Rating in reality 4.5 stars. This is my favorite, to be honest, ONLY bagel shop in the Chino/Chino Hills area. I have been coming here for maybe 20+ years and have seen the two young kids grow up and now run the business. It took a two star experience at a new local bagel place to really realize how much I do love WCB. We don't treat ourselves to bagels often, as I am losing the fight to the chubby demons. But when we do, West Coast Bagels is our spot. My wife and I will usually indulge with a savory bagel each and split a sweet bagel. I particularly love their jalapeño cheese bagel toasted with butter and usually garden herb cream cheese. My wife enjoys toasted garlic or everything bagel and lox. We'll usually share a cinnamon raisin with a sweet spread. I think it's called honey and nut? In the past, I have had a few of their bagel sandwiches, like bacon and egg. They have a pastrami or corned beef bagel sandwich. If I am enjoying a Sammy that day, my absolute favorite is the cold roast beef. Excellent! I love it on a toasted cheese bagel. Their coffee and iced drinks are well above the average bagel and donut shop in taste. But they have a flavored tropical tea that is FxN excellent! Don't sleep on it! I believe it's ¢50 for a coffee or iced tea refill. I don't believe that I have ever tried an espresso drink or premium coffee here. The drip coffee is very good here as well as that tropical iced tea. As far as I can tell, this is a true Mom n Pop family business. I have seen the same cast of characters over the past multiple decades visiting. It is priority to keep to support small businesses whenever I can, and WCB fits that bill. If I really had any suggestion, I would just prefer that they switch to natural peanut butter instead of Skippy or Jif. I really try to avoid hydrogenated oils at all cost. Decor is pretty basic. Nothing fancy by any stretch. I actually don't know if they have a restroom for customers, as I have never seen one. Tables and floor are kept clean between rushes. They don't hound you for a tip, just a tip jar by the register. Usually a good line out the door on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Get there early before your favorite bagel sells out! read more

I walked in here hoping that they would have a selection of tea for my soar throat, and they did. Their coffee/tea station was clean and had a tube of honey which I was in desperate need of. While I was there, I decided to get breakfast. I ended up ordering a cranberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese which I very much enjoyed. I asked the lady to lightly toast my bread and, she did exactly that. The bagels here have this wonderful chew that I actually want to go back and buy a few bagels to have at home for my family. I also noticed that the ladies were joking around with their customers. Humor is good in the morning. Also, the chairs have a floral design making the place inviting to dine in. The bagel should have been called a "sad cheese bagel" because the jalapeños were nonexistent. For the price, you can buy a whole bag of bagels at the grocery store and "Zhuzh it up" yourself. I've lived in the area almost my entire life and had never tried this place. It's been here at least 25 years and probably longer. Decided to stop by for a bagel and coffee today. They have a variety of bagel and a few different cream cheese options. I was also surprised to see they have breakfast and lunch sandwiches also. I went with a jalapeño cheese bagel and plain cream cheese. Bagel cost more than others, I guess because of the cheese? I also got a coffee. In total it was $7 and change (5% discount for cash). Had I used card there would've been a 4% surcharge. Seemed steep to me but bagels must be good right? Coffee is self serve and decaf was out so I asked them to make more. Decided to sit and eat while waiting for coffee. Plenty of seating for a small shop. Upon digging into the bagel I found that the jalapeños were tiny scarce pieces - I actually only saw one piece. I couldn't even taste them at all. They did put plenty of cream cheese on at least. Taste was OK. But overall, just not worth it. I'd rather go to Albertsons and get five jalapeño cheese bagels that are loaded with cheese and toppings and taste great for a price less than one here. read more

Love visiting West Coast Bagel for breakfast. My go-to order is Lox bagel on jalapeno cheddar bagel; the bagel is delicious and are very generous with the filling, cream cheese, smoked salmon, tomato and onion. The staff is always friendly and efficient. They do get busy during the weekend, but it's worth the wait. read more

A great spot for bagels and coffee. The dining room was large and clean with five tables inside and two outside. Being October, the inside was decorated appropriately with Halloween decorations, very cool. I was waited on by a friendly young lady who brought my order to our table when it was ready. WCB is a popular place for locals as the two girls in the back seemed to know everyone who came in. The breakfast sandwich we ordered was excellent! Quite substantial with plenty of egg,,delicious. I have noticed they did not change the way they make there Egg bagel breakfast sandwiches still disappointed in seeing that. They are however very friendly and had no issues with the hospitality of the service. The ambiance looks as clean as it can get. Overall for getting a simple bagel it was decent and hit the spot. Stopped in 30 minutes before closing last Saturday and was happy we didn't get turned away as some places sometimes do. The service was pleasant and the total for 2 bagel sandwiches and an iced coffee came to $25. My wife loved the salmon bagel and I was OK with my egg, cheese and sausage bagel. It was filling but the egg had a slight grey color to it which I feel happens when the eggs aren't as fresh. I still ate the sandwich but it def needed salt, pepper and some chili.
