From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed. I was initially quoted an exorbitant amount down in Florida to fix it and so I am very happy that I was able to find a shop with honest and reliable mechanics!! Have been taking my vehicles to BR Oil Change for 2+ years, but won't be going back. They have made…read moreseveral errors, one costing me $800 to fix. First incident was summer of '23. While traveling on a road trip we needed an oil change in KY. It took them 20 minutes to get the oil filter off, they said it was over-torqued. Next up, took the SUV in and during the oil change, they over-filled the engine and it poured out all over the engine compartment. They apologised and wiped up around the engine. But on the next scheduled change they said the engine pan, front and rear seals were leaking, and sold me a quart of stop-leak. But then later I thought it could just be oil that didn't get wiped up from when they spilled it the time before. Anyway, checked the SUV oil consumption, sure enough it was leaking or burning off 1 quart every 200 miles. Took it in to my mechanic and they found the leak at the valve covers. My mechanic is very good, he says it's possible the overfill caused the leak due to high pressure if overfilled. Took my repair bill back to BROC and they said they never would have let my SUV out of the shop over-filled and denied me any compensation, not even a free change. So, "nothing they can do"! 'Bye bye, Blue Ridge Oil Change'!

Had warranty transmission work done at King Ford, and I've now been without my vehicle for two…read moremonths. I was told the replacement transmission they received was defective, and Ford is requiring them to remove it and tear it down again. During this time, I asked King Ford if they could provide a loaner or offer any assistance with a rental, but nothing was offered. It's disappointing, because the level of care seems to end once the sale is complete. The service experience has not reflected the "royal treatment" they advertise, especially when customers need support the most. Especially since I have been a loyal customer for years.

I arrived at 7:45 and was a little surprised to find the door locked, but no big deal. I waited in my friend's car. I looked and the bay door was opening and because the doors were still locked, I went in the back way, through the garage, to the desk, and told the man who was standing there that I was there for my 8:00 appt. I was very surprised when the man standing there said that he was a customer and that he had opened the bay roll-up door, so we stood there and waited for an employee to arrive. After waiting about 5 more minutes, the first employee showed up, still eating his breakfast, and began opening up the computer. Yes, he was late but said nothing to me at all. The 2nd guy got there and was opening the computer and I stood there for another 5 minutes before he said that someone would be right with me. I dropped off my keys and left with my friend. While we were having brunch, someone called and said that they didn't have my brake pads. He said that they could use a different brand than the one I needed, and that they would be just as good. I said that would be fine. He said that my car would be ready in about 2 hours. A couple hours later my friend dropped me off at the service dept, and I went in to check on my Ford. He said that the brake pads weren't there yet so it would be a while longer. I said ok and went into the waiting room and sat there until 2:45 when someone came in and said my car was ready. I told them they had really dropped the ball with me. First, they were late and there is no excuse for that. Next, they had my appt on the books for weeks. Why couldn't they check on what I would need for the brake pads and had them there waiting for me when I arrived? Next, why was I still waiting for the brake pads to arrive? They said they had the other ones that were just as good. Then they charged an extra 3% for using a credit card instead of cash. While I understand having this charge for a little mom-and-pop store, it was ridiculous for such a big company to add an extra service fee. Then the last time I went there they said I would need new tires. This time they said my tires were good, so I highly doubt that they even looked at them, much less rotated them. I received no apology, no nothing. For some reason, the receipt shows I paid at 10:36, instead 0f 2:45, and that is simply a lie. I don't think we will be taking our Fords there again for any reason. Thanks for your time, mine was certainly wasted.
