a sign on the wall of a fast food restaurant

I don't think it's ever a great sign when you end up at a Wendy's at night, is it? After a few drinks I craved something simple, a little greasy so Wendy's it was. The inside was tiny so I was more than happy to take it to go. When you're at a touristy type of location, you know you're going to be waiting around with all sorts of characters: drunks, beggars, and everyone in between. Despite the dingy look, the service was actually pretty great. i was waited on immediately, met by a nice cashier and given my food within a few minutes. If you've been to Wendy's then you know what a Jr. bacon cheeseburger tastes like and you know that their fries, when warm, are delicious. If you're in the mood for Wendy's you might as well stop. I survived my visit and so will you.

Don't think you're saving money at the keys by having "Wendy's" the prices have a surge. There's no 4 for $4 at Key West is 4 for $6. Just by that you see the $2 hike in prices and it's not that your food is different it's the same food as if you got it inland. Furthermore, I know they deal with a lot of drunks but their costumer service is none existing. You get more out of your money by going to a local spot. Don't try to "save money" by eating at Wendy's!!! If you're already in yelp, do a little more research and you will find nice cheap spots around key west!!

OMG! I can't believe I am doing another bad review. However, this place was so bad I just couldn't let it go. After we had an early dinner, we got hungry again in the late evenings. Since we were too tired to go out of our hotel again, and this Wendy's is just around the corner, we decided to get a few burgers and bring them to the hotel. We eat at Wendy's all the time. The particular Wendy's we go to near our house serves very good burgers and fries. We figured Wendy's should taste the same anywhere just like McDonalds and this place should shouldn't be any different. But we were wrong. First impression when I walked in the door: something is off. There were only two people in the line but I see at least half of dozen workers behind the counter, and from the looks on the customers faces, they have been waiting for a while. I placed the order with the cashier, then saw the same person turned around and started preparing our burgers in the back...without washing his hands or wearing any gloves. I thought since no actual money changed hands because I paid by credit card, his hands were probably clean..... Then I saw the workers worked on our burgers carelessly. They were doing it like they didn't care what goes into a burger, taking there time chit chatting, and basically just dumped our burgers into the paper bag. Long short...these burgers were the worst tasting Wendy's burgers I've ever had...and I had many of them. And also...both my wife and I got really sick later that night. Not going into the details, we pretty much took half a dozen to the bathroom that night. I'd strongly not recommend anyone to eat at this place. Even if you just wanted a quick bite, you'll be better off buying a frozen dinner from CVS than eating at this place!!!

I really enjoyed this Wendy's location as it came through with some really good food in a hurry for a good value. I like that this location has a different feel and vibe than a typical Wendy's as it is more island and fun. The staff here is awesome and worked hard. Great overall experience.

At night, we would roam around Duval street and each evening no matter what, we would end up at Wendy's.

Can't come to Key West without stopping in to get some of the best tacos on the island at Garbo's…read more It's always just been a food truck but they now have a small patio seating area next to Hanks Hair of the Dog bar. We got one order of the Cayo fish tacos to share. Each order comes with two tacos. We chose a bench in the shade on the patio where some chickens were wandering around picking up bits of food dropped by the patrons. It was fun to watch them run in a group when one spotted something had fallen. Our tacos were ready quickly and after the first bite we immediately regretted not getting a table because they are a bit messy with all the delicious toppings. Oh well! I persevered and used a napkin to soak up the juice and the chickens took care of of the rest. I will never miss an opportunity to visit Garbo's when in Key West.

While it was enjoyable, nothing really stood out as extraordinary or memorable. The menu had a good variety, and the service was friendly enough, making it a comfortable place to stop for a casual meal. The atmosphere was straightforward and unpretentious, which made it easy to enjoy a quick bite without any fuss. Portions were reasonable, and prices were fair for the quality of food. Overall, it is a dependable spot for a casual meal when you are nearby, even if it does not leave a lasting impression. It is worth visiting if you are in the area and looking for something simple and satisfying.

We came across Blackfin Bistro on our last night in Key West. If we had discovered it earlier in…read morethe trip, it likely would have earned a repeat visit. Food Blackfin is a beer and wine restaurant, so no cocktails. I'm not a big drinker, but I do enjoy when a place offers creative house cocktails. Since I'm not much of a wine or beer person either, I was initially a bit disappointed. That changed quickly when I saw they served Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. That alone felt like a small vacation in a glass. The menu offers plenty of choices to satisfy almost any palate. We weren't especially hungry, so we opted for a lighter approach: * Grilled Octopus * Tempura Green Beans * Spinach and Goat Cheese Salad Everything we ordered was very good. The salad was fresh and thoughtfully balanced, with bacon, goat cheese, apple, and honey bringing layers of flavor. It was served with a crusty baguette. We don't normally eat bread, but this was a welcome addition. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and served hot. Always a good sign. The tempura items were nicely executed, lightly battered and not greasy. The green beans were crisp with delicate seasoning, served alongside a balsamic glaze dipping sauce that complemented without overpowering. Service Service was attentive throughout the evening. We never felt forgotten, and we never felt rushed. The pacing was natural and relaxed. Thank you, Gabor. Atmosphere The indoor dining area feels quiet and intimate. The outdoor patio in the back leans more casual. Surrounded by a tall fence and shaded by trees that form natural canopies, it offers a sense of privacy that can be hard to find in many of the more open-air restaurants along Duval Street. Even though this was a lighter, abbreviated meal for us, my sense is that Blackfin would be an excellent choice for a full dinner. We would definitely plan to return on our next visit to Key West.
