I normally don't like to do updates on reviews,, unless something goes wrong from good to bad, or vise a versa. Last night I had asked my son to grab some In N Out on his way home from work. He bought 2 Cheeseburgers, both with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and their Thousand Island sauce minus SALT. For him, he got himself 1 Double, Double protein style with extra patty ($1.61), He also donated his change .84 cent to the donation box that they have on the counter. Good deed on his side. I taught him well!! The food tasted much better than last time which was a little over a month ago. Service by Aden, who took his order was friendly and pleasant. He said the place was spotless clean and that's all I have to say about yesterdays visit. The rest is written in my previous review. Please read. If you can't tell i'm on a bit of a nostalgia kick of all of my favorite In-N-Out locations- last (for now), but certainly not least, is this Studio City location. This location is SOLID! A bit more chill than some of the other L.A. area locations in my opinion- so if you are in the area I definitely recommend. Poor customer service, poor management. It pains me to write this as In N Out is one of my favorite places but this review is about the specific Universal City/Studio City location. Given they are a chain, not all locations can be great I guess... I just left here a couple hours ago. I decided to try visiting them after movies at Universal as I've had In N Out cravings for the past week. Little behold this would be so far my only bad experience at an In N Out. It's close to 1 AM when they close but I'm rushing to make it on the dot. I enter the driveway right at time and there's a line for drive thru. I usually like to go inside to order so I decide to try to make it. The doors are open but unfortunately they won't take any more orders. However, I see that the drive thru is still taking orders. I told the staff that I would've been in line for drive thru as I entered the parking lot before. They took a few last orders at drive-thru from cars that entered after me. I asked the staff if there's any way I can order and get in line with my car given I was here. They checked with the general manager and told me no. Isn't that ridiculous that I was already in the parking lot and they took orders from cars that came in after me but won't let me order. I understand that I came too close to closing time but I was literally the last one that would've ordered. Now it's rare that I play the race card but I don't understand why they wouldn't let me order as the last customer especially given that I entered the lot before some of their other last customers. It's fishy how this ended. Regardless, shame on the GM for not letting literally the last customer order after all others after me did. read more

It was around lunch and it was getting a little loud, but still the place was tidy. The only thing not to like about this place is how long it takes you to get your food sometimes. I think they place a priority on the drive-through. Ordering inside with almost no.line. It took me 20 minutes to get my food. Other that - man of course it's always good. read more

Bruh I'm so tired of this in n out, they always forget something. They have forgotten my fries twice in the past but this time, I know it's not much, they forgot to give me yellow peppers right after I asked them. worst in n out experience i think ive ever had. first the program i ordered with kept reading back to me the wrong order but i assume we fixed that after she got it right 3 times later. Then when we went to get our order there was no drink? Then my wife asked for 9 spreads but only got 1? Then my flying dutchmen had no onions only patty's and cheese? My go to in & out. Service wise always excellent and the food comes outs relatively quickly, even on busy days. Parking is OK more likely than not I find a spot to eat in and the drive through line moves fast. I will say a couple times my girlfriend would order fries light and they'd come a little more done but the issue is fixed immedietly. I usually always come here and will continue to do so. read more

Really disappointed with the service at In-N-Out Burger near Universal Studios Hollywood. I tried placing a larger order (175 - 200items) a week in advance, and was told there's a limit of 50 but after hours on the phone arguing with the corporate back and forth and they kept calling the manager at this location he allowed only 75-item limit--which I understand. But no alternatives were offered at all. This was so disappointing since they had enough time to plan accordingly and accommodate our request! But this specific location management failed to provide any assistance and were not willing to help. It's not about the limit--it's about the lack of customer service. I hope corporate takes this as an opportunity to improve the service at this location . read more

I nearly turned into a Pumpkin while sitting inside of In-N-Out located at 3640 Cahuenga Blvd. ----Let me explain---- Earlier that evening, my wife and I went to the Kia Forum to see Alanis Morissette perform at her sold out Triple Moon Tour. It. Was. EPIC. On our way home from... INGLEWOOOOOD, What! What! We decided a little late night snack was just what we needed. Our kids were home safe, already in bed, so adding 30 or so more minutes to our ETA home was ok by Grandma! So we made the quick decision to pull off the freeway, made a quick left, followed by another quick left, straight into the In-N-Out burger parking lot. I mean, it's was a Saturday night a little after 11p.m., how busy could it possibly be?? For half a second... I forgot we were at In-N-Out lol The parking lot was slammed... The drive-thru was SLAMMED.... But we had already committed, there was no turning back! No, Literally, I couldn't get out of the parking lot haha. Again, I forgot for half of a second where we were... Then I remembered, It's In-N-Out, it's always worth the wait! So I circled the lot, then again and then just like that "ohhh, someone's pulling out!" (Tires Screech) And... we got a parking spot!! We made our way in, joined the other late night L.A. party people & I decided right. then. &. there. that I was getting a Double Double and NOBODY was gonna stop me! My wife was like, "Are you really gonna get a double-double this late? Your stomach is going to hate you later." Did you not just hear what I said? I said NOBODY! Haha, =) (Don't worry, I didn't speak to my wife with this tone, or attitude... she's scary, haha) So about 15 minutes later, our number was finally called and I went up to the counter to retrieve our order which included my sad, lonely looking single cheeseburger... Whomp. Whomp. Whomp. Sike!! I ordered my double-double baby! (See pic below if you don't believe me). I said NOBODY!!! Hahahahaha Alright, enough of me being silly! So per usual, In-N-Out was UhhMAZINGGGG!!! Cooked Fresh... Made to Order... Delicious... And the perfect late night snack!! So as we were sitting there, eating, minding our own business; I looked at my watch, saw it was 11:51 p.m. and was like, "crap it's almost Midnight, we gotta go!" I've seen Cinderella one, too many times with my kids, I certainly don't want to be out past Midnight and turn into a pumpkin! ;) So we finished up, made our way back to the car and started our trek home. The food at this location is just as good as you remember with delicious burgers, fries that need extra salt and affordable prices. Service here was good, but parking and the location can be a bit challenging and while it felt safe inside I was slightly worried about my car outside. Overall another yummy In-N-Out trip! read more

As per usual everything here was clean staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was rushed and hectic as you know in and out to be. No, I'm not saying out the world best burger I am saying In-N-Out double double is the world's best five dollar burger. I mean these days you can go get a whopper or a big Mac and spend more than this. So all those people saying oh it's not worth the it really is when you break down the burger to dollar value. The one thing I will warn is that this place does not have parking that is very helpful. I really loved the grilled onions and the sauce was good too. The burger itself was nothing special and the shake again nothing famous about it. It was a perfectly good fast food burger no more no less. That said I loved the energy of the place and the old school bright red and white was fun. This location was absolutely packed even at 11 at night both inside and outside. Prices were fantastic and they have parking and a drive through! It was just after lunch rush when the kids were finally ready to eat, but didn't find anything onsite that appealed to their hangryness & left to eat at In & Out, located just under 1-mi. SW of the park. The timing was linner (3:00 PM) so it wasn't as crowded, there was only 1 person ahead of us & 3 groups waiting to pick-up their order. Our cashier looked like a high schooler; he greeted us warmly & gave my kids a set of stickers to keep them occupied. =) Our order came quickly, & I liked the consistency of this burger joint: menu & its prices, food execution, & service. Everyone scarfed down their burger... that's hot, fresh, & juicy! The fries were crisp but slightly heavy handed on the salt, otherwise, it's great. The strawberry milkshake was thick, rich, & creamy, especially refreshing on a warm spring day. The dining room is smaller than my local In & Out in terms of seating, there's a lot of "open" space that could be used for seating. While the tables were free of debris, they could use a wipe down. The soda fountain area is well-stocked & clean, & the dispenser is a touchless system. This is my 1st time seeing this... very forward thinking to improve the sanitary quality of dining out. However, the unisex restrooms, while clean, had a funky smell. While I'm not likely to be a regular at the Universal City/Los Angeles location, if we're here at USH & need something satisfying, tasty, & budget-friendly, this In & Out is definitely a stop! The food was okay, not the consistent experience that I've seen at other in-and-out's. Probably the most unexpected part was how dirty it was inside the dining room. It didn't seem like they had cleaned the floor or the tables all day, so people were expected to eat off of dirty tables! This all may be due to understaffing issues and mismanagement of this location. Something I hope they can improve! read more

2/27/26 Patricia was very rude and unprofessional taking my order. Horrible attitude when going back and forth. Eye rolls, deep breaths and tapping on the screen aggressively. Even more when she forgot to add a drink and had to ring us up again. She was very dismissive and did not want to accept she made a mistake. She had asked me twice if i wanted it for here or to go and i said to go but she put for here so when i got my food i had to ask a different employee to please bag it for me. I come to this location all the time because they're super fast but this experience was very unwelcoming. i've never had a bad experience at in n out EVER but this was a first. I've come to this location for years and have always been treated with great customer service and food is always prepared tasty. I prefer coming here (instead of Lankershim) for the drive thru because they manage the flow of traffic a lot more efficiently. You're for real going In-N-Out lol. Parking can be tight but lots available. I feel bad for guests and especially employees because they constantly have to deal with the homeless population disrupting the peace. So y'all better be prepared for those type of people and watch over your table! Im giving them 3 stars today because I just am so dumbfounded by seeing their drink station during today's visit like chills are running through my skin. The In & Out Theme is in my head and I'm bobbing my head side to side just thinking of the best burger in SoCal. So I've now pulled in and walked to the counter for the order of the day. The # 1 is the Double Double with fries & drink and more order goes in with no hesitation. I eagerly await my red tray filled with a scrumptious Double Double. I waft the fumes of this delicacy to savor the moment and like always I'm in burger bliss. My experiences I love about In & Out is the Uber clean environment and nice clean cut workers. Employees were excellent. But something happened to their system (I'm guessing) because I gave them my gift card and my debit card and disappeared for at least 5-8min. As they finally came back my food was cold. Since it was left by the window. The employee was very nice and I'm again guessing remade them. Or warmed up. But I went around waited in the parking lot for 10 min. Which I didn't mind. But what bothered me was the rude "security" guard there. This was 5/2/2026 around 930 pm. He was so rude telling me to move I told him I was waiting for my food they are going to bring out to me. And he was like I don't care you need to move. I wasn't the only one he was talking rudely to. Since it's a small parking area people are waiting to catch a parking spot. There's a way to ask people to move and the way he did it was uncalled for.
