I placed a drive-thru pickup order through the Wendy's mobile app for the Parvin & 435 location in Kansas City, MO. I paid $43.01 via Cash App. The Wendy's app confirmed payment, and my Cash App shows the payment completed. When I arrived about 8 minutes later, the employee told me my order was unpaid. I showed proof in both the Wendy's app and Cash App. The manager confirmed he would get my food anyway. After leaving, I noticed my fries were missing and returned to the window. The same employee threw the fries at me, told me three times to "enjoy your $43 worth of free food," and slammed the window. I used to come to this place weekly out of convenience, and the app has good deals. One time soured me for good. Put in an order that was pickup instead of drive thru. Oops. My bad. When I came to the drive thru they couldn't be bothered to reach over the counter to grab my order from the shelf and hand it to me. I had to drive around, park, bring in my 3 year old with me to get my bag because they couldn't reach a foot over the counter, walk 2 feet to the window to hand it to me. I have never encountered such a lazy useless group of individuals in my life. This location deserves to close for good. You hire trash, your service is trash. I stopped here on my way home from work for what I thought would be an easy dinner for my son and I... I ordered two biggie bags and while eating my burger I noticed a fly in my food and instantly stopped eating and threw away the burger. After my son finished eating I decided I was unsatisfied and wanted to try and get my burger made again so I would not have to buy or cook something else. I returned to Wendy's and told them what happened. I was told you pull up to the window and I began explaining to the employee at the window when another employee says under his breath "where the food w the fly" and I asked him to say it again to me and not to the ground. I handed them the food I had left (rest of the meal) and he looked through the entire thing and told me there was no fly but they will remake anyway. The only reason I am giving this place TWO stars is because of the manager. My fiancé and I entered this restaurant to grab a quick bite before heading to worlds of fun. As we approached the front counter we were ignored by a female who was stocking the sauces, my fiancé cleared his throat to get her attention she looked up and quietly said just a moment . I said okay, and we waited . A few minutes later she went to the register and just stared at us. My fiancé asked if they had al a carte burgers she continued to stare at us and not respond. Went there for breakfast in the drive thru and was told the system needed 10 to reboot. Ok no problem. This was told after I sat there waiting for someone to say ANYTHING over the intercom for 5. After waiting the chick got on the intercom and again stated the system went down. When I told her she had already said that and I was waiting patiently she just said no and was super rude and short. This place has the nicest employees of any fast food place I've ever been to. I eat here about twice a month and have since they opened. They have excellent customer service and go above and beyond to get everything right the first time. Once, ever have I had a mistake happen with my order and they fixed it promptly and accurately. This is the worst Wendy's I have ever been to in my life. The staff is slower than molasses in January and so incompetent. They might be able to operate faster if they didn't constantly have to fix people's orders. The cashier i had tonight was rolling her eyes at her supervisor and yawning so incredibly loudly while taking my order. From start to finish for a to go order we were in there for fifteen minutes. That is not what I consider to be fast food. The supervisor actually told his employees not to take any more orders until they got caught up. Yet no one seemed to be in any hurry to catch up. The timer on the drive through clock was seven minutes and counting and the guy running the drive thru was hacking up a lung. If it wasn't the only place to go in a few mile radius I would never step foot in there. If you have any other option I would recommend you steer clear of this Wendy's. It took the inside register person about 12 minutes to stop talking to her friend at the counter, and acknowledge me. I had a simple order 2 chicken apple pecan salads. It took them 25 minutes to walk to the cooler, to get the salad, then another 10 min. to put the chicken it. The cars in the drive through didn't move. The inside person was rude at best, kept rolling her eyes, and stomping at the fact that someone came up and ask for ketchup. I'm sorry, but if you choose to work at a fast food place, please expect to "work" at the fast food place. One of my co-workers was one of the cars in the drive through. He said it took him 20 minutes to get to the speaker, another 9 for them to answer him at the speaker, then another 15 to hand out his order, that was wrong when he got back to work. Our family has an annual tradition to go to this Wendy's after worlds of fun. It is clean. The food is good. I mean .... it is Wendy's and tastes like Wendy's. It is way better than any of the crap they serve at worlds of fun. We have always had good, fast service, and it seems clean to us. There was only one dead fly on the window sill. This is my closest Wendy's. have never had a problem here with food or service except when Worlds of Fun is slammed. Clean up then can be a bit slow and they sometimes ran out of baked potatoes. Counter staff normally cuts me fresh lemon for my salad. Lots of motels nearby so they do have walk-in customers but summer season can sometimes get frantic. read more
