I was hungry and they were close so I thought I'd try them. Service was very slow. I don't plan on returning to this location anytime soon.

First time trying this restaurant chain and I'm so disappointed...that I didn't get to try it…read moresooner! Wow. The chicken tenders were so perfectly cooked and delicious. Fires with spice, super nice. Service was super quick ordering and getting the food. I recently had a very disappointing experience at your restaurant, and I feel compelled to share…read moreit. I placed a mobile order for pickup at the location closest to me, which happens to be on the University of Minnesota campus. Although I had never been to this location before, I chose it for convenience (which, unfortunately, turned out to be not convenient at all and actually ruined our evening). When we arrived, my husband dropped me off to go inside to pick up the food, and meanwhile, he was circling the block waiting for me to pick up the order as no parking was available. After a considerable wait, he called to check on me because it was taking so long. There were only two workers in the front: a busy female employee at the register and a male employee who appeared to be responsible for passing out food. I stood at the to-go area, staring at my food sitting there for about 10 minutes while the male worker walked past me several times, avoiding eye contact. I began to wonder if I was in the wrong area or if there was some unusual procedure at this location since the worker didn't acknowledge me, so I wandered over to the cash register area, but there was a huge line out the door at this point. I returned to the pass-out counter and watched the male worker talk with someone in the back for a few more minutes. When he finally finished, I asked if he was working, and he responded with "What?" I repeated my question, explaining that I was there to pick up my food. He clearly heard me and walked away with a smirk on his face, then started bagging someone else's food and passed out several other orders, while my order continued to sit there for about 10 more minutes. Meanwhile, my husband was getting increasingly frustrated as he continued to circle the block three times in rush hour traffic, all the while our food was sitting behind the counter being held hostage by one of the most inconsiderate and disrespectful workers I've ever encountered. I was just trying to grab a quick to-go order. After being ignored, I snapped a photo of the employee, and only then did he finally help me (you can see my order sitting there behind his shoulder, getting cold while he handed someone else their hot food). I wonder how much longer it would have taken him to help me if I hadn't taken his photo? Never, maybe. He finally asked me what I was there for, and I had to repeat my name twice. He eventually handed me my order without any apology for the wait. This employee's behavior was completely unacceptable, especially during dinner time, which is just shocking. I also find it personally offensive, as a former restaurant worker putting myself through college - I just can't believe customer service has gotten this shameful. I encourage you to review the footage from the restaurant as it's truly a sight to see. I believe he should be fired, because he clearly knew better and was being rude on purpose. It's important to understand that your customers are not just college students who will tolerate this kind of service. I love Cane's, but I will drive out of my way to avoid this location in the future.

It's a great burger when you need something quick and don't have the time to go sit down and pay $12 for a gourmet burger. I throw on some extra mayo and while it's a mess, it's a delicious mess. Service at this location is always pretty quick and the people who work there are nice and polite for the most part. I see my experience differs from other reviews. But really, I've never had a problem, and my food has always been hot, even when I get home (a couple miles away). I generally give out my stars based on category (ie I rate fast food differently vs. a sit down place), and for fast food they are good burgers. They aren't prefect but I like the flame broiled gimmick and they really do let you have it your way. I'm always a pain in the ass, ordering without tomatoes, extra mayo, sometimes extra cheese, and occasionally other various alterations. They always get it right. I took off a star because I don't care for their sides. Their fries are no good, the onion rings are just strange, like they took the reconstituted onions from a McDonald's cheeseburger and somehow made it into a ring, plus they're breaded and everyone knows battered onion rings are far superior, and they got rid of the cheesy tots. Other star I took off was for their hot dogs (and generally most other sandwiches which you can find better elsewhere). Tried their new hot dogs and I have to say I was less than impressed. I got one of each. The classic (ketchup, mustard, onions and sweet relish) was OK, but honestly, you can get yourself a much better one at Holiday if you are looking for a basic hot dog. The chili cheese dog is just that, chili and cheese. I ordered onions on it after reading reviews that the chili was pretty bland, and they weren't kidding. The whole thing was bland. Their hot dogs are not the big, juicy dogs you see in the commercials, they were sad, shriveled little red disasters. $4.61 for the two of them was the biggest waste of money I've probably ever spent on fast food, and that's saying a lot. I'm disappointed they quit their delivery service. I used it a few times and it was actually pretty good. The hot food was hot, the cold stuff was cold, and the delivery was fast.

So here we are, 38th and Hiawatha. Not a lot has changed over the years, except maybe more selections on tap. walking in from the corner door takes you into a dimly light bar with enough to seat about 10 to 12 patrons. You will also notice there is tons of seating options in the bar and into the second room. Further back you will find the game room with a bunch of pool tables and a couple dart boards for the gaming folks. The vibe in here is typical neighborhood bar, it is relaxed, the patrons are just your regular easy going folks, and you can easily chat up folks here...maybe discover a new drinking buddy! We came in to do a little day drinking, play some pull-tabs and eat some food. First and foremost, winning a couple hundred in pull-tabs already makes this a fun place to hang...actually it would have been fun regardless. The food fare is your standard bar food, however they do serve breakfast, and the entrees I saw people woofing down, I'd hit this place up for breakfast. We opted to order the pork tenderloin and the sour cream and onion burger. Both were served on toast; the tenderloin on whole wheat with pickles and onions (you need to ask for onions) with a sizable breaded tenderloin. If you want a side I.e. coleslaw, cottage cheese, tots, French fries you need to order with your sandwich. The burger served on pumpernickel had fried onions on it with the sour cream. If I lived on the south side, I'd certainly make this my second home.

I was able to grab one of the last few spots in the restaurant's lot across the street and also one of the last tables inside! The inside is such a vibe - fun cardinal paintings in sports theme, 90s pop (thanks to an awesome TouchTunes takeover, I assume), and plenty of TVs to catch Olympics coverage. The food was perfect bar food. I tried the wings and potato skins, which did not disappoint! I'd easily order them again, but there were also signs for so many epic deals throughout the week! I'll be back to try some more stuff!

They have burgers, hot dogs, tacos, burritos, and more, and they do have a couple of vegan and vegetarian items on their menu! I went with esquite and the vegan tacos! This was my first time having soy curls as my protein alternative for tacos, and I did enjoy the chewy texture! It came with 2 salsas on the side, which both have a little bit of a kick to them, although the salsa verde is the milder of the two. The salsas are both delicious! It is not my number 1 taco (as someone who prefers a mushroom taco), but I would definitely get it again! As for the esquite: this one had A LOT of queso cotija, but could have used a bit more chile de arbol! With that being said, esquite will always taste good, and I do love when places offer both elote and esquite! Overall takeaway is that this is a good spot open relatively late offering both Mexican and American foods and a few vegetarian/vegan options!
