicing the dining area keeping it clean & maintained. read more
