Went thru the drive thru and ordered a chili and garlic fry; they gave us an entirely different order. And no straw for our drink.

It is my first time to Morehead, Kentucky. Absolutely beautiful place!…read moreMy son said I "needed" to try Cook Out before I left. I must tell you, there is massive hype surrounding this drive-thru only restaurant. For the college kid on a budget I totally get it. However, I was not totally on board as we rolled to a stop at one of the two drive thru lanes. It was pretty hard for me to hear and understand the person on the intercom. They have Mr Pibb but not Dr Pepper. Let me say here that Mr Pibb was a drink whose recipe was surely invented by the Soviets during the Cold War in order to create chaos an unrest in the US. I just got a coke. I ordered a "tray", with a double burger on the advice of my more worldly, athlete son. He went the distance and ordered the same, but in a special way ( I think it might have been "cookout style"?). Anyway, it came with chili and slaw... on the burger. Again, under his advisement , I ordered the hush puppies as a side, and I saw they had Cajun Fries, so I thought I would try them. My one regret is that I did not try one of the 45 shakes on the menu. I was not super hungry and I just couldn't justify buying one. The food was ready, fresh, and hot in a matter of about three minutes! A friendly efficient young lady passed it through the window to us and took our payment. I was pretty impressed at their operation as far as that went. My son's order was correct but I think they might've given me a junior burger or something? It turned out it was fine because there was quite a bit of food there. Hush puppies were in fact pretty good. The "Cajun Fries" were just crinkle cut fries with some kind of spicy, salty powder sprinkled on them after they put the fries in the styrofoam container. The tiny burger was tasty, and the burgers taste like they are flame broiled. Pretty good! Overall, the food was pretty good. My experience would've been a lot better if the intercom and order taker had been little bit better, so keep that in mind if you go here. The drive-through only business is not for me, but for college kids and people who just want to get something to eat on the way home I think it's fine. I can't recommend the shakes because I didn't try one but they all sounded really good.

One of my local (Morehead) favorites, especially in the summer. The food truly reminds me of summer…read moretime backyard cookouts (something that sadly has become more of my past than my present). I love ending summer days with a hamburger and hotdog (don't judge me). It is a great away to add a little "summer" to winter days. A "cookout" for dinner when the temps are cold is a great way to break the winter doldrums.

Excellent Fazoli's location…read more Clean, friendly employees, and tasty food! The employees made sure you were served well, and that we had everything we needed. Going the extra mile to be extra hospitable.

I find myself genuinely conflicted when writing this review…read more On one hand, the food was exactly what you would hope for from a fast-casual Italian restaurant. It arrived quickly, was fresh, flavorful, and prepared well. From a food standpoint, there is very little to criticize. Unfortunately, dining out is about more than the food. Throughout our visit, employees in the back of the house made audible comments about customers coming in before closing. Their remarks could be heard clearly throughout the dining room and left little doubt that our presence was viewed as an inconvenience. While I could have easily brushed those comments off, the situation affected my young daughter, who had been excited all day to go out to dinner with her dad. Watching that excitement turn into disappointment was genuinely upsetting. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we were not the only customers subjected to it. A couple who came in after us ultimately chose to eat outside after hearing the comments, and a group of softball players arrived shortly afterward as well. This is Fazoli's, a quick-service restaurant, not a fine-dining establishment where guests linger for hours. We ordered, enjoyed our meal, cleaned up after ourselves, and were out the door by 9:20 p.m.--a full 40 minutes before closing. We did not create extra work, make unusual requests, or interfere with the staff's closing routine in any way. As a customer, it is difficult to understand what offense was committed by simply dining during posted business hours. Restaurants have every right to establish their operating schedule, but guests should never be made to feel unwelcome for patronizing a business while it is still open. The unfortunate reality is that the food was good. Had the experience been judged solely on what was served, this review would look very different. Instead, what should have been a simple father-daughter dinner became an evening overshadowed by an atmosphere that made customers feel like a burden rather than welcomed guests. If you're considering a late-evening visit, particularly after 9 p.m. on a weekend, I would recommend ordering takeout or choosing another option. The food may satisfy, but based on this experience, the hospitality left a great deal to be desired.

Nice! They did have breakfast sandwiches. I had an everything bagel with egg, cheese and sausage. My wife had a scone with egg and cheese. We added coffee. The pizza was surprisingly decent, and I have to say it arrived at lightning speed. When I say it was ready in minutes, I mean MINUTES. If there had been a stopwatch involved, I suspect the pizza would have won. The highlight of the visit was Anthony, who was tending bar. He was an absolute gem. Friendly, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable to talk with. The conversation alone made the stop worthwhile, and I would gladly come back just to sit at the bar and chat with him again. The sweet tea was fantastic, which, from what I've learned while visiting Kentucky, is a fairly serious category of competition. For dessert, I had a warm cinnamon pretzel topped with ice cream, and it was outstanding. If you're debating whether to order dessert, stop debating and just do it. One thing I've noticed about restaurants in Kentucky is that they appear to believe air conditioning is both a utility and a competitive sport. If you're visiting from out of town, consider bringing a sweater or dressing in layers. The dining room was cool enough that I briefly wondered whether I should have ordered hot chocolate. Will I be back? Maybe. If I return, I'll probably do the sensible thing and try one of the burgers that everyone keeps raving about. Until then, Fat Patty's gets credit for great service, excellent sweet tea, a fantastic dessert, and for reminding me that sometimes the best part of a meal is the people you meet along the way.

Seems they had an all day festival starting with a 5k , that we missed, and everyone had just left. We sat at the bar front&center to the TV and still had to raise our handwork service. This place maybe good during the school year as a hang out but our experience was disappointing.
