I hesitate to do a review for this company because I don't want to see it get swamped by everyone nevertheless here we are. Right on Taraval in the outer sunset is a perfect little fluff and fold laundry center run by Wendy. I called ... and the phone was immediately answered! I walked in and got immediate service! Quick and efficient but personal too! Wendy made quick work of my over 100 lbs of dirty laundry - the recent rains have caused some flooding in my laundry room which is under repair. I retrieved my clothes 1 day later perfectly folded and clean. They smell clean and are all grouped together perfectly but now the best part ... this place is a full 75¢ cheaper per pound than the next price offered by anyone else I found. It's a privilege to be able to do one's laundry this way but I love it. Even if you just need to get caught up so you can start the cycle over again, this is a great way to getter done. Check it out if you need a break from the laundry grind. I'm sure you could Uber your laundry there too if you wanted pick up and drop off. I moved to the Parkside area and was looking for a reliable economical cleaning service. I think their dry cleaning and their customer service is 5 stars. I tried their wash and fold and was not entirely satisfied with the job because I had gotten used to my cleaner on Geary who would return my button up shirts on a hanger and would ask if I wanted some starch. So my shirts would come back lightly starched and super well pressed, no wrinkles, like dry cleaning. But, at 123 cleaners, I was disappointed to find that all the clothes came back folded and that my shirts (especially the heavier material like wool and linens) were not wrinkle-free. I will definitely keep using them for dry cleaning services but I may have to trek across the city to go back to my old wash and fold place to get their good deals and their high quality washing service. read more

This is a review for Wen's 123 wash and fold service, which is excellent. I honestly don't know how I would have survived not having a laundry place near our apartment if it wasn't for Wen's. Our clothes would get stolen from the laundry room in our building all the time. Started taking our laundry for wash and fold and never looked back. Super affordable, everything lovingly folded, every instruction followed to the letter. Oh and Wendy is wonderful, too. One of those sweet, genuine business owners who remembers your name and situation. We're moving away from the city and we'll have our own washer/dryer in our new place, but I admit I'll miss how easy the wash and fold service made it to put everything away. Recently, I used this service twice since I was in a pinch, learning my old laundry service last minute folded (no pun intended), and the owner had not given me sufficient notice. I dealt with Wendy and Richard, an Asian husband and wife team. They are the owners. Wendy does the wash and fold and Richard does the deliveries. I had no problem getting on board with their service via telephone. Wendy answered all my questions, and Richard was on time for pick-up and delivery. Wendy does a beautiful job with the wash & fold. I have not had a better experience, even with my former laundry guy. I felt a lot of love and art went into her labor, and I telephoned her to express my gratitude. The price for two large bags of darks & whites, plus pickup and delivery, while completely reasonable, was nonetheless above my price range for a weekly routine at $31, and there was no same day service. Next day service was also unavailable. I had to wait two days to get my laundry back. Luckily, I discovered another wash & fold service around the corner from me that offers same day service and which does not charge me extra to wash a blanket. The total price is what I used to pay before my former laundry guy closed his shop, so I no longer am doing business with Wen's 123 Cleaners, but in a pinch or for regular laundry service, if you can afford it, use Wen's 123 Cleaners. They are professional, provide excellent service, and not even a single sock or washcloth gets lost. read more

Ok, so first, I would like to say that although I had a very bad experience with them, I wouldn't have posted this bad review if I wasn't treated very poorly when I came to the place and brought this matter to their attention. Things happen, we are all human beings but the way I was treated afterwards is what makes me so mad. So I moved to the area recently, and used they're wash and fold service twice. After the second time, I suddenly discovered stains on 5 of my favorite shirts. I have pictures that prove it but for some reason I can't seem to figure out how to upload pictures to this review. once I will figure it out I will definitely upload them. Obviously I came back the same day to the place to try and figure out what we can do about it, and I want to clarify that I was very polite to the lady when I brought it to her attention and showed her the shirts with the stains. The first thing she said is "I am not responsible", probably thinking I used the machines and not the wash and fold. A simple question of "did you use the wash and fold service, or did it by yourself with the machines?" Would have probably been the courteous thing to do before making this rude statement. When I explained her that I used the wash and fold service, she started to examine the shirts and it took her about 5 seconds to say that this can't be they're fault and she never saw something like this in her 30 years in the business. I then asked her how can it be since those stains weren't there before and now they're there. she then said that it's mold and it can be caused by living the clothes wet for a long time without drying them. well, I might not be a genius but the last time that those clothes were wet is when they did my laundry. So if there's a chance that anyone left them wet for too long, it's them. After telling her this she suddenly changed her "strategy" and claimed that those stains were there before and she suddenly remembered that she even saw it on one of the shirts and tried to use a special spray to take it off and it didn't work(didn't you just said that you never saw something like this in 30 years of business?). Ok, again, simple logic: if that is the case why didn't you guys called me and let me know that in order to prevent this exact situation which I am blaming you for something that is not your fault? And also I told her that I would have maybe accepted this explanation if it was one shirt but 5 of them?! She didn't really have answers for me and she kept finding weird excuses. at this point the guy who was a bit nicer interfered and offered to try and wash it off without any guarantees. the woman then said confidentially: "that won't help". In other words- 5 of my favorite shirts can go to the garbage. I then demanded my money back(which totaled to 29$ for 2 times). At this point it's important to explain that I didn't care about the money, I just wanted to have my shirts back in a normal condition, but since it seemed to not be a possibility I felt that a certain amount of justice needed to be done. The woman than started to say that there is no way it's going to happen and the most she can do is give me 10$ back which I found ridiculous. I will never forget the look on her face when I asked for the money - like I am making some unreasonable act just to get my money back. This experience left me very upset and I urge you guys- please don't use them. Not because they made a mistake, again mistakes happen. But because of this demeaning and outrageous attitude of them. That's not how you do business and not how you treat an unhappy customer. read more

Wendy is the sweetest owner. She is always present at the laundromat and if something gets stuck she'll un jam it. Yes they still use coins, which I'm happy about. A lot of laundromats have converted to the plastic card method which doesn't always work as smoothly. But here at Wen's 123 Cleaners...... Cash is King!!!!!! They also do dry cleaning as well and always have it back and ready to go in a timely fashion. Oh and almost forgot they do alterations as well. I believe she sends everything out but who cares it comes back and it's taken care of. She has washers from double, to triple, to 50lb loads! And all the equipment is always in good condition and working. She also provides soap, fabrics softener, and dry sheets in the machine for .75. Rock on read more

I've always had the most delightfully clean smelling clothes from her, folded with care and ready to go. This is the greatest commercial establishment in the city of San Francisco. Probably in the entire state. Wash and fold is 70 cents per pound!!!! (Where the heck is the cents symbol on my keyboard? I remember it being on typewriters.) Upon retrieval, my clothes are clean and perfectly folded in small squares and perfectly packaged in a bag. My clothes are always ready the next day, if I so request it. I have not laundered my shirts there yet, but I'm told that the price is $1.25 per shirt. There is a very pleasant lady by the name of Wendy who runs the establishment. Two weeks after my first visit, she remembered my name. Oh, and there's pretty much always parking on either Taraval right in front or on 25th Ave. so that you don't have to schlep your schmatas all over the farkakte city or illegally double park to get your schmatas in the car. This place is also a full-on DIY laundromat. However, I've never actually seen anyone doing their own laundry during any of my drop-offs or pick-ups. At these prices, who would want to waste their time doing that? Oh, yeah. They also accept credit cards which isn't always a given at these wash and fold establishments. read more

I've never given a negative review on yelp because I like to talk businesses up, but today's experience at Wen's 123 Cleaners was unsafe. I want to mention, the staff were friendly, the laundromat was clean, and the equipment worked great. The problem was our state and city are experiencing unsafe numbers of covid-19. It is mandatory to wear masks outside the home. When I arrived the staff were wearing masks for the first 30 minutes, but were NOT for the final hour (of which I was in and out due to this). They walked around the laundromat working and talking to customers kindly, but WITHOUT masks. A couple other customers did not wear masks either. It is not a covid-19 safe business. There is no way to maintain six feet distance in small rows of washers and dryers and when people don't wear masks, it is very unsafe. I noticed they had a poster stating the mask rules, but neither they nor some of the customers followed them. Wanted to share in case you have a pre-existing condition, elderly family at home, are risk averse, or just want to follow the mandated guidelines for the greater good. read more

I just moved to inner sunset and I had been having a very hard time finding a wash and fold near me. I rent an Inlaw unit and there's no access to any laundry where I live so wash and fold is a necessity in my life. I was so impressed with Wendy's customer service she went above and beyond by texting me and give me a call when it was ready which was much sooner than I anticipated. I'll be using her for all of my laundry needs from now on or as long as I'm living in the Sunset District. My only regret is that I didn't pick up my laundry sooner because there was A LOT For her to deal with. So, I have been known to drive all the way home to my parents house to get my clothes clean - and let me tell you - the drive to Sacramento with dirty, stinky clothes - yeah... 'nuff said. So this is the other dry-cleaning place that I go to in my 'hood. Prices are pretty standard, what was it? $2 - $3 something for a sweater? This place has coin laundry too. So you can always get change there to feed your meter. Extra FYI there in case you want to eat lunch at Eight Immortals which is at the next block. They do a good job with dry cleaning, you put the stains in, they take them out. I see a LOT of cop uniforms hanging, so from that I deduce that a lot of police officers go there to get their dry cleaning done. Either that or a certain police officer out there is running around nekkid. The lady that mans (or womans) the counter is sweet-natured and kind. Some years ago I brought my down comforter to be dry-cleaned and she asked me if I was sure because after all it was going to cost me $40. She even went further to say that I could just get the duvet cover cleaned instead, it'll be cheaper. But what can I say, some things have been done and cannot be undone without a dry cleaning service. But I was quite impressed that she tried to save me some dough. This is the best place to do laundry here on the mean streets of the Sunset. Lots of machines, seating, carts. They often have an actual human working inside (unlike most coin laundry places) so they can help out with any issues. The place even has a bathroom, which no coin laundries ever have, so that's awesome. The equipment is generally in good working condition and it's clean so this place gets most of my laundry coins. Also the neighborhood has lots of places to eat if you want to kill time while your clothes are busy becoming clean. read more

I really wanted to give zero stars, but didn't think it would post with no stars at all. I tried this place after reading some of the reviews. I had some curtains that had dog urine stains. I told the lady about the stains and was initially told it would be $12 per panel. I said, "Fine." Then, she said, "Oh, it will be $15 per pane." When I asked why the price difference, she said, "The other curtains were smaller." What other curtains she was referring to, I have no idea. But, I still said, "Fine, but I need them by Wednesday." (I went in on Monday) She said that wasn't a problem. I picked them up today and the stains were still there. The smell was still there. Actually, it didn't even look like the curtains were cleaned at all. I was pretty upset. I asked her about this and she said she'd have to call the plant to see what happened. After she talked to the plant, she said that they would "try" to take it out again if I wanted. I'd have to leave them and come back after the holidays. Well, the whole point was that I wanted them by today. Actually, the whole point was that I wanted the stains out. I told her that wasn't what I wanted and that I wanted a discount. I should have asked for the whole $30 back, but didn't for some reason. She offered $5, which I thought was ridiculous. I then asked, "Well, what about the stains, they're still there. Nothing looks like it's been done. The smell is still there." She said she could have the plant try again and if the stains came out, then I'd have to give back the $5. I found the whole conversation really irritating. There were no apologies. I told her that she knew about the stains and didn't tell me there was a chance that they might not come out. All she did was quote me one price and then another within 1-2 minutes if that. I told her $5 wasn't enough. She gave me another $5, but I don't think it was because she felt bad. There was someone else waiting to pick up their dry cleaning. I really feel like I got taken. Driving away, I thought about going back and demanding the other $20, but if someone really did try to clean it, which I still highly doubt, then someone needed to get paid for their time. They have the best prices I've ever come across for these services. $0.70 per pound for wash-and-fold! (Might be $0.75 now though? That's still a great rate.) Dry cleaning prices are also VERY reasonable, and your clothes don't come back with a chemical smell like at some other places... I never have any complaints with their work. Check out their website for a full list of prices. Wendy, the owner, works the service counter most of the time during their dry cleaning business hours. She is super sweet, and I believe she operates an honest, trustworthy business. She'll let me know which items can't be dry cleaned, and doesn't charge me for them. By they way, although it's not really advertised, 123 Wash also has a seamstress that does work for them. (Well, at least they used to a few years ago. I only used this service once.) Just ask Wendy when the seamstress will be there, and for a price estimate. Recently (as I get older and lazier haha) I've started dropping off my clothing for the wash and fold service. What a game changer! My clothes/towels/etc are always clean, folded, and ready in a short amount of time.
