Overall, a solid Wendy's location! One of the few places in LA that seems to have free and available parking - you love to see it. When we went, it was busier than I expected, and the place appeared to be about half-full, with an active drive through going as well. I ordered through the app and got myself a pretty good deal. I went with the Doublestack biggie bag and a 10 piece nugget. The order did take a bit longer to arrive than expected...seemed like it was roughly 10 minutes or so. The burger was pretty tasty and I liked the fries as well. The nuggets seemed pretty small - in fact they do seem like they've shrunk a bit over the years...am I crazy in thinking that? This Wendy's might have seriously claimed the throne from the old Jack in the Box at Sunset and Cahuenga for the title of worst fast food restaurant in Los Angeles. Yes, I know this location is in Burbank but its aspirations for being crappy recognize no city borders. About once a year or so my wife develops a hankering for a Frosty that must be appeased. Last night, she called while I was on my way home and talked me into making a quick detour at Wendy's. Whatever beef Wendy has with the neighboring Panda Express needs to be squashed because the literal road block between two restaurants that share a parking lot makes it incredibly difficult to even enter the drive-thru line. Then, once you finally do, you're greeted by a worker standing 20 feet in front of the drive- thru menu board who hands you a laminated sheet of paper that's poorly laid out and only includes the names of the items. This worker claimed the speaker was broken but I swear this same thing happened the last time I was here a year ago. I feel like it's a sad thing like Val Kilmer claiming to for years to have "just gone to the dentist" to explain his affected speech instead of admitting he was fighting cancer. Had a quick dinner with my daughter while hanging out in Burbank not to crazy. Ordered on the self order screen wasnt ro much of a hassle but does seem to take longer than at the register. Both are meals were hot and fresh!! The spicy nuggets are always a good choice to get the taste buds going. I ordered a Cesar Salad and Baked Potato both were good but my only gripe was the Bacon were strips not chopped not sure why that was but kind of lazy if you ask me, but why dont they ever give you enough butter.... I placed a mobile order and as I parked I hit the button for the food to be made, by the time I walked in those front doors the order was ready, it was correct and the employee at the counter was very pleasant. The food was so yummy that I forgot to take a picture again, but we got the egg and cheese biscuit and breakfast potatos that are apart of their pick 2 for $3 deal and that is exceptional value. My husbands Cajun Chicken sandwich was okay, it was actually spicy however- it was overpowered with mustard flavor. Not sure if it was the seasoning or what but we were extremely disappointed. This is my second time here and the T-mobile Tuesday deals keep me coming back! I usually order ahead, through the app, and pick it up to go. But today I was starving and decided to dine in. The breakfast sausage, egg and Swiss croissant was absolutely delicious! I've never really tried their coffee, and today was my first time! I was definitely impressed! I'm a coffee enthusiast and stick to McDonald's coffee and Starbuck's pike here and there but Wendy's fresh brewed coffee is at the top of my list now! ;) I drink it black, only way to really know if it's good, in my opinion, and it was!!! We got some spicy nuggets with ghost pepper ranch and a strawberry frosty. The nuggets were fine (actually spicy!). I also decided to try the blueberry pomegranate lemonade. The lemonade is VERY sweet and also came with this bug. Unfortunately we didn't notice until we had already drank some of it (thought it was a piece of fruit). This location is in the busy Empire Center so it can be a traffic mess at times on the weekends as the drive thru line for Panda Express runs into their parking area. Wendy's seems to have slowly gone downhill. The service has deteriorated and is passable at best, though the wait times to get your food even when not busy is not acceptable. The food itself is rather bland and to get the best deal prices, you need to download their app and order versus ordering in person. This rather annoying fact, seems to be the new way for many companies, though is just another annoying way for companies to gather data on you and sell it. Unless you're really hungry and craving some lackluster fast food, I would skip this location.
