Second day in Laramie, we're glad we made this stop! The food was good! Friendly service. It was supposed to be a light lunch stop, we enjoyed the food so much, it was filling. It was quiet and gave a nice vibe.

This place is to die for!! I've always been obsessed with Asian culture and food, and shall I say this place is phenomenal. The food is amazing. My best friend and I were walking the town and decided to stop there just because. Now it's our favorite restaurant! My girlfriend became a big fan of the restaurant because of me taking her there. I don't have any complaints, really. It's definitely worth the time and money.

I'm really happy that Laramie now has a place to get a good noodle soup! I got the pork black garlic ramen and besides a super overcooked egg, it had great flavor and lots of yummy noodles. I found the sushi to be just ok (I tried a Philadelphia roll, my go-to) with a lot of rice and a little too much of everything. However, my friend really enjoyed the Arkansas and California tempura rolls, so it might just be dependent on the roll and the person. The prices are about what you'd find anywhere else as the American economy crumbles, so no complaints there. The service was also better than I expected as the American service field crumbles as well. The tables are a bit close to each other so definitely not an intimate vibe, but I'm pretty sensitive to sound and didn't find it to be too loud. All in all, I'd come back here for ramen and perhaps to try their poke, but probably not for sushi.

One of the best Ramen I have ever tasted. Authentic flavor of food, great service. Ordered more food but ate them before we snapped a picture. We ordered 3 different types of ramen and 2 rolls. Hopefully will be going back soon.

Based on the strong reviews we decided to give Niko Sushi & Steak a try. We arrived Monday around…read more6pm. We were seated immediately and the place was bustling. 2 sushi chefs and I saw maybe 2 cooks in the back. Our waitress promptly took our order. I ordered a specialty roll and my son ordered the salmon nigiri . I also ordered hot green tea. Rolls came out pretty quick. However my roll was loosely pressed and the Tuna was incomplete with sear, it seared oddly. Coloring and consistency was off. Like an opalescent grey. See pic. It did not look appetizing to me. I ate it and it was tasty but again the rice was not compressed enough to give you a satisfying bite. The salmon nigiri rolls were good Also I didn't care for the presentation. The two orders should have been separated but were plated on the same plate . The miso soup was 10 stars. Delicious and a rich flavor Tofu pieces were semi firm My salmon combo dish was just okay. Salmon was dry and a bit fishy , however once dipped in the sauces it was good . The sauces were its saving grace. The veggies were well seasoned and a variety given. The rice was dry and didn't have a fresh steamed flavor or consistency We always have steamed rice at home and this just didn't have a fresh flavor or consistency. Salad was fresh, crisp and the ginger dressing was yummy. Weird Note regarding service. Once we appeared finished with our rolls (I left 1/3 of the speciality roll ) our waitress asked if we were ready for the check and if she could bring us a box . We reminded her of our main entrees we ordered and she was very apologetic and said she would check on them . Hot green tea was served in an iron tea pot. I'm thinking this was just an off night for them as the place was busy with to-go customers and other diners happily eating

Fantastic Sushi, with Wonderful Gluten-Free Options!!…read more - - - - - - - - June, 2026 Visit Kyle and his team went out of their way to make us gluten free sushi, off-the-menu!!! and it was amazing! Kyle put so much into getting us a wonderful lunch that we would grant six stars if we could !!!!! For the record, as of this visit, most of the food at Hi sushi is gluten free... only the eel sauce, onion something and tempura have gluten, and they are willing to substitute for you. And still, as we just asked to confirm what we could order, Kyle and Kyla worked to confirm what we wanted and we confirmed a couple substitutes. THEN they worked magic.... They improvised on the recipe and brought us something even more special!! The Tokyo combo is good and they made sure to replace the one fish marinated in eel sauce with another fish - this was good. Same for the nigiri / sashimi we ordered. Both were good without soy sauce... and Lyle replaced that with another gf sauce for us and that was extra tasty, too. Kyle's magic was the Laramie roll... a couple ingredients were substituted, and they put "baby" scallops on top - the smallest I have ever seen, about the size of a pearl onion. And then Kyle and team provided a special sauce that was fantastic. The GF Laramie special is fantastic. Thank you for a great lunch, Hi Sushi!! ----- ----- -----

I asked for take out and was given a small cardboard take out container that was divided with 3 places for food. When I asked for take out, the guy at the counter handed me the container and told me "No steak!" What irritated me was that he watched me as I went through to get my food (the register is near the buffet line) as if I was going to try to sneak some steak into my plate. There was a good selection of food. I picked up a little of several items. Since I read the reviews, I added some General Tso's chicken. My mistake was that I saw some red jello in the salad bar and had a craving for jello, so added it to my plate. When I went to pay, the guy opened my container, just to make sure I didn't take steak. When I handed him the money, there was not a thank you or smile. When I got back to my hotel room, I opened the container and the jello had melted all over my food! I hardly ate anything, nothing really tasted good, except for the General Tso's chicken. Suggestion to the restaurant - offer a small container for jello or cold things. It can still fit inside the take out container, but would help to keep things from running together. If I do go back, I'll skip the jello and load up on the General Tso's chicken.

Avoid This Buffet - A Sad Excuse for Chinese Food…read more I'm honestly struggling to find anything positive to say about my experience here. I've given buffets the benefit of the doubt before, but "China Buffet" was a new low. The entire meal felt like a lesson in disappointment. Let's start with the food quality, or lack thereof. Nothing tasted fresh. The eggrolls were limp and soggy, like they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The sweet and sour chicken and other fried items had completely lost their crunch, becoming a chewy, greasy mess. It's a cardinal sin for fried food to be soggy at a buffet. The issues didn't stop there. Several of the hot dishes, like the lo mein and a beef stir-fry, were barely lukewarm. Even more concerning, some of the meat items, particularly the pepper steak, had an "off" taste that made me think they were old and had been sitting out far too long. I took one bite and left the rest on my plate. My advice to the owner is simple: Focus on quality and freshness over quantity. It doesn't matter how many dishes you have if none of them are appetizing. The staff should be constantly checking the buffet lines--stirring food, replenishing items with fresh batches, and most importantly, throwing away food that has been sitting out for hours. Just because the restaurant was slow during my visit doesn't mean it's acceptable to serve old, unappetizing food. I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be returning. Save your money and your stomach; there are much better options out there. One last thing, get rid of your ice cream freezer, it looks like that's where you put all the dead body parts.
