What Happened? Over the last few years, the Petoskey Wendys has been outstanding on all levels. Arguably the best fast food in the area. The last four trips have left a lot to be desired. Less than hot, less than fresh and slopily made items(Sandwiches). Service is slow and the window people are obviously less friendly. Every aspect that made this location special is gone. Daniel was exceptionally good at his job. Grrat tone of voice, amazing customer service, and an all around pleasing attitude. Daniel was backed by a rather unfortunaye group of individuals that messed up our order. I will go as far as saying they didn't even give us the right order. Daniel great job. Wendy's do better. We just went through the drive through and the guy taking our order was beyond friendly and happily adjusted our order twice when we had made changes. The manager who gave us our food was also extremely helpful and went to find all the different dressing options when they said they didn't have Italian. Then he said it was his honor. I honestly usually don't eat a bunch of fast food but I haven't felt like eating out at restaurants while I'm visiting here from Texas. I for sure never thought I would be writing reviews on fast food restaurants here but my two visits to the Drive thru here may have been the best fast food experiences I have ever had. 9 cars I was through in 2 minutes and the quality of the food was perfect. I went to another fast food restaurant in town while here too and that service and food quality was amazing too. Maybe they are paying their workers more than other areas of the country I don't know but the speed arrive and quality here for a fast food place was absurdly good. Kudos. read more

They must pay their workers more than the typical fast food wages here. If not, perhaps it's just a standup group of hardworking, professional individuals. Nonetheless, I've never had a better experience in a drive through restaurant in my life. Foods always good and someplace I like to go after work because it's fast and easy. Recently there has been an employee working in the drive thru who in general has made me lose my appetite. I have seen her on her phone eating in front of customers while working and touching her nose ( nose piercings) and face. Only have seen her a couple of times and the last time I went In and saw her working I just ordered a drink and left. read more

I never thought I'd yelp a fast food restaurant but I've been going to this Wendy's for as long as it's been open and not once have i had a experience less than 100% extraordinary. I don't usually review fast food places, because it is what it is.. but this Wendy's is straight up SHADY. I Will NEVER come thru this wendy's again, even though their food is *usually* always correct and fresh and let me tell you why... First off, I paid for my order and then the worker threw my food at me and then promptly slammed the drivethru door..okay rude but whatever, I've dealt with worse. I get home and realize sometime later that I cannot find my debit card that I had JUST had in the drive thru line, so I call up there and ask if they forgot to give it back to me.. yep! They say they have it and they will put it in the safe for me.. sounds reasonable enough. The problem lies when I went to go pick up my debit card. I get to the window, I tell them I didn't get my debit card back yesterday and it's in the back safe, go get it. The young man at the window picks up a random debit card from next to his machine and says "this?" And hands it to me, I told him no that is not my card but it's off putting that you would just hand me a card without asking for the last 4 digits and/or any identification, etc. Enter in "manager" who gets the right card from the back, and just hands it to me.. still no questions or any other identifying information about me, just hands me the card. Granted it WAS my card but....how would he know that? I asked him "well what if I would have said that first card was mine, would you have just given it to me?!?!" And he says "no I'd ask you for your ID" but like... YOU JUST GAVE ME A CARD (yes, my card but still) WITHOUT ASKING FOR ANY INFORMATION AND I LITERALLY JUST HAD ANOTHER CARD IN MY HAND THAT WASN'T MINE THAT I COULD HAVE STOLEN. Somebody else's card, somebody that was just trying to get some Wendy's, just like me, and they didn't get their card back either... that could have just as easily been my card that they were just handing out the window all willy nilly. They were just going to GIVE it to me with no questions asked other than I said "y'all stole my card yesterday and was told I could pick it up today." So beware when you're buying Wendy's from this location, make sure they give you back your debit cards, because ya never know, they just might give it away to any random customer and that is terrifying. read more

This place doesn't even deserve any kind of rating. We just ordered 2 regular cheese burgers with extra pickle and 2 medium fries. Got back to the room the burgers were greasy and cold, we were told they just made fresh fries. NOT we were short a fry and they were cold. I couldn't be bothered to go back, but it pissed me off. Unless you check your order before leaving window in these places it's usually wrong. The guy at the window was super friendly and nice and he was the one that said we were getting fresh hot fry's. I know it's a fast food place but it doesn't have to be that gross. Iam now over going to any fast food Wendy's restaurant in Petoskey and also the Applebee's food totally sucked. read more

Tonight, I went through the drive through to pick up something quick to eat. I pulled up to the monitor and heard the word "Wait" but was unsure if it was for me. There were two vehicles in front of me and both of them were served and left. Then all of a sudden I hear, "Is everything all right?" I tell the person that I heard them say wait and was waiting for them to get back to me. Then I asked if I could give my order and they said go ahead with your order. I came to the window and she gave me the total and took my card and gave it back with nothing else said. The person handing the food also said nothing. When I got hopme, there was no receipt for me to go online to complain so I'm doing it here. At least acknowledge you had equipment issues rather than blame the customer. Food was good. read more

I've always been one to be easy going on restaurant staff but these guys are awful. They roll your eyes when you make sure your name is spelled correctly, they can't take an order with any type of modifications done and as if we needed a cherry on top their main cashier has more attitude than any one person deserves to have to deal with especially when paying to be there. read more

Literally the worst experience ever. I rarely eat fast food to begin with so on the rare occasion that I do go I tend to set the bar a little high...but this was bad. Both mine and my sisters #8 were clearly old AF. They were downright cold! And I asked for no bacon on mine and it was clear there WAS bacon prior to ordering and it was just removed off these old sandwiches. And I asked for fries crispy and yet my order was ready in less than 20 seconds. Clearly not crispy. I will never return. This place is garbage. read more

Worst ever... "Patty" a women at the register, messed up our order and made us pay for it to be correct. They wouldn't even hire her at the Chum Bucket... She practically called my mother a liar. She was disrespectful to other employees as well. Even The other employees said that she was in the wrong. read more

I went through the drive through my car ordered two frosty's one small and one large on separate bills. When we got to the window I was given the large frosty and a receipt for a large but the women told me it was the cost of the small. They took the money and in change I was given what it would cost for a small. Next I was handed a small and told the cost of the large. She took the card when she returned it she closed the Window immediately. I sat there for another 30 seconds until a different employee asked if I needed anything else. I asked for my receipt because I was confused about how we were charged . We had to pull around and go inside to clarify to make sure that We were charged correct. After clarifying we were charged correct and our order was correct but it was such a simple task to get wrong. It took us 10mins to get two frosty's. Not happy with the service tonight at all. read more

This is the most attractive Wendy's I have been to. Workers were friendly. Food was fast, hot, and tasty. Definitely will be back.

This Wendys rocks, the Drive Thur is very fast most of the time and friendly. I sometimes get a mistake but nothing to be up set about. I can toss the onions out the window going down the road. People make mistakes -its only food. The Dinning Room is better than most fine dinning places, even has very nice candles. You can tell this is owned by someone in town. No corporate ways here, they work very hard to keep it clean and nice. Heck they don't even serve Coke, Its nice to get Pepsi of a change of pace. I like both Pepsi and Coke but having a nice MT Dew is good change of pace. Lots of nice little things you don't see in other fast food places. read more

The Petoskey Wendys is the nicest and most beautifully decorated I've ever seen. You can tell the owner and staff take a lot of pride in the restaurant. There were nice silk fall mums on all the tables and two large urns of fall appropriate flowers. We stopped while taking our fall color tour. Had to make a note, because I was very impressed. I overheard manager/supervisor telling the staff they did a good job today. Very. Very nice!!! read more
