I loaded up the free any size french fry with purchase deal in the people in the front could not figure it out. They ended up having to just take the fries out of the bag because they couldn't figure out that my application said I could have any size free fry with purchase. first thing - I ordered saucy nugs honey bbq. Not SPICY. they gave me spicy, second - don't ask for a large ice water , A LARGE ice water , I was told no, they gave me a "water cup" and said it was a "large" water. and almost refused to, even with paying for a "large" fountain, was still told no, and the GM was extremely rude. Took 20 minutes to place an order. Entire time was getting mean looks from the staff standing at the counter wanting to order my lunch. I asked for no tomato. Too hard to do. Went to the drive-thru on President's Day, after 1 pm. So, you would think that the lunch rush would be over or non-existent. Sadly, with how slowly they expedited the cars, it might as well have been the middle of the work week. When we arrived, there were about six cars ahead of us. Considerable traffic, but nothing like Chick-fil-A. Nevertheless, it literally took a half hour to get through the line and receive our food. Two kids meals and a $5 biggie bag. Sadly, this slow service seems to be a trend with the Wendy's I've visited. At least the food was ok. Tasted good and didn't get us sick. So, that's worth a second star. Went here for dinner tonight and THIS PLACE IS FILTHY. Every single booth in the restaurant was dirty (we wiped our own table off) and Scott half of the chair tables too. And the floor is so dirty that the carpet is sticky and I could feel it stocking to my shoes. In the whole time we were here eating our dinner (about 20 minutes total), we never once saw an employee come out to clean the tables. And it's not like the! employees were super busy, as there were about four families dining in at any given time. On a positive note, the food was good. But I just don't think I can trust a place this dirty, and I doubt I'll come back to this location to eat again. read more

I placed an order on April 13 and received a confirmation and drove to the restaurant to pick it up. After waiting about 20 minutes I was rudely told that they had no order for me. Furthermore the didn't offer to make it right. However the were able to charge my credit card. This part of the operation seems to be working well. We stopped here on our way from the airport to southern Illinois. We wanted a quick stop since it was getting late and we have a 2 hour drive ahead of us. The location of this Wendy's is pretty easy to get to but it's a couple stoplights off the interstate. You will pass a few other fat food joints on the way. The girls inside were polite and quick but food was not good. I ordered the chicken tenders which were cold and chewy but Wendy's is known better for their beef. Everyone else got burgers and had mixed opinions of their quality. The fries were okay but not great. Overall the food was very greasy. Went through the drive-through to place my order I told the girl at least three times to give me grape jelly, which she didn't. tried to go inside to get some and the door was locked. So I had to go up to the drive-through window to get my grape jelly by this time I was a little upset. Granted I wasn't very pleasant by the time I got to the window. The person that I talk to I guess was the manager said she didn't like my attitude and I had to calm down before she would give me the jelly. like it was my fault that I didn't get what I ordered. We came in today to grab a quick late lunch and we were immediately greeted. As we began to order our host/cashier offered a couple of alternatives that gave us more food for our money and really made for a pleasant experience. It was only 9:30 on a Saturday. I advised I placed my order online and it was already paid. He repeated, he was not making food. They were understaffed and needed to start closing procedures. Fine. Drive-thru 4 for $4 (first Wendy's visit in years) A read a about Twitter war Wendy's had about the 4 for $4 meals vs others copying. I decided to try & compare. Unlike other places, Wendy's puts the $4 meal on the menu. -Choice of drink w/ Coke products -choice of sandwich (picked Bacon cheeseburger) -was told choice of spicy or regular nuggets -fries -Choice of dipping sauces (asked for hot & was offed creamy Sriracha) Fries- decent amount for price & hot with standard cut only seasoned lightly with salt... needing another dipping sauce Bacon cheeseburger-small/ kid's meal sized, but not terrible for fast food... actually had worse at full restaurants Spicy nuggets- kinda spicy rubbed chicken nuggets so more flavorful than most but still chickens nuggets The creamy Sriracha made everything better. Seeing a smiling worker in the drive-thru was a bonus to this $4 snack. Overall, Wendy's deserves having a smart-ass running the media circus. read more

This is the Wendy's I normally visit. Depending on how long the drive thru line is; I sometimes go in and order. I've only seat down and ate once. The location is convenient, plenty of seats and it's basically clean. The staff is a hit or miss. They either super slow or super slow. I always check my bag before leaving... While at least I try too. The only thing I'm sure I'm getting is my frosty unless I look in my bag. I've driven away several times with missing items or wrong items. Today was a little different. I went in to order my usually 4 by 4 for my son, 4 piece nugget and fry for me. Today I ended up getting the new Bacon Mozzerella burger. The guy at the counter was great even though he called the manager to void a change and it took her forever to come over. He was apologetic about the wait for her. I didn't check my bag, got home and realized I have all I ordered and some. How I got an extra nugget and fry... Not sure! Win for me! Well, this doesn't makeup everything they've forgotten to put in my bag in the past. Oh well.... It's a win! At the end of the day.... I will go back... I like their frosty! read more

This Wendy's is the worst in the area. They will always mess up my order, forgetting a salad dressing, topping, or dipping sauce. The salads are always full of the bits of lettuce that should be thrown out, the hard white bits from the center of the head. The last few times I have ordered fries they have been soggy or barley warm. The staff is not very friendly or customer service oriented. I will be driving the extra two miles to the Wendy's across from Applebee's where I always get great service and the proper order! read more

Not sure why Wendy's insists on carpet in their dining rooms...so much more difficult to keep clean, and this location is no different. I have come to expect a certain level of quality at Wendy's as well. I know it's cheap fast food, but this one just seems a little step behind their other chain partners. In this case, it was just skimping on the chicken and lettuce on the grilled go-wrap. When I have to unwrap the whole thing to determine whether there's anything inside, they're starting to pay too much attention to saving money on ingredients and too little attention to the fact that their customers come here because they're hungry and want something to eat. A tortilla with a sliver of meat, some sauce and a single piece of lettuce doesn't quite meet even Wendy's standard. It won't keep me from coming back, but would like to see some improvement. read more

Like cold food and a mess...this is probably the place for you... I went into this Wendy's thinking it would be as good as some of the other ones in the area with it opening over the past year. I stand corrected. This was the most disgusting looking Wendy's I have ever been to. The counter where the beverage station is was filthy with no one going into the dining room area to clean it. Half of the soda selections were not stocked in the new multi-flavor soda fountain. Nearly all the cup lids were out. When I got my food, it was cold and the fries were hard from being out too long or over heated under a heat lamp. My single burger tasted gross...that's the only way I could put it. Customer service was non-existant. The employee at the counter did not acknowledge me by saying "Hi" or "Can I take your order?" I stood there looking at him seeing if he was going to be the one taking my order and he stared blindly out to the dining room...maybe he didn't see me standing 5 feet in front of him in the line after the last guy ordered. This is unsatisfactory for a brand new franchise and for a Wendy's. They don't even follow what all the other Wendy's are doing int he area by putting your paper wrapped burger in the box specifically made for it. My cold and nasty burger was just put in a paper ball...the wrapping was not even folded correctly. This has been the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been to in my lifetime. I would recommend finding another Wendy's or nearby restaurant if you are going to eat in this area (Fairview Heights/near St Clair Square). read more

This was a horrible experience. The place smells like a foot, I'm thinking the mop water is long overdue for a change! the tables are dirty and discusting and the employees are literally the rudest people I've ever met. The lady taking our order acted like a robot. You can really tell she hates her job and possibly her life. After I got my order I realized I had got the wrong sandwich I took it back to the counter and the manager saw me twice standing there. After waiting five minutes she finally walked over and said "what". I told her I got the wrong sandwich and she literally grabbed the burger out of my hand and threw it in the trash right in front of me then walked over to her employees saying she needs the right sandwich. I stopped in about a month ago. I had a sore throat and I thought "I'll get me some of their great chili to sooth it". WRONG It was HORRIBLE. I also ordered me a single cheeseburger. It was cold and the toppings were awful. Enough mustard for 3 burgers. Okay! Yesterday I thought some redemption was in order. My wife and I stopped in to eat inside about 6:15 pm and when we came through the door the girl on the counter walked away. They were not busy and we were the only ones at the counter. There were about 6 employees at the time and one of them a shift manager (Young short blonde headed girl) They were more interested in laughing about one of them did the night before. I thought one of them was coming to take our order but she walked around the corner and began putting a bag full of ketchup in a metal container. 2 of them looked over at us but continued to talk instead. The manager I guess doesnt care about customers. She must make her money gossiping with her underlings. I'll NEVER go back! We left after about a 3 minute wait and went down the road to McDonalds where the girl at the counter welcomed us as we walked through the door. I called the manager at Wendys when I was done eating.
