    Hawaiian BBQ House Mix Plate
    William C.

Aloha Laramie...home of the Cowboys and some great tasting Hawaiian BBQ. The taste is legit Hawaii. Meats marinated and charbroiled just like they do in Hawaii. I had the mix plate so I could try it all and I wasn't disappointed. Mac salad is also a great side. The Teriyaki Chicken and BBQ beef bowl is a decent value and gives you the flavors of the Hawaii you came for. Seating inside only and only 3 small tables. But to go is a very popular option. Parking is limited to street parking. I wouldn't recommend the parking lot in the back. Also, no bathroom. Service is fast and friendly. At peak lunch & dinner hours, consider getting your plate to go.

Our cross country trip was taking us through states we've never been to and our map had us passing through Laramie, WY. University of Wyoming is the flagship school. It was mid August and students haven't returned to university so the town was a bit sleepy. I came across reviews and thought how cool to find Hawaiian BBQ in the middle of America. Of course we had to come try it. We found street parking and there are few tables for seating. The interior had that Hawaiian vibe. We ordered a few dishes and they were all very good. Prices are a little on the higher end. Good portion size. If you want something different, try this place!

Unfortunately, tonight experience is what made my review go from five star to three star. This is Dry, burnt, all you taste is burnt breading on the chicken. It is so unfortunate, because the first time around it was absolutely perfect. This time this is barely edible. Removing the breading, the chicken is completely flavor less. I know we showed up at the super busy. period, maybe the chef was in a hurry and forgot to pay attention to disorder but This sucked.

The food was great and it's amazing to have some variety in Laramie, but I believe the food is wayyyyyyy too overpriced for what it is. I absolutely adore Hawaiian bbq, but have only been here once since the opening due to how expensive it is to dine here. I don't understand why the prices are so high. It's ridiculous. I'd really love to eat here more but it's less expensive to literally sit down and eat at Altitude or Rib and Chop. Please lower your prices, this is a college town Maybe I'm just a bit spoiled being from California, but if a Hawaiian food place had prices like this there, they'd be out of business quick. Just throwing suggestions here.

Kimchi fried rice & SPAM Musubi

As someone who's ethically Hawaiian I'm always happy to try native food on the mainland. Was interesting to hear the restaurant was started by someone from Mexico, but the flavors are mostly right. The menu has some great daily specials but sadly zero pork options. Kimchi fried rice was heavy on the kimchi but a bargain at $10. Spam musubi was 10/10 and the best I've had in years.

    Chicken Katsu and Loco Moco

I was born and raised on Oahu and living in Laramie, so I'm always looking for good Hawaiian food. This place delivered, great Katsu and Loco Moco.

This place is great! Tried the bbq chicken and bbq beef plates, both of which were fantastic. I'd definitely go back!

They had a great on draft beer selection and we decided to try out the Buffalo fries. They were so good!! Loaded with sauce, bleu cheese, and fried chicken pieces. The kids split a small pizza (which was good sized 8-10in) And we split the large swiss army. Lots of toppings and delicious! Definitely recommend if you're looking for an affordable relaxed and fun atmosphere.

We were greeted by a nice hostess at the front and seated and offered waters but was then forgotten about for ~7 minutes before we flagged down the bartender to take our water order... we eventually ordered food with our actual waiter (who seemed like he could not be bothered to deal with us) and it took over THIRTY (probably forty) MINUTES to come out. I understand it's Black Friday/a holiday and they're busy, but the restaurant was not even fully packed. When the food eventually came out, it was underwhelming and not worth the price paid or time waited - pizza texture was off. We were delayed and hit the road later than planned because service was much slower than we anticipated. Learned our lesson and would not stop here again when passing through Laramie.

Lots of travelers find it on Yelp and lots of locals deem it a Nextdoor favorite. The place is bustling on a random Monday filled with people the servers know by name and with those they dutifully seat and meet. We were the latter. Our server was friendly. The place is not a diner by east coast standards but instead a small storefront containing a restaurant. It has a room in front and one in back. With the kitchen and bathrooms in between. The difference here is the food! It is 5 Star Midwest type fair here. Good portions and reasonable prices. Oh my! This place had such good food. It easily was the best meal I ate in a week. We sat down already knowing Guy Fieri ate here but didn't know much else. Somehow through pure chance we ordered the three dishes that are the locals favs as we noticed on a card at the table after ordering. The breakfast burrito was the bomb. Yes, you should order it! The eggs with crispy hash browns inside and your choice of meat, I did bacon, was so tasty with the green chili poured over it. It was plate licking good. The 7220 burrito was also a fave with the pork and the same green chili sauce. The chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy was also so tasty. We didn't stop there because we heard about homemade pie and homemade cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon roll was medium sized with home made icing and lots of cinnamon so decadent. The pies we had, peach & strawberry rhubarb, had flaky buttery crusts and full of fruit. One we did as is and one ala mode with a hearty portion of vanilla ice cream. Sooooo good!
