It was still too early to settle in for the night at the Cracker Barrel next door. I travel in an RV and often rely on Cracker Barrel for overnight parking. It is a dependable option, but this time I had arrived ahead of schedule. Rather than loiter in the lot, I decided to drive over here for a cheeseburger and a chance to connect to wifi. The dining area was mostly clean. A few tables could have used a quick wipe, but there was no visible trash or mess. Unfortunately, the only electrical outlet in the room was positioned far from any seating. That made it impossible to plug in without awkwardly hovering nearby. The wifi was also disappointingly slow, barely usable for anything beyond checking email. The background music was a religious talk station on XM, which I suspect is chosen to discourage lingering. I managed to tune it out with my earbuds, but it added to the sense that guests are not expected to stay long. On the bright side, the burger came out quickly and the modifications I requested through the app were followed exactly. I appreciated that attention to detail. I stayed for about an hour without interruption. No one rushed me, and the staff kept to themselves. It was not a perfect stop, but it served its purpose. Waited to come here for three years and I finally made it! Despite the fact that the workers were brawling again food was delivered in a quick and professional manner. My uncle ordered the steak gorilla biscuit and it was served cold but he enjoyed it nonetheless! I had to break up the workers to get my steak but it was grand. 1/18/26 1 pm we eat here about 3 times a month and the food is "almost" always good BUT: many times the ketchup dispensers are MT or the drink station is out of something or everything or "we dont have lettuce". Today it was cold and raining, so I ordered a large HOT coffee, but I was handed a slightly warm coffee. Most of the employees are very loud when "working", and they really don't appreciate customers interrupting their socializing. Someone should teach them how to load a napkin dispenser! Lazy lazy lazy. Good employees don't stay very long. I don't know who the owners are, but they should be embarrassed, and so should corporate. Maybe the owners don't know that the Hot Coffee on the menu should be hot, or that the napkins loaded upside down are harder to get out, or that the drink machine with hundreds of combinations should have the syrup to make a few or that the bun on the burger should be warm or the 2 ketchup dispensers should have a ketchup pouch in them or the customers don't want to hear about the employees personal lives! Wendy's on Palmer Grace Rd. In Okatie is lacking big time in service. Pulled up to drive thru today at 4pm. No cars in parking lot. Waited in the drive thru for 7 mins. without getting a response. Finally pulled up to window and 2 female employees saw me but totally ignore me. Parked my car, went inside and there were no customers but 5 employees standing around. When I questioned why I didn't get any help in drive thru, I was told they were busy, but again, no customer in restaurant. We've never had great service at this Wendy's but this time it was almost like they just didn't want to be bothered. I'd like to give them our business but #Wendy's needs to do better. read more

These people are horrible! Make sure you check your order! They give you multiple bags and you must count your sandwiches & ensure your order is complete. They'll give you a drink without a straw. If you ask for a certain dressing for a salad, they'll give you whatever THEY want to give, or forget the nuts for salad. If I could give a 0 rating I would. This place is a great example of what our schools today are producing. And their parents didn't teach them anything either. I went in for lunch and got the $5 biggie bag. It was a good bargain and the food was what I would expect at Wendy's. Employees seemed nice, with one greeting me and saying someone would be with me in a moment. The last few times the cashier at the first window has been fine, but every time the person handing me my food is somewhere between disinterested and rude. He looked completely disgusted and then started handing me the 3 drinks I ordered. Horrible experience. I ordered through the app, 2 Dave Singles, 2 French fries and a large chili. When we were given our order, the chili was missing and we had an extra fry. I let the girl know and no apology, nothing. She seemed annoyed that I asked for my chili. When we arrived to our hotel to eat our meal, our singles had cheese, tomato and ketchup, nothing else and our chili container was half full. Every time I come to this Wendy's I have a good experience. The staff is friendly and they always get my order correct. Today was no exception. I ordered two 4 for $4 meals. On one of the sandwiches I ordered it plain and on the other sandwich I ordered no cheese. Both of those sandwiches were made correctly which was so nice. Found the drive thru first cashier with the head down the counter like she was asleep. She was barely awake when I got to her. Part of my meal I asked for a large Coke no ice and they hand me a Coke with ice. The drink tasted like a water down syrup and i asked for a new one without ice. The manager hand me a new large Coke with ice and did not fix the problem. So if somebody orders bacon Nader fries how do you expect them to eat it, with their fingers? The high school kids were more worried about making jokes and having a good time versus making quality food and making the customers happy. The first time I went, I asked for sprite and got very sweet tea; not a huge deal, but still got it wrong. went through the drive through with my parents because the inside was closed. i understand people are short staffed (trust me i know.) so we are patient. when we ordered we each asked for two sauces each , so a total of 6. we got our food and realized we had no sauce so we asked the woman at the window for some. she said "it's in there" and shut the window in our face. we already paid for the 6 sauces (because i saw it on the window screen) but she never even gave us a receipt. so instead of waiting in that long drive through line again for just sauce , i go in. when i walk up to the counter the woman says "WHAT DO YOU WANT" in a very mean tone. i said i need some sauce because we never got any and we paid for 6. she then said "nah you actually only paid for two." first of all , she didnt even know that because she never gave us a receipt and i SAW us being charged on the screen and i literally watched us pay for them. so i had to pay for them all over again. i walked back to the car , got cash and just gave them money for the sauce i already bought that was apparently "in the bag." i understand mistakes happen and THATS OKAY !!! but it is NOT okay to treat people with meanness and rudeness. i would never recommend this location to anyone. the negativity radiating from the employees is disturbing. go somewhere else. read more
