I had read some pretty good reviews about this place and knew I wanted to check it out for brunch during a recent trip to key west. Even though it was Sunday during brunch time, we were able to get a table right away. They had plenty of space and the inside was decorated very cute. The portions were huge. Let me start by saying the food was amazing, I highly recommend the banana and pecan pancakes. We split an order of pancakes and the three egg and meat breakfast and had leftovers between the two of us even after way over eating. If I was just reviewing based on that I would give them 5 stars. Now for the parts we didnt love. We ordered the Irish breakfast shot and the whiskey they use was much more harsh than other places. You really got some of that whiskey flavor and a bit of hair on the chest, if you know what I mean. Then for the endless mimosas, they are only endless if you order a meal, but that is fine, especially considering they were only $7.50. The part we didnt like as much was that they were very champagne flavored. If you enjoy your mimosas with a splash of juice then you will love these but since we arent huge fans of champagne and prefer a bit more juice we struggled a bit. That was more just comes down to preference though. Service was pretty quick. We were able to get a table right away even during what would normally be Sunday brunch rush. The server was relatively attentive and made sure our drinks were constantly topped off. The restaurant itself was also nice with a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Would come again. It should've been a clue to us that the place was empty so we were excited about no line and no waiting. Weight staff was super friendly and tried to be accommodating and for those reasons we give two stars. But the food and drinks were disappointing. I initially ordered a French martini and I was delivered something that looked like lemonade. I let the server know that a French martini is raspberry and pineapple based and typically looks more pink or slightly purple in color and isn't clear to which he said that they googled how to make it and felt it was on point. Nonetheless, the waiter offered to take my drink and brought me a margarita, which I thought would be a safe bet but wrong again you can see in the photo. I didn't even drink it nor did I send it back because I lost faith in their ability to make a drink. The food was not good. I ordered zucchini fries, which didn't taste like zucchini and perhaps we're old and over fried and I also ordered crabcakes, which are usually a safe bet. However, these were full of veggies and incredibly spicy so I didn't eat them either. I would definitely not come back here to drink or eat and I caution those who do to ask lots of questions and stick to beer or canned beverages and full proof options like a salad if you're going to give it a shot. read more

The restaurant is just off Duval and you can easily walk right by. That's exactly what we did but a little persistence paid off. The food and service were both excellent. You can eat inside or outside. We arrived early and were able to walk right in and get a table. By the time we were leaving the restaurant was filling up so reservations might be helpful if you want to eat later. We shared a crab cake for the appetizer and it was delicious and flavorful. You can easily make this your entree. I had the Parmesan and panko breaded mahi mahi which was outstanding. It's an item that I highly recommend. A friend had the Spanish clams and chorizo. He raved about the quality and flavor of the meal. My husband had the crab stuffed lobster tail which is as delicious as it looks. We've been to Key West many times and have never tried the restaurant but it will definitely be on the list for our next trip to paradise. read more

We decided to try a this restaurant for lunch and it was just ok. Apparently, this is a popular spot for bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's priced at $7.95. The lunch menu has an ok selection. We had looked online at menu and did not know about the lunch offering. Most of the diner menu items were not on the lunch menu, at least the items were had hoped to try. We ended up with the mahi sandwich and lobster roll. Both items were tasty. We both were a little disappointed with the small amount of lobster and fish. The service was not great. They do have outdoor seating if that interests you. With so many other places to eat nearby, i would not return. read more

Picked this restaurant for our Key West trip and so glad i did that. The food was delicious, presentation was even better. Parking for restaurant is right outside in the plaza with all other small shops, not far at all. There are lighted trees outside in the courtyard which make the walk to the restaurant such a pleasant one. The service was all men and they were very nice and helpful. Such a nice hidden gem. I am not an easy person to please but, our waiter, Augustine was so on point. Every request was met with a no problem and a smile. While the restaurant was not packed, it wasn't empty either and he was there for all his tables when something was needed. Tonight was a night of hit and miss. Hits - shrimp/grits app, bread and seafood lemon risotto. Misses - seafood Alfredo (more like gravy) and lobster bisque due to lack of lobster. Service was quick and attentive. Listened to our requests and was just a nod away. The bread came a loaf's for each us on a thing oil with loads of fluffy parm cheese. The grits were delicious with bits of corn and the cheese was melted in already. Shrimp was spot on. The seafood lemon risotto was delicious with the loads of seafood. All dishes has tons of large shrimp or scallops. Only the soup was lacking. It tastes more of sherry than lobster. The seafood pasta was more like a gravy (in taste and color) and less like a Alfredo sauce. Nodding to the 4 stars but would have given 3.5. And so many people around us got quite sloppy with the unlimited drinks, especially as our timing coincided with spring break. We choose the ocean grill for our New Year's Eve meal via open table.. One thing open table did not convey was it was a limited menu evening at $120 a head Now that didn't upset us. That's not why we are giving it two stars. The reason for our criticism was almost everything we were served was cold. Nothing like lobster thermidor cold especially as it's typically finished under a broiler. Or room temp soup and barely warm seafood and pasta. But hey the dessert was good. The server never asked how we were enjoying it and actually we had to question him after ordering and waiting 15 mins for nothing to show up . Mrs did some kind of meat roll cold . The $7.95 bottomless mimosas was very misleading. There was no disclaimer either on the advertising or by the waitress until the drinks were brought to us. After we received the drinks, she explained we had to order a meal or it would be $14.95. She should've mentioned it right away. Then after we received refills and asked for the check, the additional drinks were on the bill. She never said the $14.95 wasn't the bottomless mimosas, and instead charged us for everything. This is a must stop restaurant. Our service was fantastic. Everything we ate is a must try. Not many places hit perfection on everything you order. The lobster bisque might have ruined me for future bisques, they have raised the bar on expectations going forward. The bruschetta was a delightful pairing to go with the soup. Our served had the chef split our entree onto two plates so we didn't have to cut everything in half. I'm not much of a fish person, but after having this Parmesan crusted mahi I might be going for fish more often. It was delightful. Shrimp Scallop Diavolo is so buttery and garlicky and was large enough to share. Lobster Mac n Cheese was also large enough to share - and they were not stingy with the lobster. Aaaand they were in large chunks so the meat is easily recognizable. Ahi Tuna was also very good. The sauce and other ingredients and flavors did not overpower the fish. There was no line to get in, it didn't take long to get our order in, our drinks came promptly and the wait for the food didn't take long either. read more

We went on a rainy holiday weekend when lots of people were seeking shelter from the rain. I'm unsure what the normal vibe or energy of the place is, but when we went there was a loud and rowdy group of adults at the bar where we sat. (No problem for us, necessarily.) Larry, our bartender and server was good. The POS was down and the poor staff was running orders as best they could. The drinks were good, the food was not unfortunately. Neither of us ate more than a few mouthfuls. Truthfully, we think that staff was overwhelmed between the POS system and large crowd during odd hours. Is followed up by decent menu selection for brunch, solid price is all around, and the outdoor seating is quite comfortable as long as weather is permitting. We were fortunate to have this spot just below our apartment that we were renting for a week during our visit to Key West. You have definitely the option to dine with the wildlife, which if you have been to Key West know exactly what I mean, chicken and roosters clocking around at your feet just waiting on that unfortunate tumble of your meal. The servers during the week that I was there were constantly busy, I am not sure if they were understaffed or not prepared for a surge of business, but there were some lapses in prompt service. I'm a patient guy and not in a hurry, so I never had to complain or get too testy, the mimosas kept getting refilled and that kept me happy. Staff was friendly, to us... but I did see one confrontation between a server and a customer, but 9 times out of 10 those are started by some over-entitled guests that didn't have the PERFECT experience. We could all stand to learn a little grace. Service industry folks go through the ringer, especially over the past year. While none of the breakfast options were bad, the French toast was absolutely my favorite! Big thick slices and a serving size that might be best for two people, it had crumbles of frosted flakes or corn flakes... It really added to the crunch and flavor of the dish. This place has an overall yucky feeling. My order, which I communicated clearly to server came out wrong. Very small pasta portions especially for paying $35 per plate. Filet mignon under seasoned and mahi overcooked. Sub par service and okay ish food yet they add an automatic gratuity charge for 5 people which was not communicated by the service nor written on the menu.
