Wendy's isn't particularly known for fast service- I think it's just the business model of the cashier also being the one who assembled the food. Regardless, this one is pretty quick, which is great since it's close to Missouri Science & Technology (MS&T) and gets a lot of student business making it busy. They have two Freestyle Coke machines, and when you get stuck behind someone who has no idea how they work and then needs to look at *every* GD option, that can be frustrating, but at least they have two of them! There's a woman who walks around the dining room collecting trays, wiping tables, and generally keeping it clean. However, she seems more concerned about telling you about the survey on the back (and telling you it will work on items it won't) than actually wiping all of the table clean. I used to work here, and I can say that they care very much about how fast they're able to serve the drive thru. They're expected to have the drive thru helped in under 2 minutes. that's from the moment they pull up to the speaker to order to the moment they leave the drive thru. The dinning room is always clean and well kept, same for the bathrooms. The soda machines in the lobby are also clean. But all of the workers there are overworked. I used to work 8-9 hours without sitting down, or receiving a break, or even getting to eat. They stray away from quality when speed is the only thing that matters. I usually don't go to Wendy's anymore, I usually doordash my orders. I am more often disappointed than not. Fries always come half empty and my burgers miss ingredients sometimes. Don't bother eating here if you have allergies!! Ordered dinner tonight including a large coke. Asked the worker if it was regular coke and not the diet one as I have an allergy to artificial sweeteners, and was assured that it was regular. Got home and took a couple of drinks and noticed that my soda was watered down tasting. my husband went inside to get us breakfast and bring home for us to eat, he was the only customer inside, 1 car in drive thru, 5 employees, the worker that took his order acted like she didn't want to be there, he placed his order, he waited almost 10 minutes to get 1 order biscuits and gravy, and 1 sausage biscuit sandwich. he was the only one standing there waiting, she calls his name Real Loud! anyway he gets home the biscuits and gravy had a small amount of gravy right in the middle, both ends of biscuit was dry. This was probably our worst experience at a Wendy's that I can remember. We went in because the drive thru was backed up and still ended up waiting for our order a little over 20 minutes. We made the mistake of assuming after waiting so long that the order would be correct and didn't check. After getting in the car we found my jalapeño cheese chicken sandwich was actually a basic double cheeseburger and the bacon cheeseburger was a basic burger with only lettuce... When I had arrived at Wendy's I thought it was going to be a long wait but got my food within 5 minutes of ordering. I had ask for 4 piece chicken nugget, a medium fried, a large soda and a double hamburger only ketchup mustard and pickle I had to repeat what was on my burger 5 times. The first time I had gotten my food my burger had cheese on it and when I had to bring it up I had to repeat 2 time what I had wanted on my burger, the second time I got my burger way too much sauce (got all on me) and the top bun was hard as a rock and the bottom bun was soggy and last but not least my hamburger was raw. read more

Old fashioned hamburgers, new-fashioned service. And by new-fashioned, I mean the really bad kind, with managers that don't know what they're doing, teenagers that don't pay attention to their jobs and spend too much time fraternizing with their friends coming into the store... and it's a place where your order is usually wrong. So many bad things I can say about Wendy's lately (the past several we've been to, we've had similar experiences), but this one I think takes the cake-of-crap. We came in the door, there were only 4 people in front of us, but the people at the front of the line were either employees that were there on their day off, or friends of those that were working the register (and only one register was open), because they stood there and chatted it up with each other, while actual customers were waiting. When it finally got to be our turn, we got to order with the same person, who was no longer friendly. As we were ordering, some more people who were friends with those working came up and said hey to the manager, who went to the OTHER register and proceeded to open it up just for them to order. Anyway, by the time we got our food and sat down, my wife's order was wrong (it was only the chicken sandwich with mayo), and when I went up there to correct the order (to have them put the rest of the toppings on it; a simple procedure of opening the sandwich and... putting the rest of the toppings on it), the employee threw the sandwich away and we had to wait for 10 minutes while they apparently went out back and killed a few more fake chickens. When we got the corrected sandwich, it had EVERYTHING on it... even stuff you're not supposed to get on that chicken sandwich. We bit the bullet, counted our losses, and left. The Wendy's in Rolla is actually a lot better than most I've seen across America, The interior is very warming and inviting while the staff is kind. I ordered a number 1 combo (1/4 pound beef burger) at this Wendy's and it was served perfectly to my expectations. The burger had everything you'd expect on one and the taste was actually very good! I feel that the service could improve in some aspects such as instead of addressing orders on names, just give a random number because they always get my name wrong (Calling me Mark). It wasn't all too busy when I visited, but there is enough seating in there to host a sizeable amount of people. The general environment was clean, No dirtiness on the tables or leftovers from other guests. I felt that the fellow behind the register was quite new and they spoke very quietly so it was difficult to understand what they were asking. If you like Wendy's and are in the area, this Wendy's is worth visiting. All my food was well presented and served hot and fresh. I wouldn't normally waste my time rating fast food but the Wendy's in Rolla stands above the rest. They were rated in the top 15 Wendy's in the country. The food is served hot, the service is faster than any other fast food place I've ever been to, and I've eaten there at least 100 times. The building is new, clean, and a pleasant place to eat. I can't give 5 stars for fast food but I think 4 stars is a great rating for this type of restaurant. read more

We always drive through Rolla on our way to Lake Norfork, obviously we hit up Wendy's. The food is always fresh and delicious. The only complaint I have is from our visit today. Sarah was working the drive-thru and I had ordered a Frosty along with some food. I usually eat here late at night. I like their new pretzle burger and that it what I got last time. The food is usually hot and fresh but the burger was and usually is dripping with grease. The other big problem I have is that they always skimp on the fries. I always order a large fry and they barely fill the container half way. This always happens. I don't know why it is but when I get home I am not happy. They need to fix this problem before I can recommend them better than A-OK. read more

Raw food. Fries limp and under cooked but worse yet the bacon was not even cooked. It was still raw to the point the fat was still pure white. Was told we bake it and set a timer. Well when you bake something and it is not done when the timer goes off put it back in for longer. Poor management! Unfortunately, the order taker in the drive through did not hear my request for "plain" sandwiches, as I am allergic to mayo.
