Typical fast food spot. The fries are consistently hot and the burgers are always good. I think Wendy's was always a top contender in the chicken sandwiche war. The $2 chicken patty is completely different than the $6 chicken patty btw! They have really good breakfast. Their breakfast seasoned potatoes are waaaaaaaay better than any hash brown. And their breakfast sandwiches can hold their own. As a spicy gal, I was happy to see the new jalapeño menu. The jalapeño sausage biscuit was scrumptious. Service has been good and bad depending on the staff. During my latest stop, the employees were solid. Issues I've had in the past were the location not giving us everything we ordered but that could happen anywhere else. Atmosphere is decent depending on the time of day and also if any rowdy local homeless people enter the restaurant. Overall, this is a place where you can go to get a decent order. That being said, my experience was terrible and I plan to never go back. When did fast food become so low quality and expensive at the same time? Or could it be that I had much lower expectations a decade ago about what I ate? I dunno but when I ordered: Medium Frosty: this cup was tiny. It still tastes like the frosty from years ago but not worth the $2.49 they charge for a medium. Large Fries $3.99: on the bottom of the totem pole in the French Fries hierarchy. I'd take all the other fast food fries over Wendy's except In n Out. Jr bacon cheeseburger $2.49: This burger was bread and mayonnaise with a little soggy fatty piece of bacon and a patty so small it would have Clara Peller rise from her grave and scream "Where's the beef!" She is turning in her grave at what Wendy's has become. Crispy Chicken sandwich: if someone ever gave me one of these to eat again, I'd ball it up and shoot it towards a garbage can and yell "Steph Curry!" I was in the area and wanted Wendy's! This was the closest one so I decided to go to it. Surprisingly, this Wendy's was busier than I expected. I live in San Ramon and that Wendy's is pretty dead - the indoor dining is not even open due to staffing. It looks like this location has indoor dining. I came here thinking the drive thru would be fast but the line was longer than I expected. It probably would have been quicker to go inside. Overall, once it was my turn, service is easy and quick. I already ordered through the app so I selected drive thru as my option. I did find my fries overly salty though, and I love Wendy's fries!!! My family went there around 10pm the latest and once we ordered we obviously pulled up through the drive through to the second window. This lady gave us our order and our drinks with the rudest Attitude, then once we kindly asked for some sauces she threw them through the window. We were pretty upset but didn't say anything. Then we looked in our bags to make sure we got everything, and they forgot more then half our order. We then tried to enter through the door to ask if they could give us the rest of the order or give us our money back. They refused to open the door because they've messed up several orders before ours. Since moving to the East Bay, this place has become my go-to fast food. I always use the drive thru and the service is fast and efficient. The quality of the food I order is always hot and fresh. Particularly, the beef is always good--it actually tastes like beef. The tomatoes actually have the texture and flavor of a tomato I just picked from my garden. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the entrance to enter is inconvenient and I always have to make a U-turn to get in. read more

I've lived in this community for 22 years and with the recent addition of non-English speaking cashiers at the drive-through, this is a horrible place to try and get served food. I usually leave this city and go over to Castro Valley to avoid dealing with the rude, lazy workers in San Leandro. Due to this language barrier, this cashier got mad and argued with me over me asking for "only mayonnaise" on my sandwich. I repeated this 3 times. When I get to the window, he cancelled my order because he was upset. He yelled at me, "Why didn't you answer me?" I did...answer him! I just sat there for 3 minutes and no other customer drove up behind me. In that time span he never came back to the window to help me. This is rare for this Wendy's, it's probably because they're treating customers like crap. I'm sure management wouldn't like this type of customer service. Ate there about 7pm Sept. 3. Lazy staff with a bad attitude tops the list of what's wrong with this Wendy's. The guy who took our orders got the flavor of the frosty wrong and then argued when it was taken back. All of our fries were overcooked and had an off-putting sweetness as if they were bad sweet potatoes. As this was my first time having Wendy's new style of fries, I can only say, what were they thinking. Their original fries were so much better. The southwest avocado salad dressing was watery and tasted terrible and the salad in general was bland. We chose to just throw most of the fries and salad away. The tables were poorly cleaned, with garbage not cleaned up and food stains visible. The ketchup dispenser was empty and the same guy reacted angrily at being advised. The bathrooms used tokens, yet he only had one left for our group of four. As we didn't finish all at the same time and one had an urgent need to go, this was extremely inconvenient. What does it take to have tokens available for paying customers? Also, if you like to meet the local street people and druggies, this location appears to attract them. Whoever owns and manages this franchise should be fired, along with the current staff. Try training staff properly next time and put the business in the hands of people who know what their doing. read more

Ok. I don't usually do Wendy's. Reason being.... they put Mayonnaise on their burgers. Fastfood joints that do are usually so assembly line in their food prep that everything comes out the same no matter what. So when I go to one of those places I order the burger dry. Because for some reason when you order no slimy white stuff, someone always adds extra something else wet to make sure you get extra bit of disgusting wet bun. So today my office mates made a trip there and I ordered a burger. Even specified "no mayo, no mustard, no ketchup AND no catsup!" Guess what I got ? Slimy snot sauce.. extra ketchup ( don't think Wendy's even does mustard) and a bun that was wetter than Seattle. Why? Someone can't read? Someone doesn't care? More like someone figures wherever got what they gave will eat it anyway. But hey. I'm one of the millions of customers who got Wendy's today.
