The reason I do mobile orders for fast food is because I don't like condiments and a written order is easier to undestand than hearing a spoken order. So when I order 2 chicken sandwiches without mayonnaise, and the receipt says no mayo, then you would think it would be easy to to get that right? Not at this Wendy's... This place is just flat out embarrassing. The customer service is the worst I've seen in a long time. I take my son to Wendy's on Fridays to get Frosties and talk about our week. We usually go to the one in Plantsville, which is a nice location. Today we were in Wallingford, so we went to this location. Big mistake. Even though I was the only one in line, it took the staff 10 minutes to acknowledge me. It took them five more minutes to produce the two Junior Frosties I ordered. That's 15 total minutes for two Junior Frosties. Yup. But wait...there's more. The staff member that took my order was not in uniform, never gave me a receipt, and complained to her coworkers about having to work the front. When my food arrived, she just put it down in front of me and walked away without saying a word. While we ate, three other staff members hung out in the dining room, talking loudly. One was wearing sunglasses the whole time. My standards are pretty low for "fine-ness" of fast food dining, but this place is a total joke. read more

We were running behind schedule for a metal show at Oakdale Center just down the road. Had options for lots of fast food. Chose Wendys as it hard to screw up what they have. This place had plenty of workers and no customers? The best part of this place was the older gentleman that took our order and checked on us multiple times. He reminded us to fill out the survey numerous times. Food: we made our order and food was out in seconds...wife ordered a double with no cheese that took a bit more time. My only wish as that Yelp would all zero stars. We visited this location (against our better judgement). The dining room had zero people in it, yet we still waited 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Several other customers came in while I waited and when I finally got our food, the order was wrong. I went back up to the counter and said "Excuse me" several times. After the older when I finally got someone I asked for some honey mustard because I was given the wrong sandwich. He argued and I told him they took the order wrong. He had someone make the right sandwich (in seconds mind you) then proceeded to exit the kitchen and lock all the dining room doors. He told the older gentleman who asked for a manger to leave and told me I could do the same. If I had an employee who was on staff (let alone a manager) act like this, I'd fire him on the spot. I get leery when I have to walk into an establishment with only a 2 star rating on Yelp. Nevertheless, my experience at Wendy's today wasn't actually bad at all. The guy taking my order was really friendly and didn't actually act like he hated his job (the common theme to fast food chains and other retail shops), LOL. One of the best things I enjoy ordering is the 4 for $4, probably one of the best deals you could get at any of these chains. Right now (8/23) they're offering 50¢ frosties! I gave this place 3 tries before leaving a poor review because I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. In my last 3 visits here between December and January, I received the wrong order once after waiting 15 minutes behind 1 other customer. I waited another 15 to get the correct order. The next time I ordered a chicken sandwich and a frosty. Took about 20 minutes and I was, again, behind 1 other person. The third time (you guessed it) after waiting for an abnormal amount of time, I had Mayo all over the burger I specifically asked for no Mayo on. The workers seemed aggravated when I asked for a new one. It was hard for this location to get the order correct. Had to remake my sandwich and they didn't know how to correctly make the blueberry pineapple tea. The drink lacked blueberry. I have never ever been to a less sanitary establishment. I'm literally shocked this location has not been shut down. We rarely go here and gave it another try tonight. They ran out of kids toys for happy meals, had no ketchup, and my daughter's burger was ice cold. We found the one table that wasn't covered in grime only to find out the ceiling was leaking onto us. I just came from this Wendy's and my experience was poor. It was absolutely terrible. There was a train stopping by and I had asked the lady to please hold on because I could not hear her and she's screaming through the intercom and I get home to look at my food and it is wrong. They say they do not have frosty floats at night time which does not make sense because if you can give me ice cream why can't you add Dr Pepper to it? Also I asked for a large fry and I got the smallest fry and I am highly disappointed. I do not recommend at all I wouldn't buy this food for my dog if it could eat it. read more

I was fine with waiting, they are understaffed after all. The issue I have is that when I have to ask twice to get the rest of my order and I still don't get all of it, there is a problem. I didn't get all of my order and the customer before me had the same issue (I was waiting for my order to be taken and overheard the conversation). I think this is an issue with not properly training the employees, and the food was still good (for fast food), so I'm giving a 3 star. I live in Wallingford and don't go to Wendy's often but I do love their food. There has not been a time that I have gone and had a pleasant experience, not even a somewhat decent one. Today, I was greeted at the drive thru with "what do you want to order" then when I appeared in the window to pay and receive my food, the employee did not greet me, even after I said "hi", nor did she say "you're welcome" after I said "thank you". I even looked at her and waited for some kind of smile or acknowledgement. I would write into the company with this but I didn't get a receipt upon paying. We ordered a number 10, a 4 for 4 (chicken BLT), and a chicken sandwich. They gave us a number 8 instead of a 10, the chicken sandwich had bacon, and the BLT did not have bacon. We went back three times to correct the order; each time the cashier and cook were rude, argumentative, and did not offer to replace (or refund) the incorrect items (so in the end we paid MORE for what we wanted). By the time we got the order mostly correct (they could not get the bacon correct) our food was cold. Other people before, after, and driving through, also had to go back multiple times for their incorrect orders--none of them were corrected fully. I will not return to this restaurant, I HIGHLY recommend you train your staff correctly (or hire people who competently can work and speak any language), and I seriously frown upon Wendy's as a brand now. read more

There's trash all over the floor, the carpet is worn out, the tables are filthy with old food and the bathrooms are also dirty. This Wendy's has really gone down hill lately. The last two visits were very disappointing. First of these two most recent visits, our food was stale and lukewarm. After we were served, a couple of would be customers came in and waited several minutes without service and eventually left. And then during our most recent visit, my girlfriend and I waited about five minutes in a line at the counter and received no service.
