Adding another review. Brought my car back to get a WolfBox DashCam installed. Fully expected it to take most, if not all of the day and I'd pick it up late. Also had Wes take a look at the audio processor of the sub to see if he could tweak the output. Both were done in about 4 hours and Wes took the time to sit with me to tweak the bass output to exactly what I was looking for. For what I paid, it was well worth it to have a crazy nice DashCam and now a 12" sub that gives me a back massage. Will definitely be back again soon to get the door speakers swapped. read more

I had had a stressful morning and arrived crying, and Wes was so kind with encouraging words and he gave me the greatest hug. He fixed my CarPlay system in about 15 minutes and came out and said there is no charge this one's on me. So I cried for about another hour, but this time, a happy cry. You should see the amazing creativity in the waiting room. I felt like I was in Disneyland there are video games to play. If you're waiting with kids there are electronic games for adults and kids and you can sit at the counter like you're at a malt shop back in the 50s. The best audio shop in gold country (and beyond) , I went to 5 different car audio places, told them what I had in mind, and weighed their apparent knowledge & ideas for how to complete the project. Wes stood out right away! I needed to conserve space in the hatchback for a 4x6 bed but still have a high-quality, loud sound system. Wes and his crew did amazing work for incredible value. He communicated clearly and consistently over the few trips I made to his shop to dial everything in. Head unit, speakers, subs, amps, wiring, and the folding bed frame! I had to get a new car for work, that didn't have Satellite Radio included, which I really rely on to keep me awake & alert for the long drives I have to make weekly. I saw the great reviews on Yelp for Wes, and thought I'd stop by to get his opinion on my options. I arrived without even an appointment, but Wes stopped what he was doing, gave my car and my situation the once- over, and gave me great advice I took that didn't involve buying or installing anything from him (I was able later to connect my phone's internet , and the satellite website, to the sound system) . Wes could have easily taken me to the cleaners since I was so ignorant, but instead, he gave me an honest appraisal & advice so that he didn't make any money on it, didn't cost me a cent, and worked out great for me - WOW, how outstanding a thing was that for him to do ! Wes first put a stereo in my old Tacoma pickup. He didn't give me many details, just said, "don't worry, I'll take of ya." I was blown away to hear the final results. I was convinced the stereo was worth more than the truck! Great quality sound with amazing bass in a single cab. So when I bought a new truck there was only one place I was taking it. I asked my friend Greg at Casper's Muffler for a recommendation, and he immediately sent me to see Wes at Car Tunes, just around the corner from him. Well, little did I know what I was in store for! When I called, Wes asked me to stop by the shop so he could look at the car and determine what parts he would need to order. As it tuned out, he had everything in stock, and told me he could do the job that same day! This is the second time in a month that Wes, owner, has solved my problem. My after-market car alarm system (6 years old) wasn't working right. First he tried to figure out if it was just the remote. It wasn't. I stood right there watching his thoroughness. Wes ended up having to replace the alarm system. He replaced it quickly and the cost was more than reasonable, same as it cost me 6 years ago. It's working well. Also, I've been having trouble with the connection between my cell phone and my after market CD/radio/GPS. I thought it was because the panel where I plugged it in was loose. He troubleshot everything. He determined it wasn't the casing around the plug in. Checked the cord. He began to wonder if maybe it was the connection that plugs into phone. Headed to Apple Store tomorrow. Wes is efficient and thorough. He did not charge me cent for his time. Best place for a multitude of services. Reasonable, efficient, friendly. read more

I've used Wes to install AV and stereo equipment in my SUV and RV. I have found him to be responsive, thoughtful, and careful in his installations. He doesn't oversell and supports what he sells and installs. I've had an issue with how a system sounded and didn't know what was going on. He took a look and showed me how it was related to an auxiliary amp that I had already installed, something he had nothing to do with, and yet he adjusted it at no charge. I took my motorhome to Wes at "Wes's Car Tunes" yesterday. My stereo and backup camera were both faulty and he took my trailer into the shop immediately. He spent more than half the day troubleshooting and correcting the problems. He worked so very hard to keep my costs down and to assist me with a functional system. I have NEVER seen such a competent electronic technician. His confidence and stick-to-it-ness was far beyond my expectations. Yes my bid was higher than expected, but his effort was outstanding. My stereo wasn't working and couldn't get it fixed at home. Made an appointment (it was several weeks out) and once my car was in the shop he fixed my car in a matter of hours. Also it was something really simple and even though I know it took him some time to find it and replace an inexpensive fuse, he didn't charge me anything. I so appreciate that kind of service!
