I want to talk about the great workers at the McCue Street Wendy's (in the Pilot station). My gramps used to call it "bustin' hump". Not only are they extra hard workers, but, they stop and take the time to ensure the comfort of their guests. It's the usual Wendy's fare, so nothing different to report. The building itself is a bit dingy. High traffic volume and such. I see no evidence to question the hygiene of their product. This is truly the worst run Wendys in the nation and it's unfortunately my local one. Nothing ever works, drive thru is never open, they're out of this and that and some of the most interesting people in Laramie must work there. It's so bad it's almost funny. Sadly I echo most of the local reviews here. Wendy's in town has gone horribly down hill. The service continues to get worse and worse, and the quality of the food is getting shockingly spotty. Especially at the Mccue st location( which is part of a pilot truck stop). I have been doing business with this location since it opened long ago. The prices are crazy high, and they are exceptionally short staffed. My husband brought home some take out from there yesterday, chili and a baconator. The chili was literally like soup, very thin and broth like, hardly anything in it. But worst of all was the 10$ baconator. I took two bites of it, I was starving, before I realized that the meat was mushy. I held it back so I could look at it, and the patties were rare. I did not finish it. Today I took that burger back to wendys, something I would normally never do, and with my receipt to show its purchase time just the day before, I had refrigerated it till i took it back. I thought i could walk in and talk to a a shift supervisor or someone, and get a replacement or a refund. I almost never complain to any restaurant, but this was 10$ we couldn't afford to just away. There was a line of maybe 7 people when I got in there at 230pm, i assumed it would be slow then. 3 people were working, a female cook, a young man with long hair, and the manager John. The young man was the only cashier. There was no drive in business coming in at this time, so these three only had those of us out front to deal with. I bet it took me 30 minutes just to get to the cashier. I didn't want to be loud , but told the young man, that we had recieved a raw burger, and I would like a replacement or a refund. I was surprised that he didn't even look at the burger or receipt and said he would get me a replacement. I asked if he needed my name for the order, and he said no, that the cook would hand him one and he would hand it to me. He said to just throw the burger I brought in away. I said ok and stood off to the side waiting for my burger. In that time, 3 other orders were placed and arrived to customers. 2 customers also had come back up to address issues with their orders, missing items, etc. I waited another 20 minutes o so, and finally john the manager asked if I needed help, there was only one other guy in line at that time. I answered I was waiting for a replacement baconator. He turned to the cook and asked about it, and she snapped something back at him. During my wait the cook had disappeared for ten minutes at least. she was not around. So John the manager was trying to fill fries, cook fries, and cook burgers as well as his other duties. He looked harried and sick. A trucker next to me and i were conversing and wondering if the cook had quit or taken a time out. She was belligerent and upset the whole time, and was undoubtedly overwhelmed. She did eventually come back in. They obviously need more crew, but for some reason this location is notorious, and can't keep workers. I only live 300 yards from there, so I try to do business with them when I can, but from here on out I will try the Grand avenue, newly refurbished , location. If I get bad service or food there, I will no longer support Wendys in any way in this town. John did give me my burger, which i was so discouraged at waiting almost an hour for, that I was beyond caring, and he said he gave me some bacon fries too help out. i appreciated that, but when i got outside and tasted them 2 minutes later, they were cold and soggy, so I assume they were someone's miscue order, and were just setting around. I feel bad, but after over a decade of using this Wendys, i will not be back. Kudos for John for trying to do all he could, but he is on a sinking ship. Maybe they need to pay more to get better help? not sure what the issue is. But they have now lost my business. This was just one complaint, the one that broke the camels back for me, in a litany of bad service, and missing items over the past few years. read more

Stopped here while driving through the area. Placed 4 person order on Wendy's app 2 minutes before we arrived. Got $5 off with app promo. Food arrived hot and accurate within 5 minutes of arrival. Food was also tasty. Not sure why all the bad reviews here. read more

I put in a mobile order for the drive through and when I pulled into the very tight lane the lady told me that they were very busy and they I would have to back out of the drive through and come in to get my food wouldn't have been a big deal but someone pulled in right behind me and I was unable to get out so I waited for 30 minutes in line just to park and go into to wait longer read more

Would go zero stars... Wemdys has been going downhill in general. Placed the order but have the app and quite often the 'offers' dont ring up right. The nice lady had to do it manually. Picked up the order, got to the car and started driving off. Then we discovered we were missing a burger and there was no bacon on the dbl bacon stack. Tried a fry and it was cold. Got back inside and the young smartass pony tailed brat looked up my order and claimed i was wrong. Went back to car, got the rcpt went back in, told him he was wrong and he started talking schmack. They then proceeded to take everything out of my bag and manhandle it They evenltually gave me another burer but everything was cold by then and not appetizing at all. There the whole bag in the garbage since, the watly the kid was acting and dropping an f bomb on me and my 11 year old, we thought they might have spit on them. Just a gross deal all around. I'm a truck driver, go to Wendy's all over the Western US and this is the stingiest one I've ever been to. I ordered the taco salad at 10am, was told I had to wait until 10:30am when they start serving lunch. Ok, maybe the chili isn't heated yet, I thought. Then I saw the guy who ordered after me get a bowl of chili. Ok. Waited until 10:27 was told I had to wait another 3 minutes. Ok. Finally ordered the taco salad which typically comes with a cup of chili, corn chips, sour cream, a container of salsa, salad and salad dressing. There was no salsa, no salad dressing, the cup of chili was only half full and the amount of salad was way less than normal. Decided to pick my battle and just ask for salad dressing and for the cup of chili to be filled. The hag told me no on both counts, saying to use the sour cream as dressing, and that I had enough chili to put on the salad. I told her that every other Wendy's I've been to fills the cup with chili and provides salad dressing. She gave me salad dressing but no chili. I paid $12 for this salad and a soda, left still hungry feeling ripped-off. read more

Great location just off the Hwy. The restrooms were clean and very private. The restaurant was located inside the store. The staff member who served me was ver polite and friendly. My baked potato snack was delicious. Came with extra sour cream and butter. No one was wearing a mask but they had plexiglass installed. read more

Why is it that whenever I stop here to eat they never get my order correct? I ordered the berry salad and what's in it ? Iceberg lettuce!!! The worst Wendy's I have ever been to. It took a longer time then other Wendy's to order but I didn't think anything of it, after I ordered I was waiting n I noticed that almost every customer had a problem with their order, missing items or wrong order entirely. So I finally got my order a spicy chicken sandwich meal large fries n drink I got exactly what I ordered but when I went to eat the spicy chicken sandwich it was almost burnt n extremely dry I wish I could bring it back but I had to leave I'm a truck driver n I have a schedule to keep. We ate at the McCue Street Wendy's last night and were shocked at a) the filth; b) the lack of available menu items; c) the 20-minute wait to receive our order; d) the grumpy counter clerk. Granted, there were only three people working and the clerk was handling both the counter and the drive-through and was running ragged. The kitchen floors were covered with trash, as was the dining room floor. Flies were everywhere! And, they reversed my husband's and my orders, which is really bad when I can't have gluten, but my burger arrived in a bun. I'm surprised the Health Department has not closed this location. The Grand Avenue location is light years superior to the McCue Street store. read more

Food wasn't that great. Got the biggie bag for 5$. Only thing good was the deal. The spicy nuggets were alright not as freshly tasted. Could have been out for awhile. The crispy chicken sandwich didn't taste good at all. I didn't finish the sandwich because it had a oily like taste. It's a Wendy's in a truck stop. Don't expect white table clothes here. Actually the place is not all that bad. The service was pretty fast and my sandwich tasted alright. Steven's salad was not so great though. It was kind of wilty and the lettuce looked like it just got ripped to pieces to make a salad which was originally intended for the sandwiches. I have been to other Wendy's were the salads taste much better but since this location is probably considered a satellite location they don't have all menu items available like a regular Wendy's restaurant so they are just making do with what they have available to them so you will have to make do as well.... unless it is a big enough deal you have to find the actual restaurant in town and drive from one end to other to get to it. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday passing through town. The restaurant was dirty, there were no napkins or ice and the employees seemed confused on how to do their job. The menu listed several salads, but when it was our turn to order we were informed there was only 1 option for a salad. The food came out pretty slowly. The salad was small and part of the lettuce was wilted/slimy and my husband's food was not fresh. I would not stop here again. read more

This Wendy's is disgusting and very unclean. You can literally see crusted food on the cracks if all the counters in the kitchen from the front. They constantly serve raw chicken to customers. How so I know because I was one of them. My brother worked here and told me how nasty it was and the things management did to customers orders and how they treated him. Which is pretty missed up because hes handicapped. I should start a lawsuit to be honest. I will never eat here again and you should stay far away. I also noticed some fire hazards and breaker boxes being covered with Wendy's supplies. This place needs a major revamp or to be shut down read more

We got fuel here at the Pilot station and thought a Frosty would be just the thing to tide us over until we got to Steamboat Springs. The frosty was good but the place is really dirty and had drug deals and prostitution going on in parking lot. Would probably skip this place if we are in the area again. read more

One of the best Wendy's I've eaten at. The food was fresh and tasty. The fries were very good considering Wendy's isn't my favorite fry. Cleanliness is about average for Wendy's. If you don't like this Wendy's you probably won't like any Wendy's. read more

We stopped for a salad and a frosty on our way home to Texas. The food was good. About 2 hours later I realized I had left my purse which contained my credit card, money, drivers license, and insurance card. By this time we were in Colorado. I called Wendy's and talked to an employee named Jason who said he found it and described the contents to me. I had my purse and all the contents delivered to my house 3 days later . He took the time and effort to FedEx my purse to me Needless to say it was a blessing that he found it. I hate to imagine what could have happened if a dishonest person had found it.
