No! This place was…read morereally disappointing. Came here based on reviews, but I. would caution anyone to steer clear of this place. It started with flat champagne drinks. That's just a fail, and it suggests a place that doesn't bother keeping things fresh. It kind of went downhill from there. We were looking for nice fresh fish and chips, wile we were out along the coast. We live near the coast ourselves, and are no strangers to good seafood. We decided to do the Cod and the Halibut fish and chips. While the halibut seemed fresh, the cod was waxy and looked old, and frankly i found it somehow mildly nauseating. I couldn't bring myself to teat it. The batter was crsipy, but lacked seasoning and tasted really flat (cardboard?). Aside from that, the coleslaw seemed pretty old soggy. Gross. Not impressed at all - some of the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Some people may like this kind of food - but i will actively avoid this place the next time in Astoria. Hard pass. i'm nauseous just thinking back to my experience here. Could hardly get away fast enough...

The halibut was soft and wet rather than dry and meaty. The crab louie salad was underwhelming in both size and flavor. We spent over $60 and didn't feel like we got much. So what is the name of this place?

Their website greets you with: "YOUR MEAT CONCIERGE, MAKING MEAT DREAMS COME TRUE SINCE 1990." Indeed, my meat dreams have come true! My partner has known Nicky USA for years through his time as a Chef at various restaurants. He has known their superior quality and interesting, curated meat offerings so we were PSYCHED when Meat Boxes became available to the public. From the Game Box to the Family Box, it is easy to plan a week or more of menu options around their ever-changing selections. The meat is 5 stars ... and the customer service is 5 stars too! When picking up the boxes, they are organized, careful,, and kind. Also, after we got home, we called with questions about one of our boxes and we were met with patience and kindness. Top notch, all the way around! Support Nicky USA, support their purveyors, ranchers, farmers. It is totally worth it!

We were provided with complimentary tomato bisque in cute little cups to start off the meal. It had a nice, light spicy kick that immediately got things going. We ordered the clam chowder with bone marrow, and this was absolutely the best clam chowder we have ever had. The dish comes with a cooked bone marrow on top that you're meant to scrape into the chowder, along with five medium clams still in their shells. Remove everything from the shells, scrape that glorious bone marrow into the chowder, and give it a really good stir. Keep the bone in the bowl for the extra flavor. Then enjoy what might be the best clam chowder of your life. We also ordered the beef tongue, which was another amazing appetizer. The combination of horseradish, tiny potato salad, capers, crispy little pork rind pieces, and the sauce on top of the beef tongue was SO flavorful. I was, indeed, back in divine food heaven. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the green beans, skirt steak, and pork chop. The green beans had an Asian-inspired preparation with fish sauce, cashews, and Thai basil. They were incredibly flavorful, with the Thai basil adding a nice freshness. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked to medium and seasoned beautifully with smoky flavors. The accompanying chimichurri added a fresh, herby contrast. And then there was the pork chop, which was a hugeeeee surprise! Our waitress told us it was one of their most popular dishes, and now I understand why. It was huge, perfectly cooked, beautifully grilled, and served with a slightly sweeter sauce that worked so well with the pork. We ended the meal with sorbet, which was fantastic and a refreshing way to finish everything. My life is complete!
