Happy hour food and drinks- margherita pizza, calamari, sliders, and more

I went for happy hour and loved everything! I was craving italian food, and this totally satisfied that craving. The outdoor seating was perfect, and the staff were attentive. I will definitely go back.

The reasons for 3 stars after my better review is for the food. The service is still unfriendly and chaotic. Unfortunately the food is following suit. I loved the porcini mushroom fettuccine when it tasted more like Rome, now more like macaroni and cheese We ordered the regular surf and turf and got the mini, no points off for that. However look at the picture of it, unappealing. Steak was cooked to temperature which gets a point. All in all I'll probably not make the trip next time

The restaurant was bustling two nights before New Year's Eve in Key West. We ordered a grilled chicken breast served with a fresh salad, and it was delicious. My husband ordered gnocchi Bolognese, which was satisfactory, though we needed to adjust the seasoning at the end for better flavor. I asked if they could prepare a classic Negroni cocktail, and they delivered it, though it was just okay and not disappointing. A small suggestion would be to use the correct amount of ingredients and include a slice of orange peel instead of a larger chunk of orange. The service was good throughout our meal. The ambience was great!

Almost gone pizza and fennel salad.

Came for the pizza and weren't disappointed; thin crust with good chew and lovely teeny, tiny chopped tomato base to the mozzarella topped pizza. I read that they make their own mozzarella! The wood burning stove seemed to take less than a minute to cook the pizza. Also had a chopped fennel salad with oranges, pistachios, and radishes. The dressing could have used a bit more acid and definitely needs the fennel to be chopped up more. Still, not disappointing. The wait staff was lovely and considerate. The music was dreadful, but it was part of a special event going on that week in Key West. The young woman who waited on us agreed - - it was giving her a headache, but she couldn't complain because the manager said it suited the theme for the events going on. She was quite cute about it all. There is outside seating that I would've preferred, but it smelled kind of fishy. Literally, like bad fish. When we left after eating, the smell wasn't there. I don't know what that was about. I would definitely return for their pizza.

Dined at this establishment for a birthday dinner. All food was exemplary!!! Perfect temperature perfect portion size and wonderful flavor!!! Service was.... Not bad, but the time it took for attention was a bit off. I understand everyone has bad days or whatever, but I feel a little closer attention to customers might be a benefit. The outdoor eating area was shaded and lovely!

A slice of Italy in Key West! The best Italian food in Key West. It's a beautiful space, open kitchen, great staff! Pizza is baked for just a few minutes in a wood fired oven, like being in Napoli. Pasta is made in-house, same with sauces. The mozzarella fritta is AMAZING! My spouse is from Umbria, Italy and this is as authentic as it gets!!!

An enjoyable Italian grill sitting near the marina with generous menu options and variety. We had some spacious indoor seating, and despite being next to the bar, it still felt somewhat intimate with the ambiance. It's not upscale romantic, but casual and dim altogether. The mozzarella fritta I started with was pretty generous in portion, almost the size of my entree. The gentle, crusty exterior gave each bite of the gooey mozzarella some excellent texture. Mozzarella was melted in such a way to retain enough fat and moisture to keep the mozzarella tasting fresh. A pretty good start. I ended with the Gnocchi Alla Bolognese. The three meats courted the homemade gnocchi's soft, absorbent texture, and had a hearty pork, veal, and beef flavor in each bite. Others in my party had a pork chop that was enjoyable, but one was also undercooked. The kitchen heated up the pork chop again, but it wasn't enough to fix it. HOWEVER, the staff was courteous enough to discount it kindly. The staff was great and offered recommendations and alternatives, and along with the pork chop issue they were very accommodating. We didn't wait long for the service or food. I had one of their cocktails, but like many cocktails in this city I found it to be lacking in alcohol content and tasted like I was drinking juice. It wasn't a terrible cocktail, but I wouldn't pay a cocktail price to drink juice. All together, it was not a bad experience. My meal was actually quite enjoyable and the staff was great. I'd most likely go again.

I tried here since we drove by it multiple times on the hotel shuttle. The happy house appetizers were good. Meatballs and fried mozzarella. I was excited about a lobster pizza until it arrived...there was no way it was lobster. It pretty much was imitation crab. Disappointed. Other guest enjoyed their pizzas. Two others ordered medium steak, and both steaks were very overdone and not flavorful or melted in your mouth. Tough to eat. Overall, minus the upsets, the food was good. Would order different items next time.

    Gnocchi was amazing!!

Perfect for a nice relaxing moment, great service, amazing food!! Don't mistake this for the Onlywood pizzeria this is the Grill. Which has amazing pizza oven cooking!!

While looking for a great dinner and pizza place in Key West we stumbled upon Onlywood Grill. They have two locations. The small one is where they started. And the story goes that their lines were so long at that little place, that they later acquired the larger location. We dined at the newest and larger location and the atmosphere was beautiful. They have an outdoor sitting as well. Our waiter Alfonso was so tentative and friendly we felt like we've known him for years. For appetizers we ordered the octopus. We usually have doubts about ordering octopus because most places give you a very small portion and charge a lot. But when we got it, it didn't disappoint. It was fresh and the sauce was divine with it. My husband ordered pepperoni pizza which was delicious. Authentic wood grilled pizza. The dough was crunchy and soft. Simply a heck of a good pizza. I ordered a side salad with the appetizer wings. Wow, you must try those wings. Best I have ever eaten. The spices and their sauce... outstanding! We loved it so much that we returned the next night to have our 39 year anniversary dinner. My husband ordered the surf & turf and I ordered the two lobster tail dinner. We also shared a mushroom risotto. Alfonso (we got the same table again, and our waiter :), already knew what my husband wanted for drinks. And we felt again, the great 5-star service. Overall, we will definitely be back to try additional menu items when we are back in the Keys. Cheers to another great restaurant experience!!

Ohhhhh the mozzarella - take me back! We love this place and visit every time we're in Key West. Excellent food, service, and the patio is a lovely place to people-watch. Happy hour is amazing, give the sangria a try!

This is based on a to go order and not dine in experience. The margarita pizza 4/5 was freshly made . I'm not a big fan of the sauce which also means the spaghetti 3/5 tastes same as pizza . Both my kids didn't like it which is odd as it tastes just like the chef boyardee I ate growing up. The chicken Parmesan 3/5 was breaded chicken with no cheese or sauce . My ravioli spinach 1/5 could use ALOT less oil. It was dripping of oil and I could not finish it . The lobster and shrimp ravioli 4/5 was good had a generous amount of lobster. Overall the price to value wasn't there for me .

We had a reservation and were seated promptly at a table up front. Our server was over in flash and soon we were sharing the tuna watermelon ceviche, the lobster mac and cheese and the quesadilla. All were delicious! For our entrees, we had the chicken and waffles, scallops with more of that lobster mac and cheese (I said it was good!) the fresh catch of the day and a ceasar salad. The fresh catch came with an ear of corn that I made short work of! For dessert we devoured the banana bread french toast that was perfection! I forgot to take a photo of their cold brew process that was being done in the morning, but it was fascinating to watch. The process looked painstakingly slow, yet very cool and worth seeing. After a long day of walking and sightseeing, a small afternoon coffee break was much needed. We ordered iced coffee along with a slice of honey cake. The cake was moist, not overly sweet, and paired perfectly with either iced or hot coffee. The only downside was the service toward the end of our visit. Since they were preparing to close, the staff had already started putting things away and cleaning while customers were still seated and eating or drinking. Personally, I think cleaning should begin after closing time rather than while guests are still trying to enjoy their experience. Overall, I'd definitely come back for the honey cake and would love to try their cold brew next time.

I think we did nothing wrong. We are professionals, polite, we are 4 professors working for the university in different field, well, one in food safety. We are with kids and the kids behave extremely well, making no noise. But one thing is, yes, we are Asian. Ana Maria rolls her eyes so many times. I feel extremely bad to be treated the most racist way in my life. The kids get water without a cap. We never get refills for water for the entire dinner. She refuses to separate the bills for us at the end, or is it a restaurant wide policy? Yes, we spend ~500 dollars on the food. And it is mandatory to pay close to 100 dollars for a tip, and I understand it because we are party of 8. And We are excited to try everything. We understand it might be a busy day for restaurant, even though we did not get food for a long time but we did not complain at all. But by the end of the day, she says we need space and a table for the others, so they kick us out right after paying the bill. We move out, but no one is using our table. We feel being treated very rudely, so we report to the manager. She is very nice and apologizes to us and waives some fees equal to the tips. But the waitress never shows up or apologizes. I understand she might have a tough day, but this is very unprofessional to do this or highly suspicious to be racist. I want to say, we are professionals, and this won't be the end of the story. We will do everything to make sure the restaurant pays the price, and we have the ability to do it. Update: I reduced one more star for the manager's reply. The service was clearly rude. The manager said they support their team and offered an excuse. This was clearly not an apology. If the waitress was just rushed or needed the work done earlier, we would understand, but the way they treated people was beyond rude. We could see how differently she treated us compared to others. Let's add more details: we were a party of 8. They put us in the middle of the hallway. She kept complaining that we were in her way (it was not our fault!!!!!) She explained the oysters were 12 for a dozen (reminder, she did not mean the price; it was 48 dollars), but she made it confusing or assumed we did not understand what a dozen means. Btw, the CDC is warning about the oyster salmonella outbreak in 22 states, including FL. Unfortunately, I have been having diarrhea for the past two days. Will do a checkup and update everyone.
