Wendy's happens to be one of the few fast food franchises i enjoy. From the crispy clean lettuce on their Jr. bacon cheeseburgers to their wonderful strawberry lemonade. 9 times out of 10, I am greeted with a smiling VOICE in the driv-thru line. BUT tonight was down right rude. I pulled up to the drive-thru ordering speaker, placed my first order than asked for a second order. I waited about 5 seconds before i had to repeat myself to the speak " I would like to place a second order". I was than greeted with a " yeah, go ahead with your second order". so i placed my second order and drove up to the window. Before i handed over my debit card to the cashier i asked 'who was taking the drive-thru orders?" the same girl that was about to take my payment was the same employee who took my order, even better i asked Adriene Lopez if it was a problem that i wanted to place a second order and she quickly said "no" in a rushed tone. Adriene than continued to take other orders and handed me my card back. Once i was given all of my food, I was not told to have a nice day and EVERYONE in the KITCHEN was breaking their neck to take a look at me. UMMMM i wonder why ? Here is why, Ill break it down to you ( I worked in fast food for 3 years from the ages of 16 to 18) -I must of BUGGED Miss. Lopez by asking for a second order. Considering her tone. -Miss. Prices have gone up, they're skimping on nuggets (4 instead of 6), I paid 50 cents more for the 6 piece and ended up with 4 pieces, didn't realize it until I ate the 1st one and well, how do you prove it? and the 99 cent burgers are smaller than the sliders in most restaurants. You get more for your money at Carls Jr, or even McDonalds with their $4.99 big mac meal. Also soda is behind the counter, as God forbid someone take too many sodas, really is it that bad? I would understand were it a chain with 20 stores, but Wendy's is nationwide, and their burgers have always been a little more than the other chains, but i used to have their value deals (salad, etc) to get a lot for $5, during lunch (it adds up paying $8 or more a day for lunch at work). But now it gets very little, so there's no reason for me to come back. This review is for all their salads-- yes I've tried them all just to see if they were all worth the price. The lettuce they use is iceberg-- they don't take out the pits so you end up taking out those hard white pieces from the center of the lettuce. They don't use any other healthier green leafs. I think I saw a couple romaines. The base of the salad is he same. Because of all the toppings included in all the summer or seasonal salads, having basic lettuce doesn't seem so bad. But when you have the taco salad-- the combo of all the items they put on there makes it watery--and far from yummy. The entire container was full of lettuce, I couldn't add anything including the chili unless I took out some lettuce because it would overflow. I guess they don't realize that there's all these toppings one needs to add including a whole bowl of chili. Please fix that.. The problem is they charge $7 for a large but it's worth probably less than $4. If you're gonna charge ally for your salad, take note from other fast food places and add some healthy greens and make your salads actually worth eating. read more

This Wendy's isn't much different than the other Wendy's around LA, but this is the closest one, so I reviewed it. What Wendy's is probably famous for is their old fashioned square burgers. I mean, who makes square burgers that taste that extraordinary. They have the classic single, double, and triple. There is also a wide variety of different kinds of burgers here as well. One of the main reasons that I think me and my friends go there is because of (drum roll) The frosty!!! Such goodness packed into such a tiny little cup that will satisfy anyone with the craving for frozen yogurt. Of course there is also the 99 cents menu where I seem to order most of my stuff off of. They have such a wide variety of food in their 99 cents menu, I would have to say it has one of the best varieties to choose from. The reason this place didn't get 5 out of 5 stars is because their burgers tend to be a bit greasy when they are in a hurry. One more thing, the guy got mad at us, saying he wasnt going to serve us and called us Vulgar when we asked for a Big Ass Drink. But that was just one night, don't worry about that, he was fired later on anyways. One more thing, Dave Thomas was a good man. May he rest in peace. read more

Whoa, I thought I reviewed this place before? Hmm... perhaps it was another Wendy's. I wished this chain would have their soda dispensers out to the public rather than having to constantly ask the counter for refills. There was one time where the policy was to get a new cup each time they got a refill, which sounds ridiculous and not very green, so I'm glad that Wendy's no longer does that. I used to like this Wendy's more in the past. Most things have remained the same over the years. Same dining layout (spacious and clean) and service remains on par for the most part. My recent trip here with family revealed some store updates, things that I've seen at other chains: a wall-mounted television (which does play with volume on), with their own programming of various channels. The men's restroom now requires you to get a key from the counter, which I think is lame. I really wish they would remodel the restrooms, as there's so much empty and underutilized space there. Parking is generally never an issue. The menu is generally what you would expect. There is a side counter with condiments, utensils, and jalapenos, which is always a plus. read more

The Host was extremely rude on the speaker and when I pulled up to the window she handed my drinks I noticed it wasn't what I ordered and when she noticed I didn't move from the drive through she rolled her eyes and opened the window I told her that I had ordered the pear berry teas and she's was rude and said no you ordered the strawberry teas and i said no i ordered pear berry teas she then took the drinks from me in an incredibly rude manner; took her time in remaking them and when she handed them back i thanked her and she didn't just closed the window and walked away. Oh Wendys.....you know I love you deep down, but I've feel so betrayed! There's no better place to get salty fries that pair so well with the sweet vanilla frosty. The junior bacon cheeseburger is just small enough to be considered a snack, in case you have a couple hours before dinner, and it has enough substance to be satisfying. If you really don't feel like making your own baked potato, the potato at Wendys is perfectly acceptable and filling. And of course, the spicy chicken sandwich is nothing short of superb. So why the low rating? The last time I went through the drive thru I ordered a Dr. Pepper, because it was on the menu. But when I tasted it, I nearly spit it out all over my dashboard. I just left this location like 3 minutes ago. And never have I ever received customer services like this. Young lady working drive thru window at 8:45pm on January 3 (Friday night) was beyond thee worst employee ever to work in this location. I was being understanding with it being a Friday night and it does get busy. I work in the food industry. I get it, customers really do try you. But jeez! I didn't ask for the sass from this employee. I was asking my wife if she wanted any sauces because that's what the young lady asked me she gave me a second to answer and barked back with, "any ketchup in you bag sir?" My wife even stared back and as will did my kids because of how loud and rude she was. I personally feel like this location has one too many employees who are rude. I've received the same type of attitude from what seems to be like a manager. I believe her name is Janet or Jackie. If this a manager I really hope Wendy's improves on there choice in employees. A few months ago, I may have given this place a four, possibly a four and a half since it has distinguished itself from the other Wendy's restaurants in the area. Grant you, there is a shortage of them in the San Gabriel Valley. There is a lovely faux fireplace, big windows to let light in, TWO fancy soda dispensing machines and it just feels nice and airy. The prices problem today was the staff. To be fair, they were inundated with kids being dismissed from local schools as we came in, but it took multiple explanations to the cashier to get her to (seemingly) understand my son's order. He is a stickler who doesn't want mayonnaise or anything, for that matter, on his sandwiches. It came out but it required two more visits to the register. Three visits if you count my son's unsuccessful attempt to be understood only to be brushed off. Finally, I went up and took the matter up with the cashier, who had heard my requests several times at that point. I can only presume she was feeling overwhelmed because she said: "I don't know what you want me to do since you guys already started eating." Well, one, you can apologize and try to understand. In the end, she did the next best thing and possibly the inevitable step two anyway: She asked for a supervisor to hear me out. The supervisor acted like she understood too but the sandwich came out with a leaf of iceberg lettuce in the bun. We could work with that, and at least the supervisor was courteous. Since there aren't many Wendy's around, I suspect we will be back. But I hope isn't as loud, chaotic and disappointing the next time around. read more

Everybody has a "guilty pleasure" fast food chain. If I had grown up on the west coast it might be different, but I'm an east coast gal -- for me it's Wendy's. About once a month I drive out to Monrovia to get a Wendy's chicken sandwich. Hot, soft bun, crispy, and a nice thick chicken breast - not cut in half or a giant chicken nugget. I love their fries -- a bit thicker than other chains, with the skins, and just the right amount of salt for me. Yellow mustard on the side for French fry dipping, and I'm a happy girl. Within the last week or two they have finished their complete renovation of the building. Schmancy-looking decor, a pseudo fireplace in the corner, two places for seating of large groups. They have those new-fangled soda machines where you use a touchscreen interface to pick one of 30 or so sodas. And when you order now, they give you a number, you go to your table, and a ridiculously friendly server brings your food out to you. There is even a nice looking outside seating area. I will happily continue my monthly pilgrimages here for my fast good fix. read more
