I got my order to go but the gentleman who took my order was kind enough to offer me a cup for some water. The spot was happening. Music, good vibes, the decor was fun. I couldn't decide which meal I was trying so I'm definitely going to make another trip sometime soon. I got the tenders with mac but added a side of greens. Boy oh boy the greens were the star and wow my tastebuds were incredibly satisfied. I've had greens but these were like some ultimate flavors and holy greens i definitely could just order some of these every now and again by themselves. Mac was great. Definitely complimented the greens. The tenders though omg. The flavor was insane. I gotta try them with the waffles next time for sure. Overall the wait wasn't long and my food was still hot. I ended up sharing with my son and he was even raving about it. Great service, fun and lit atmosphere, last but not least food was fire. Side note: people complain about price but I'll be honest, when the food is good and staff are amazing, the price to me doesn't matter. You get what you pay for and let's be real, this isn't chic fil a, this is hot boys and the chicken is definitely that.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.

I was in the mood for something different on this Memorial Day weekend. I decided to head South a…read morebit and journey my way through Beech Grove to see what I could find open on this holiday weekend. I'd long been curious about 5th Ave Grill and Bar, but for some reason I'd never stopped in. Today, I did. 5th Ave Grill and Bar is located right on the Main Street strip in Beech Grove. It's, you guessed it, a grill and bar. It's also, you guessed it, on 5th and Main Street. Beech Grove is pretty hit-and-miss when it comes to accessible businesses on Main Street. Fortunately, 5th Ave is pretty solid with a slightly slanted entryway and even a few tables for outdoor dining. Most nights of the week, they host either events or live music. On this day, they had a solid but not necessarily large crowd. As it's race day here in Indy, the Indy 500 was on most (but not all) channels. I was served fairly quickly. It always feels weird to order an iced tea in a bar, but I'm always grateful when they have it. I took some time to browse the menu. It's mostly your standard bar fare with several burgers, pizza, some handhelds, and a few other items. It's worth noting that handhelds don't come with a side - that's extra (chips or fries for $3 with the ability to upgrade the fries to a specialty for another $3). I opted for the breaded tenderloin sandwich. I added fries to it - I was pleased to see that they were steak fries. The tenderloin is definitely hand-breaded. It's a healthy size. It's what I'd call a good but not quite great sandwich. I didn't quite finish it, though that's partly because my always desired iced tea refill took a bit to actually get. The atmosphere? It's a bar. It's loud, though not unbearably so. People were being social (as is true for most bars). Accessibility was solid. I moved a chair away from a table, and it looked like most aisles were passable. I did not check out restrooms. Overall, I'd call this a very solid 4-star experience all the way. The service was solid. The food was good. The atmosphere was friendly. I enjoyed my time here and would easily return.

The tangy sauce with the complex chicken flavor, and don't forget the flavorful fries. Just peak. Not to mention the milkshakes too. Dave, you deserve the Medal of Honor. Don't even get me STARTED on those mozzarella sticks. Whoever is coming up with these ideas, come up with MORE. The very first cheese pull was, as the Spanish say, was magnifica. The atmosphere was great too. The vibrant colors matches with cool designs. Peak. The service was also exceptional. The nice employees greeting me every time they saw me dig in. Daves is so good I have written a poem to further prove its excellence: At Dave's the chicken's hot and crisp, The kind you really can't resist. One bite in and you'll agree, It's where a hungry soul should be. The mozzarella sticks arrive, And suddenly the table's alive. Golden, cheesy, long and thick, You can't stop at just one stick. Then comes the shake, so cold and sweet, The perfect end to any treat. Chocolate, vanilla, cookies, There's probably one with your name on it, too. So if you're hungry, take my tip, Head to Dave's and make the trip. For chicken, shakes, and cheesy bliss, It's hard to find a place like this. Final thing, please TEAR DOWN the canes in castleton and replace it with a Dave's. Fishers needs this peak. If you don't like Dave's you: A. Are mentally ill B. Have never tried it C. Don't know good food D. Are liked by absolutely NO ONE. E. All of the above. large fry, bedsty, five guys, go to Dave's in 5

I was in Indianapolis for business so I decided to stop by Dave's Hot Chicken…read more Let me start with the good, I ordered chicken tender, and one order of Not Chicken AKA cauliflower wings. They were flavored spectacularly, I got the mild. I also ordered a strawberry fruity Pebbles shake which I later found out after I left the restaurant that she gave me a vanilla when I asked for a strawberry. Now the bad. Even before it got busy after I placed my order, the service was pretty horrible. There was no one checking to see if orders had come up and they just sat there. When I received my order, of course after asking for it not knowing how long it had been sitting there, the person who took my order forgot that I ordered a milkshake when she was the one who took my order. Addto all that she gave me the wrong flavor milkshake. However, the chicken tender and cauliflower wings were spectacular. If it was just for the food I would have given this five stars. Flavored spectacularly, and the miles was very nice on my tongue, but the service? The service was horrible.

We stopped by before heading to a Fever game and grabbed a quick meal. I ordered the chicken bites with ranch, and they were tasty. I also tried the spicy fries and absolutely loved them. They seemed to be seasoned with a Cajun style seasoning that gave them a nice kick. My husband ordered a beef hot dog and regular fries. He enjoyed the spicy fries I shared with him but still happily ate his regular fries as well. One thing I appreciate is that they offer free water, which is a nice way to save a little money on drinks. Since it was a gloomy, chilly day, we decided to dine inside. There was a good amount of seating available, including both booths and tables. When dining in, you're given a number, and the staff brings your food directly to your table. Service was good, and our food came out quickly. I used one of the weekly reward codes and received a free cheeseburger after spending $10, making the visit an even better value. Parking at this location is convenient. There's a shared public lot off New York Street behind Java House that offers free parking for up to two hours. After that, or if the lot is full, metered street parking is also available.

Today I went back and tried grilled cheese. It was... good! Basic, but good. Perk is you can add certain ingredients (and sauces!) free of charge. That's hard to find these days. I did plain fries (fine; not great), onion rings w/ shake sauce (yummy), grilled cheese w/ tomato added (good. But sooooo slim!).
