I normally like Wendy's, but this location is horrible! I left San Diego at 1am to head to San Jose and this was my first pit stop at 6am. Service: None. I stood in line for about 15 minutes with no customer in front or behind me while the employee looked at her clip board and spoke on the phone. There was no friendly morning greet or a simple, "I'll be with you shortly.". When She finally had the time to take my order she just looked at me without the typical, "Welcome to Wendy's, how may I help you?" While she took my order, She repeated it three times and each time she was wrong. She was getting frustrated and was giving me more and more attitude. Before I even got my receipt, she yelled in my face, "NEXT!" Food/Price: The food is the same as any other Wendy's but I think this location is a little more expensive Environment: This Wendy's is actually connected to a pit stop type of store with restrooms and shower rooms. The pit stop was VERY clean, too bad I can't say the same about this Wendy's! It was horrible! The tables were dirty with crumbs, the floor was sticky and this was in the morning! Love Wendy's, but not this one. We have stopped here before going between LA and the Bay. First time service was horrible, and the food and drinks weren't any better. Last month thinking maybe it was just a bad day for them last time we were there, we decided to give them another try. So we stopped in on our way down to LA. Employees were nicer, but food and drinks were same as before. Only decent thing was the fries. Burgers were undercooked and sloppily put together. Drinks were all watered down even without ice. Ordered 2 spicy pulled pork fries, 2 6-piece spicy chicken nuggets, and fries. I repeated my order 3 times to a cashier with a blank look on her face THE WHOLE TIME. My junior bacon cheeseburger had lettuce in it that was crispy, green and fresh both times when stopped here (going to LA and coming back). I went here on a pit stop on my way to Los Angeles. I didn't want Mc Donald's, Jack in the Box nor Burger King... I wanted Wendy's. I was craving for there chili and nuggets. The French fries were fresh off the hot oil bath but the nuggets tasted old, seem like it's been sitting. The chili was mediocre and delicious as usual. Overall, this place is pretty slow, except for may truckers who stop by grab a bite and travelers like me pit stopping. I am a SoCal native who has been living in the bay for the last 2 years. I go down to LA very often to visit family, and over the course of the last 2 years - have eaten here on a regular basis. However, the last few months I have received the WORST possible service, to the point where I am more than likely to eat elsewhere. I get it, it's CA. You speak Spanish. I do not. However, that does not mean that I am less entitled to good service. The last handful of times I have not received my receipt or my order was either late or wrong. They just don't care. EVERY TIME I complain to the manager. Most recently (a week ago) my girlfriend and I stopped here while we were heading down into LA, she received her food before I did! How is this possible? We ordered at the same time. It wasn't just me, either. There were a handful of people that were complaining. How can you even charge someone for food and not give them a receipt?? I had to fight to hell and back to get one, and even then - it was the incorrect one. No apologies, nothing. A complaint to the manager didn't even help. This Wendy's got our order all wrong and it was disgusting. The waiter failed to tell us what was in the southwest sandwich. They also gave us vanilla frostys after I ordered chocolate and they said "they were out of chocolate" and failed to give us a drink holder. Overall this wendies was a disaster. This Wendy's is pretty well maintained for a place that gets so many travelers constantly stopping in. I thought that the service was friendly and we received our food quickly. Then she told us that's all. Thankfully my husband checked the bag to see if there was straws. He didn't find any straws. We waited until the employee came back to the window. We were passing through on our way back to Southern California. We stopped here to have a quick bite before heading out. We waited in line for about 3 minutes (that's a long time when it's fast food) and noticed it was taking so long because people were receiving incorrect orders and wanted either a refund or a new item. When we finally ordered I asked for NO SAUCE on my cheeseburger, I even double checked the receipt to make sure the cashier got it. We got our food and lo' and behold a nice fat dollop of mayo, ketchup, and mustard was on my burger. Seriously?!?!?! For travel stoppage place for break, it's a pretty good place. I was on my way to LA from SF and the bus stopped here for 20 mins. Even though it was 4am in the morning, I got my spicy chicken burger within 2 minutes of my order. It was warm and spicy delicious exactly what you need during the cold night journey. Stopped here on our way back to SoCal. This Lost Hills exit has quite a few places to choose if you either want to fill up gas, get a bite to eat, or just get out and stretch your legs. My girls were pretty hungry so we opted for this Pilot Travel Center with an attached Wendy's. We placed our order and our food came out promptly. The wife and I weren't really hungry so we just ordered nuggets and fries for the girls. I'm not sure if they were just hungry from the drive, or if they were just diggin' the nuggets...but they went to town on those bad boys. I had to go back and get them more. So I placed another order for more nuggets, and by the time I put my change away my food was ready. Damn that was fast! The manager even stopped by our table to check how everything was, which was a nice touch. One thing that my wife and I noticed was that a few of the workers were wearing pajama pants. Not sure what that was about, but that seemed a bit weird. One had batman pants, and another had one with a bunch of hearts. Overall a good experience at this Wendy's. Not the cleanest Wendy's, there's food remnants everywhere and the flies absolutely love it. The cashier was efficient and his lack of any emotion reminded me of a robot. My fries were definitely refried and dry. Service was ehh....but forgetfulness was on high. We requested for here but they gave it to go( not too big of a deal)... What made it a bigger issue was that there was nothing to go with my bake potato( sour cream, butter, fork, napkins, etc)... "This was to go?" The Apple Pecan Chicken salad had no pecans! After we went back for the pecans they then tell us that their out of pecans....why tell us after we made our purchase? Yeah, I'm reviewing a Wendy's. When you see a long line, which you often might, don't fret -- they're quick. They're also really nice -- shoutout to the manager walking around giving out free mints and asking if everything is great -- the smaller, nice gestures always win me over. I don't eat Wendy's enough back home so I don't know if there something special about the food here compared to most locations -- maybe they upped their food game -- but damn, the food here always tastes fresh and even looks aesthetically pleasing.
