Worst Wendy's I've ever been to. Never seen a slower drive through in my life. Absolutely terrible

The problem with a mobile order is that you have no idea how long it's really going to take. This place was 15 minutes for food at 11:50 and I watched a queue grow of other mobile orders plus the inside dining and then the drive thru was out to the street. I don't know that I would have gotten my food if I hadn't spoken up. My burger was sitting there the whole time so of course, it was cold. You're supposed to call out names, Wendy's. Do you really want all of us pick up people bothering the one guy working the register? I get that there's a labor shortage and I'm sorry about that. Wow, this was bad. Food was badly made, got a grilled chicken wrap and there were maybe five bite sized pieces. Was also told that the saucy nuggets i've gotten previously at another location weren't being sold yet. read more

They messed up my order. In addition to that, their chicken sandwiches are scorching hot. The oil chicken juice squirted out and burned my tongue and also splashed onto my chest. I have blisters from the burn. I understand they are coming out of a deep fryer but also I don't understand why they are being cooked at such high temperatures- I have to believe that something is wrong here. read more

Went to this Wendys on 6/13/20 and noticed that several employees were not wearing or wearing masks improperly in violation of Health Department and state laws. Asked for manager who stated that employee masks were recommended but not required. She was very rudey, cursed at me (A*hole) and accused of having been there previously and making complaints. NOT TRUE... don't live in this town and was traveling. Disgusting attitude, un-healthy environment and poorly managed. read more

This Wendy's is absolutely horrible waited in drive thru for 25 minutes had to call them and complain that the drive up was backed up to the road. When you received our order it was wrong no way were we going to go back thru that line. Also they scolded us for not telling them ahead of time we had a coupon. We usually stop at Subway when we're traveling, but we were getting a bit tired of that, so we decided to stop at Wendy's in Gaylord. Big mistake. Usually I like Wendy's, because they have decent salads. But this place (on the main drag, just east of the entrance to I-75) is very, very disorganized. The slowest fast food experience I've had in years. Many years. We had ordered a root beer without ice. You would get the impression that we had made an unusual request. As I stood there for several minutes waiting for our order to be completed, there was an awful lot of discussion about the root beer without ice. They almost mixed it up with a different size root beer from another order, but that had ice, so that was their big tip-off. There was a lot of placing items on trays, checking the printed receipts, then moving the same item to another tray. A lot of discussion between the two ladies working the cash register area. Did we just happen to come here on Fresh Recruit Day? They took an awfully long time to compete our order, but they did get it right. I was wondering if my chili was going to get cold while I stood there waiting, but it was still hot enough to warm my bones on a frigid day. The bathroom was grungy. Everything functioned. This Wendy's is buttcheeks. Waited 20 minutes to order and then waited another 15 minutes for my 3-item order (one of which was a bottled water) that they managed to screw up. My first restaurant review... Slow service! We travel through quite often and usually stop at Wendy's. We've been enough times to know it's going to be slow and a bit of a wait. Always has been, even before Covid. Workers are friendly enough but the food has always been good. They should up their cleaning abilities. Usually pretty clean looking but today the floors were sticky (I would guess they're using a dirty mop) and there was a trail of what looked like ketchup water through the entire dining room. I assume a garbage bag was leaking. No one came out to clean it while we were there. Also, I watched about 5 people try the ketchup dispensers with no luck. Today, there was an older lady behind us who had gone through the drive thru and wasn't given back her debit card so she came in to get it. She was still waiting when we left. I don't know if they were waiting for the lunch rush to be completely over but come on! Do better! Take a minute to check her ID or whatever and give her her card. I'm sure her food was cold by the time she got back to her vehicle. read more

Very slow service and the employees seem to be bored out of their mind. The employees don't smile, arent very friendly, and slow when it comes to ordering at the register. I only go there for the Frosties but I honestly don't think its worth it much anymore. I think a different location Wendy's would be more promising. read more

They make the good Chicken Sandwiches and Hot & juicy Cheeseburgers, even the cool Frosty. I bought it as my early Dinner after my work shift at Rally's, it gets busy in the evening but not in the mid-Afternoon. So I give that 4 Stars. read more

I have never been treated so rudely anywhere. Me and my daughter had a wonderful day out and this woman had us so upset by the end of the order. She talked to us like trash, when ordering she was telling us how to order, and to hurry up even though we were the only one there. When we asked for her name she would not give it. So after dealing with this woman at the order station we pulled forward and got to deal with her again lucky us. My daughter I'm holding back from giving this woman a good lecture on respect and human kindness. She opens the window and basically throws the first lemonade out the window and I guess I was not quick enough because the second one she yells here! And it's not kind it was rude and ignorant, uncalled for. By now my daughter is asking her what her problem is and she opens the window and I'm glad I was quick because I don't know if she would of threw the food threw the window. So that's how a good mother daughter day ended. I payed 25 $ to be treated poorly. I can't tell u people her name cause she would not give it so I will give u a heads up incase u ever go there. She is older woman probably in her late 40s 50s long gray blond hair, I don't know how to say without seeming bitter but a very big woman. I have heard story's about Wendy's in gaylord treating people awful and never really eat fast food but I believe every bad thing I've heard about that place now.. so be cautious people and stay safe. Literally the workers yell at customers. They are not organized at all. They aren't even trained to put in discounts. And when they need the finger print that don't even come for like 5 minutes because the outside is more important. And this is what we call fast food now a day. What a shame. I'm really done with Wendy's literally waited for a good 10 minutes! And I didn't even get my family/friend discount because the lady just shrugged and said "idk" but gave it to the next customer. Drive by this place. I typically like Wendy's but this is a bad one. The staff here hasn't figured out that you can get baked potatoes instead of fries for your combo meal so I ended up with fries I didn't want and paying for two baked potatoes. I asked for no cheese on my 1/4 lb burger and I guess that means just a patty and a bun cause I ended up with just that. The grilled chicken breast sandwich had a chicken breast that must have been on the heater all day and the fries were salty beyond my standards and I love salt. Bathrooms are pretty gross. Overall nothing good about this place. Find another fast food place to get fat. read more

Came in and this is a great Wendy's. Clean and organized. Staff seemed to enjoy their job, they were very nice. Food was outstanding and hot. Salads are always fresh here, the manager is always upfront helping to get orders out faster, and she is always nice. I enjoy coming here often. read more

I wish I could review their food, but instead I am writing a review in the McDonald's drive-through down the street. The reason... Because I sat in the drive-through for five minutes at 9:22 pm and no one came on the intercom to take my order. I drive up to the drive through window and find out that they are open until 930. All of the lights are on and someone is in the restaurant sweeping the floor, but clearly they are not taking orders until 930. read more

I took a group of special needs persons into this Wendy's and the manager went out of her way to be accommodating. She offered anyone who brought their own lunch free fries. Not everyone in our group can afford to eat out. This act by her helped them to feel regular like everyone else. I have been there two times and she has treated them the same way each time. The first time there I didn't have to ask her for any kind of a discount. She took it upon herself to offer it to them. I will take our group there every time we are in Gaylord. One of the worst Wendy's in Gaylord Michigan. Got in line to order at 7:28pm got to order and waited again we finally got cold fries and burnt bacon crumbs and not kidding burnt crumbs on the bacon burger at 8:18pm my burger was Luke warm and hard . We asked the rude female why the long wait she barked at us and said because we only have 3 people here working . As we watched our burgers sitting under the heat lamp my husband again asked if that was our burgers sitting there she said not sure and continued to fill her sauces and just plain ignored us . It wasn't till another woman came to the window to give us our order and yes they were our burgers sitting there for over 10 mins we got our sorry order . Not even a sorry for the wait . We will never come back to this crap hole again. Go else where for better food and service . This place should be shut down. Went there and ordered a grilled chicken had to repeat my order 3 times no lettuce , no honey mustard sauce allergic to honey . And got lettuce and honey mustard sauce. Why pay almost 18.00 for food we couldn't eat . By the time we seen the mistake they were closed. Will never go there again . And don't ask for ice in your drink because you won't get it that's to much for her to do. read more
