On our way to DC we needed to eat so we decided on Wendy's and also to stretch some. The parking lot of the whole shopping center is completely disorganized. I'm not sure if this was always like this or because of construction but we had to find openings everywhere. They were a little busy with 2 small groups in front of us. The older lady who took our order was nice enough but could have been a little more pleasant. They completely messed our order up. No worries though, they made it right with all apologizes. I would give it minus five! Employees have a TERRIBLE attitude. They are either arguing or it's total chaos. I've been to the Mechanicsville Wendy's five or six times thinking it's got to be better but it is consistently bad! The last time I had to throw my breakfast sandwich away because it was cold and stale and uneatable. Wonder where they find these flunkys they hire because they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. The ladies room at 3 in the afternoon was disgusting. Shoes stuck to entirety of the floor. Toilet had diarrhea spray all over. The toilet had a horrible ring and sink had scum as well. Hopped on over to Wendy's after going to the annual Festival of the Arts and Sciences at Lee Davis High School. It was quite busy for 2 ish in the afternoon, and poorly staffed. The guy taking orders just stood there looking at us and never asked to take our order. Awkward. They must have been having some issues because while we were waiting, a few people had come in to get items that were forgotten in drive-thru orders. Visually, this Wendy's location needs a major renovation. They do not even have their full menu posted, but they have their dessert menu twice. The chairs and tables are very old and worn. It was clean in the dining room but not so much at the condiments area. Food was good though and tasted fresh. I would just stick to the drive through if in a hurry. read more

Seemed to be short of help, for sure. the person (Jada) did not get the order right. She May have put the order in right, and if she did it was prepared wrong. The four people there seemed to be working fast that may have part of the problem on our order. I ordered the double cheeseburger lettuce tomato and mayo. When I got home it had Pickles, Onion on it without Mayo. When we lived in Nebraska Wendy's was our first choice. Met Dave and Windy at the grand opening! The counter where they set orders for pickup was so dirty with food stains I ask to have a tray handed to me to avoid setting in my car, Please get it in shape so when we go back if there is a next time it is the Wendy's we use to love! Covid review: full disclosure I haven't eaten at Wendy's for years. Today curious got the best of me and I decided to swing by and check out the new Fish sandwich during my lunch break. I was hoping to run thru the drive thru order and pay for my meal and run home to log into my next Zoom meeting! Well curiosity not only liked the cast but it killed my lunch break! First of the Drive they was not open. Instead of putting a sign up signally that the drive thru was closed they let the customers wait in a line to get told they had to come inside. Instead of driving off I decided to go inside. The employees were wearing mask but they were not covering their noses. Against my better judgement I ordered the Panko fish sandwich and a peach lemon aid. I was quoted a 3 minute wait time for the fish to cook but it took closer to 10minutes. Was it worth the wait?? Heck no!! My fries were cold, my sandwich was bland and my lemonade tasted like diabetes!! Put it this way I would've had better results ordering lunch out of a dumpster from a trash panda!! Besides the food being bad the service was terrible the manager ignored the questions about the drive thru and wasn't wearing gloves! This place is terrible I used to work here and they fired me... They said I wasn't catching fast enough on top of that the mangers are sloppy One of the mangers grabbed a hamburger patty with no gloves on and ripped it from a burger a customer returned! on top of that she would pass gas, and complain about the customs all the time she would yell at us.. Some times my co workers would steal some of the customers fries, or reach into the fries underneath the light and shove some into their mouths they even ate some chicken nuggets... The manager came out told him what I had order and still did not get it right. 2 other people came up their orders were also wrong. Food is overall no better or worse than any other Wendy's, but is noticeably sketchier at night. I've had a lot of order accuracy issues here, so if you're at the drive thru, check and re-check your order before you drive off. They are too worried about trying to make their service times look artificially good and have long since lost focus on food quality or order accuracy. Don't believe me? If you're here at night, you'll see them waving a large metal pan out the second window to activate the sensor on the service timer to make it look like you have already received your food and driven away, but you've only just ordered.
