Let's start by NOT letting an actual kid try to sell me a car. The boy who was assisting me was in high school. (Not an assumption, he told us). Second- know where the cars are located. It was a very hot day and I have a chronic illness. Walking around helping them look for a car is ridiculous. Lastly, the car we drove 40+ minutes to see didn't have a working air conditioner. The salesman was a young kid, really nice, there was no problems with him. The dealership is very unorganized. There's just cars everywhere and nobody knows where any specific car is. A lot of their cars are in rough condition but after walking around for a while, we found a clean one we wanted to buy. It was after hours so not all banks were still open. We were told buy the manager, the other banks open in the morning and we can get better rates. He said "I've been doing this a long time so I know we'll get better rates tomorrow". The next morning they called and said sorry a co-signer is needed or a larger down payment...I said thats not what you said last night after running my nephews credit AND their website in capital letters reads, "NO CREDIT, BAD CREDIT, COLLECTIONS, MATRICULA, CASH PAYING JOBS, PREVIOUS BANKRUPTCY, REPOSSESSION, FIRST TIME BUYERS? NO PROBLEM!" So the manager is full of crap and doesn't know what he's talking about and also their website is false advertising. It isn't true. My nephew has good credit. I met a young man named Marcel that helped me test drive several vehicles before I decided to get a Honda with low miles Most places I looked at had cars that were over 80,000 miles for the same price. The only negative is it was hard to get insurance because it had been in an accident I almost returned the car because I could not get comprehensive. insurance. I went back and one of the owners personally helped me purchase an insurance policy with Geico. What a relief because I really like the car. They went out of their way to make sure that I was happy and insured. if you're looking for a car with low miles They have many many many to choose from not just one car that you're looking at that may not be there. They have lots of choices in your price range with low miles that. will be over $20,000 or under $15,000. This is the place to go. I had a really great experience. I'm not sure about other people, but I am very satisfied. I'm a woman and they treated me with respect and they went out of their way to make sure i was happy with my purchase. I found these guys on cars.com and I've been looking for several days for a car under $15,000. Most cars were in the 80 to 120,000 miles around that price. At that mileage the car is going die soon anyway. Came in looking for a vehicle with my partner. I expressed interest earlier and was texted by Jay to come in that day which we happened to have time for. Asked Jay if we could come in, no response all day. So we came in anyways was immediately hounded as we stepped out the car it's like they have doorman bloodhounds watching the parking lot. I mentioned I was reached out to by Jay but there wasn't interaction so I didn't care who we got. Jay comes out and we start walking the lot to find the car. Couldn't find the car so he sat us inside. Around this time we said we were just starting to look. Now I'm not very good with buying cars and such so I did ask some confusing questions I feel but I just didn't want the sticker price to multiple by two as many places do. Jay proceeds to be extremely dismissive towards me (mind you it's my car and my money not my partners), and focuses more attention to my partner, if any attention. Like I said because we weren't dead set on the car he just seemed very dismissive in general. He pushed me to run my credit which I said no I don't want to. I didn't like the car enough and especially didn't like his attitude to want to help him make money. I asked for warranty prices which he said he could get me as well as a Carfax so I could have on file. Proceeds to never get us the warranty and say he has to charge for the Carfax. Something that should be free especially to them. Pushed to hand his business card to my partner, again my car not my partners. I was close to taking it and ripping it up which when my partner and I left we agreed to throw it out. Disappointed in this experience overall. 2 years ago we went to the West Chicago Auto Mall so our son could buy his first car. He spent all of his savings on a car we were told was in great shape (2017 low mileage car) that completely fell apart within weeks of purchase. The breaks were faulty and when we brought it back in after paying for service we were told again that it was in perfect condition. In the less than 2 years since purchase, we had to replace the engine, get new brake pads, get new spark plugs, replace the battery (as well as complete regular maintenance) and now the transmission is completely shot. It has not been a safe car to drive, and certainly isn't safe for anyone else to drive going forward! There's no way another driver should ever own this car. We took the car back to the West Chicago auto mall today and they offered money for a trade-in. They literally said to me an hour ago that they could sell the car and make a profit off of it to someone else. Someone else would get this horrible car thinking that it is safe to drive!! I would never trust the West Chicago auto Mall to purchase another car... And want to let as many people know as possible that they shouldn't either. We are now selling the car for parts at Carmax... they will not sell to another person, but it will go to auction for parts. When I asked why- they said I should have called (which I did) and that they have 600 cars so can't keep track. Salesmen were VERY pushy and lots of BS words. I approached a car dealer, CarMax and the dealer where I purchased a new vehicle. All three came back within minutes of checking the VIN with the same story... West Chicago had sold me a car without disclosing that it had been in a major accident with air bag deployment. All three offered me the same $15,000 auction amount. The car would otherwise have been worth $25,000. Clearly, West Chicago knew of the cars history when they sold it to me but lied when I specifically asked about its history telling me that it had been in a minor fender bender. Called the dealership about seeing two cars. Drove the hour to get there and find out the two cars were "sold". I question if both of them were actually sold or it was a lie to get us to the dealership. The salesman then basically told us to use his computer to find cars that we were interested in. Which was fine, easier to use than our phone because their mobile site is horrible. But still odd that we were not helped with the salesman there. Nobody there would tell us what cars had been in accidents before. They just referred to them as having a "clean title", which means that the car has not been in an accident where the repairs exceed 75% of the cars value or is totaled. That didn't answer our question. And the salesman was telling us which vehicles had clean titles by memory, which had me doubt the accuracy of the information being told. Basically, it was implied that we could get more information if we were serious about the car. Very odd. The dealership has CarFax reports on all vehicles but they will not show you them. They are all printed in folders for each car. The one CarFax report we did see showed that the car was repossessed and from an auction. It makes me question where these vehicles are coming from, or why they didn't want us to see those. It would certainly help us all save time and eliminate cars. Which is very important because their inventory is not all on site. Once we did find a car that we wanted to view we were told it is at their offsite storage facility, which was either 15 or 25 minutes away. The distance away kept changing with each reference to it. The salesman was the person that had to pickup the vehicle though. We were told it would take 30 minutes. Then 45 minutes. Why do they not have someone else that can get cars in storage while we see cars that are at the local lot? Why is our salesman required to make us wait so long to view one car? We ended up waiting an hour for him to leave and come back with one car, which was in unacceptable shape for the price being asked. I get that it was in storage and expected it to be dirty. But we didn't expect locked up rear breaks and melted interior surfaces from being left out in the hot sun for too long. It also needed to be jumped to get it running, and the salesman seemed hesitant to let us turn off the car and restart it. We were told that they have "great mechanics" and "everything can be fixed". In addition, we came to the dealership with our child. They were there with us the whole time. We were not informed until the test drive started that our child could not come with us. This meant that one of us had to stay behind during the test drive. That should have been told to us up front when we arrived with a child. Overall we were there for 2 hours, spent a total of 4 hours with the drive there, and my spouse test drove 1 car before we left. We decided to go home and not waste any more of our time. Even if we saw cars on the local lot, vehicles were double parked and it likely would have taken an additional 30 minutes to get each one out. It took a solid 20 minutes for our salesman to find the keys and vehicle for the car he had to drive over to the storage lot. And that was not double parked. Cars on the local lot were unlocked. At least in our 1 hour wait we were able to walk the lot and get inside cars to see the interior ourselves without the assistance of a salesman's. That's the only positive of the experience, I guess. That any car you buy is unlocked and anybody can just go in it at any time unassisted. Great if you just quickly want to see the interior of cars to get a feel of them and not actually buy there. Incredibly friendly, multilingual and courteous staff. We test drove many cars and were never rushed. The facility and the cars were clean and we felt safe shopping there during Covid-19 pandemic. Sebastian the General Manager, Artur the Head of Service Department, and Przemek in financing were easy to work with and made sure we got the car that we wanted with financing that was compatible with our research and what was quoted beforehand somewhere else. Spoke to Martin over the phone about 2021 Mercedes sprinter and confirm vehicle was available and had provided price that I was satisfied paying. I was ask to meet Martin at a body shop to see the sprinter. After test driving the vehicle, Martin advises this vehicle was already sold to someone else and I have another vehicle at the dealership in west chicago location with same specs and lower miles. After driving from Addison to west chicago, price jumps up because someone purchase similar vehicle for higher price. I basically wasted 3 hours going back and forth. If your selling a vehicle and you agreed to a price I believe you should honor that rather then changing it because someone else paid more for similar vehicle. I understand the market is booming for vehicles and people are paying more but satisfying customers and communication plays a huge role in this business. their for I wouldn't recommend purchasing any vehicle at this dealership. I drive a lot and I'm really tough on my vehicles. As a result this is the 5th dealership I've bought a car from in recent years. West Chicago Auto Mall was my best car buying experience by a mile. They gave me a good price for my trade in, and I got my new vehicle for an awesome price. As I write this, on CarGurus, only 3 listings of 198 are deemed "overpriced" I purchased my $12,000 vehicle $3000+ below the fair market value. A lot of the reviews talk about how they don't want to negotiate on the price, but I think most of their cars under $20k are already priced to reflect the customer not negotiating. After all, they've gotta get people in the door. I'd imagine they probably don't advertise this because they have more wiggle room with their higher price cars. If you are someone looking to buy a used car in a low-stress environment then, West Chicago Auto Mall is a great choice. They really try to make buying a car an enjoyable experience. Alek was my salesperson. He was a gentleman and a professional. When they presented me my offer, I asked for a few minutes to myself and they happily obliged which I thought was awesome. This gave me enough time to make sense of all of the numbers. I've had dealers in the past change numbers in their favor based upon the sales price or down payment. I was happy to see that this was not the case with these guys. They happily answered any questions I had. I also had the pleasure of talking with the manager, Sebastian. Sebastian was a character and really went above and beyond to make me a happy customer. When I drove off, I noticed a sound on the front end of my new car when I went over bumps. I called in and they said they'd take care of it. They worked around my work schedule to fit me in twice. I write this in my (new-to-me) fixed car. Watch out for the games this place play,bait and switch. I went this morning to test drive a car. After spending the day looking, I decided to buy the car I drove at this dealership. I pulled in title and check book in hand only to find they tacked on a destination fee of 499 dollars. When approached about this fee I was told that every dealership has them. In researching this statement, I find that there is indeed a destination fee, on new cars from the manufacturer. Not on used cars. So, I call a few other random dealerships and they all tell me they have such a fee, but they included it in the price they do not tack it in on the end. I felt completely bait and switched. I know they say that in psychology people only leave reviews when they really dislike something or really love it. And I assume that could be true. But this review is 6 months in the making so to say that I heavily dislike or am displeased with this auto shop is an understatement. The same day I purchased my car the check engine light came on. The salesman had told me it had just been taken out of the garage after being serviced and that I wouldn't have any issues with it, and just 20 minutes after driving it the light came on. I have went back to this dealership on four different occasions to get that check engine light fixed. And all four times they have been incredibly rude, and impatient with me. They would tell me that they only need my car for 2 days, and actually hold it for 5 days, making it virtually impossible for me to get to work since I have a long commute. And whenever I call to ask about how it's going, ***** specifically picks up and always speaks to me with such disrespect and impatience. On top of that I still have the check engine light issue to this day, June 2022. Look, I don't want to make this any longer than it has to be. There are some good reviews on here, sure. Some people are pleased with their experience at this auto shop, I can only speak for myself. If I could go back to when I got this vehicle, I would rather have gotten the same car at a different dealership for $3000+ more than to deal with these guys at West Chicago. I give this dealership a big ZERO!! I've never in my life have had this HORRIBLE experience before, EVER when purchasing a vehicle! It started off with a salesman name Thomas, he took my son for a test drive in 2 vehicles with my husband present. He showed no enthusiasm, enjoyment, or knowledge of being a salesman. When asked if the price was NEGOTIABLE, he indicated NO! Stated "Just like the gas prices are going up, so are the used cars, so the price is what it is". Then he try to convince me to run my credit again since I told him I was pre approved through my credit union. He wanted me to go with one of the dealership banks. I told him I was happy with my percentage from my credit union. Then when I asked him for an out of door price on one of the vehicles, he comes back indicating that the doc fee was going to be $300. Told him that I've never paid that price before, so I told him no I'm not paying that price, got up, & left. He said ok, bye. Which I felt he obviously didn't want the sale & could care less that I walked out the door. So I decided to give it another shot with a manager in the sales department, well LOW & BEHOLD, AJ & Sebastian are just as bad. I drove 4 days later back to the dealership that's over 1 hour away. AJ told me the car that I was interested in was 15 minutes away in one of their storage lots. The car will be at the dealership when I arrive. Well my son & I get there, the car that I was interested in was still not at the dealership. One manager told me someone had the keys that were an hour away, & the other manager told me that the storage place was an hour away. Then when asked for the buyers order for my credit union, they put a whole different vehicle on it, with a different price. I COULD NOT believe how UNPROFESSIONAL this dealership was. I felt like I was being pranked or something. The manager Sebastian said that they needed the check in their hands from the credit union. So I did everything that was asked on my end, but when it came to them getting what I needed, it was always a long story. Just like when I asked for a car-fax on the vehicle, they took over a day. I called them, AJ said that the CarFax website is down. So he couldn't get it at the moment, yet he didn't communicate that with me at all. This is the most inefficient operation I have ever experienced. While the sales person, Lilly, was nice, the sales manager wastes time telling stories rather than answering the questions about the vehicles in which we were interested. We looked at cars on Friday night, spent over 2 hours, most of which was sitting and waiting for the manager to give us the details on the vehicle. The car battery was dead and the interior was dirty when the vehicle was shown to us. We were told they would install a new battery, wash and detail the vehicle in the morning. Dealership opened at 10am. We arrived at 10:30. Had to wait 30-40 minutes before the manager brought the paperwork to sign then had to wait another 45 -60 minutes for the detailing and car washing to be completed. And when the got the car, the fuel tank is almost empty! Next time we will pay a little more and find a more efficient and customer focused dealership. read more

RUN.....don't walk AWAY from this place! Prices on internet were clearly stated. My insurance company sent us there with a hard quote and final price for a replacement car for my husband. Got there....car was extremely more damaged then pics showed. After we explained to the salesman what the price online was and showed him pics, he went and got the manager. He tried jacking the car up more than $4k. We showed him the pics and price and he said "I just went home and changed the prices yesterday!" We went over to Packy Webb and were done and out the door in an hour for a much nicer car with NO DAMAGE and less on the price. I have filed with BBB and let my insurance company know that they r frauds and don't stick to what they advertise!!! George was extremely helpful, enthusiastic, and honest, and steered me to the car that fit my needs and budget without trying to over-sell me or anything like that. He was also very transparent about the fees (ex. state registration) that go along with the sticker price. I also want to say that during my test drive George and I saw a tire pressure light go off. George promised they would take care of this and true to his promise both George and the manager Sebastian made sure I had good quality tires even after my purchase was complete. Purchased a Kia from them. Cleverly hidden the problems we have had with this car. First given one and only key that can't seem to copy any where. Broken shock, bad brakes that we were told were just installed, they installed them alright, right over the existing brake pads. The mechanic never saw that before. Also control arm messed up which led to a whole engine replacement. Now we have been told the lower and upper tie rod is bad and that it had been in an accident that we were unaware of. RUN!!!! Do NOT do business here! I found what looked to be a great car online for my son. Year, miles, features and prices all seemed ideal. I reached out to the dealer asking for the CarFax and was told they only supply that when you come see the car. I decided to go for it and told them I'd be by on a Friday. Usual sales tactics applied, someone's coming to look at it, I better hurry. Hahaha! Here's where the big problems come in. On Friday I arrive. Take her car for a drive. Found out the driver side window had issues going up. Told they would fix that. OK. Go back let my son look further. I talk to salesperson. I finally get the CarFax. Started out as a rental, red flag. Was in not one but two accidents, red flag. So here's what I knew... window issue low tire life left rental two accidents My son loved the car, so against better judgment I offered them 95% of their asking price. Salesperson brings the manager in who is quite rude. Asks me where I came up with the price. I asked why that mattered. He then goes on a ramble offering me $2 for my iPhone. I mention it was my offer, take it or leave it. I then stated that I was very close to just paying the asking price but I wasn't sure thanks to his attitude. He proceeds to waddle out the office screaming that he isn't selling me anything and to leave. I ask the salesperson, if I paid full could we still buy the car, my son really liked it. She went to talk to him. We coulld hear him screaming at her. Then she disappears too. So my son and I walked out. I do want to thank them though! We walked and did not purchase a car I was comfortable with. Last night we went to another dealer and picked up a car with less miles, more features, better condition, one owner, never a rental and no car accidents! While buying process was friendly. So yes, take your money elsewhere. My son initially felt he'd never get a car. But this horrible experience taught him a valuable lesson or two. My advice to the owners.... One word for this place - JOKE! I had an appointment the young lady supposedly was busy. Ok no worries! Over comes this big unkept individual! Breathing heavy and tells us we'll have to wait a half hour on a car that someone told us they were going to pull around. Sounds to me they didn't have the car. Now mind you he brings a supposed customer with him and tells us it'll be half hour because this gentleman is interested in the same car, what is he suppose to do tell him - to wait! Uhmm that will be a NO because we're leaving. And by the way, your ad said the car was new. His response, (get ready for this) " Yeah it said New not brand new!"
