We ordered two panko fish sandwiches only @ the drive thru... they werent cheap either over $8 each. Total bill was almost $18 just for the 2 sandwiches. We were surprised how quickly our order was ready... only 10 seconds after paying! That made us suspicious the fish was cooked earlier and sitting under a heat lamp. When we opened the paper wrappers and saw the fish filet our suspicions were confirmed!...this had to be the driest, hardest, thinnest, saltiest not to mention most tasteless fish portion we've ever eaten...anywhere.... it was the most expensive for sure. This was probably my worst experience at a Wendy's ever. I would've been better off getting a premade sandwich from a gas station. First, anything that had maple butter on it, was dripping out like the last bottle they were using always expiring that day. WAY too much, even on just a regular biscuit. Second, the Cinnabon cup was like it had been left out on the counter for a week and then quickly microwaved to heat it up. VERY dry and the whole thing came out of the cup as a solid piece. Visited this Wendy's while taking a break from hiking the PCT. The burgers were great (I got the triple after burning 4000 calories hiking), fries hot, and free refills on soda. Employees were super nice and efficient with my order. Only area of improvement is clean tables. Overall the place is clean, but it's frustrating to not get a clean table or even see them getting wiped down during the time I was dining. Please do better here Wendy's. This is a great location, definitely recommend this for hikers or anyone passing through Tehachapi versus much spendier nearby places. read more

This Wendy's has decided to NOT serve the standard fare. There are no kid's meals posted, no promotions, and worst of all NO customer service. Have been traveling troughout the southwest, stopping at Pilots (yes, we're Good Sam/Pilot members) and Wendy's everywhere. Not a single time was my request for chili instead of fries denied EXCEPT FOR HERE! And, manager Annabelle said, "too bad, that's our policy" (basically, I don't give a rat's patooty). The most disappointing food I have ever tasted at a fast food restaurant. on all five sticks both ends were burnt to a crisp and the toast in the middle was on cooked raw dough. I just left this place the inside is nice and well kept. My order is there a new jalapeno popper chicken sandwich and it was a complete waste of money. The sandwiche is $8 and it's pretty small and it doesn't taste great at all. It should disqualify them from the chicken sandwich war. I was so upset I was actually going to go ask for a refund I was too embarrassed so I decided to just leave a review.
