If you have never visited a Wendy's then... that's creepy. The have one of the best fast food burgers out of the big chains in my opinion. This particular Wendy's looks new or renovated. It was clean inside including the bathrooms. I appreciate that they weren't locked. I understand the struggle of keeping a downtown fast food place clean. I appreciate their work. In regards to Wendy's restaurant on redwood road and close to 7200 south, west Jordan Utah. I went there twice, each time in the morning around 1130am. All I wanted was some coffee and cream. The coffee was fine. Here's the complaint. Why did the same girl working both times ask me if I wanted my change back? It was only only a few cents but to ask a paying customer if they wanted their change is beyond ridiculous. First of all, Wendys is a billion dollar company. So we got what we ordered just fine but everything was cold. Not even a tiny warm just flat out cold to the touch. We also got an extra chicken wrap which we didn't order so not sure whose it was but when your food is cold it's a big turn off. Literally the worst. I ordered two burgers, a sandwich, some nuggets, fries, and a Wendy's frosty. I then proceeded to drive home with what I thought was my full order, only to find the chicken sandwich missing from my bag once I reached my house. I then tried calling the phone number for this Wendy's location, just to get the answering machine. After I was unable to reach anyone via phone, I then drove back to this Wendy's in hopes that they would right this wrong and provide me with the sandwich purchased. Instead, they proceeded to tell me that they were unable to facilitate a replacement, and that they "knew for a fact" that they had put my chicken sandwich in the bag. After some back and forth with the gentleman at the drive through, we gave up and decided to go home. I was basically refused a replacement sandwhich, and was cheated out of the money spent on this item. We went to this location and it took forever to order, they forgot my order then tried to give me someone else's order, we did check the bag to make sure. The girl at the window probably have an opened mobile order to someone since of course we did open to check it, that's not save or sanitary. They never gave me my receipt so I can't even go back to fix it. When we got home the jr bacon cheese burgers were just bacon and buns, there's wasn't much of a burger. The chicken sandwich we bought was supposed to have been a spicy crispy chicken sandwich, they gave me a grilled chicken that was ice cold and looked gray, with ice cold fries. After about a 7-8 min. wait, we were finally able to order and right before we finished ordering, a DoorDash driver pulled right in front of us and we had to wait another 10 mins. for him to receive his order... Nonetheless, when we arrived at the window to collect our food, our order was full of cold burgers and soggy, limp fries... They also do NOT give a receipt, so you cant return items or complain. This is the worst Wendy's location in Salt Lake City. I had already not ordered there in over a year due to poor quality and incorrect orders. Against my better judgement on the way back from the airport I decided to try again. 6 breakfast sandwiches for the family: 2 honey butter chicken, 2 sausage and egg, 2 bacon and egg, repeated three times. Actual order = 5 bacon and egg and one chicken! All of them looked equally as bad, flat and gross. I just threw them all in the trash. This location needs to be shut down. The workers truly seemed like they did not care about the customer. They took their time getting people's order in the drive thru. There are many fast food places in the vicinity. Due to the railway tracks down the middle of the road, you'll probably have to drive past it and then make a U-turn to get to it. The young gal behind the register was really good at putting on her make-up, but after noting that I was going to DINE IN, she readied my meal for TAKE-OUT. Sometimes the burgers are really good at this location. That's why I gave it two stars. Yesterday evening I stopped here and it was really good and juicy. However, today was more normal. Supper dry burger. Almost burnt! Chilly was all broth and a few undercooked beans. Worst yet was that the dining area had so many flies buzzing around that you couldn't even try to eat your burger. Every now and then I give this place a try thinking that "It has to get better if it's going to stay here". Yesterday I was impressed. Sadly, today it was back to normal. Can I give this location No Stars? Last time I was here, approximately 3 weeks ago I had an equally poor visit with less than Wendy's quality product. I waited until now to visit again and now I cannot hold my tongue. Customer Service was the worst. The lady would reach for payment with her head turned in the opposite direction then handing the change was the same. No smile, no welcome or hello... it was more like we were impeding in her life and she didn't was to be pleasant or acknowledge our presence. And isn't it against health code to have a lip piercing while serving/preparation of food? Food... pecan salad is supposed to have pecans, right. Not today. My wife's salad (other than the awol pecans) was good. At least she didn't complain. I ordered a home style chicken sandwich and an order of chicken nuggets. I'll post the photos. The nuggets were old. Like meat on the inside was crunchy, old. Two were fused together and looking mighty sick and elderly for any type of food. The sandwich... dried out. Is chicken supposed to be wrinkled? The tomato, it was pink-ish. Certainly not as fresh as expected. Ok, now a little about me. I am a General Manager for a national truck stop chain, so I know that things will never be perfect. BUT, I would never ever let any of my employees even once think that this kind of service and this level of, let's just say poor quality product be available to anywhere but the waste basket. About two bites and I tossed it in the trash. Fries were cold, limp and with the distinct odor of really REALLY, old oil. Couldn't eat a single one. Ice tea, well, the best part but I'm guessing, brewed sometime this morning. The first clue should have been how quickly I went from placing the order to it ending up in my car - just about 15 seconds. I pay one server, another hands me the bag, says "thank you" and slams the window shut. My change would have been good and even better, change with my ice tea. I guess the fact that I didn't drive off clued them in. I got my change and my ice tea, but, if anything, the server seemed like he was completely put off by doing this simple task.
