It was a beautiful day to sit in Julie's Cafe and sip on some fruit smoothies with this heat wave going on recently. Ordering is made through a touch screen kiosk, and Julie's offers an array of smoothies, basic coffees, bagels, sandwiches, and some baked treats. Roast Beef Sandwich was light, and the bread was toasted which made the sandwich taste yum! It comes with a mixed fruit cup which was nice! I like the deli roast beef they use, and they did not go heavy on any sauce/dressings. It was a balanced sandwich! I loved the Dragon fruit smoothie and Kale smoothie! Both are vibrant and taste very refreshing. Perfectly icy and blended with a not too thick texture. I liked the dragon fruit more that day, but depends on if I want more greens or not. Also, their chocolate chip cookie is thick but so delicious! Fulfilled the sweet tooth and a proper way to end the meal. I loved that the AC was blasting inside, and I felt comfortable dining here. read more

I've driven past here many times and didn't pay much attention to this shop. My friend recommended their breakfast sandwich, so I had to try it for myself. It's a place where you order on a screen and wait. Food came out pretty fast. I took it to go, but the cafe is actually pretty cute and comfy. Maybe I'll dine in next time. I wish they had someone taking the orders or some type of service beyond just a call for my name and handing the food over. I got the breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel. It was toasted and slightly crispy in the best way. What impressed me was that the simple ingredients - spinach, egg, cheese, onion, and bacon - went so well together. I really enjoyed it. Cutest little accidental find in a long time. Be prepared on weekends it every busy. I love taking my littles here during the week for a smoothie and bagel. It's the cutest little cafe with the beta seating and decorations. It's so homey and makes you want to just hang out for the day. I always get the Julie's special bagel sandwich and it's amazing. I like to add cream cheese for an extra touch of yummy. Everything here is good and I never leave without an hocolate chip cookie. read more

NO CASH. Now that you have processed that....This place seems to have found a way to fight inflation. Although prices have increased since my last post four years ago, it's such a small increase that I hardly noticed. EVERYTHING is still reasonably priced. Priced from 9.95 for a honey sausage breakfast sandwich to 15.95 for an open face lox bagel. Still very nice indoors with plenty of seating. Maintain their minimalistic ranch style. Very clean, restrooms, and great service. One big change since four years ago has been the addition of the self serve. Used to have someone to take your order, but now you can order and pay on the tablet on the counter or as soon as you walk in the door. Ladies in the back always working hard, and making fresh food. Closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays, but open as early as 7 AM on other days. Making good on my last post and ordered the Julie's special. Jalapeño bagels with eggs, provolone, tomatoes, spinach, bacon, onions, and maybe some other stuff. It's delicious! Didn't realize you could order online until someone walked in while I was waiting and picked up their order. Next time, going to try their lunch options. So far everything I've tried has not let me down. But most of all, I really appreciate they haven't raise their prices too much. Great quality for an even better price. read more

Great road trip stop. Just off the 71 freeway in Pomona. Julie's is a great spot for coffee and breakfast. I had a more than adequate latte, tried the "California" breakfast bagel sandwich. Veggies, cheese, spinach and added sausage. I also took the recommendation of the delightful staff person and had this on a jalapeño bagel. Delicious and filling! The place is comfortable inside and out. I enjoyed the still cool morning under an umbrella out front. Bathrooms are very clean! I hope I pass this way again. read more

This is a really cute place with a great breakfast sandwich. The coffee is good the bagels even better. Fruit cup is also very fresh.

You order from the kiosk now. It was fairly busy when I went so the food took a while to come out. Ordered the lox on everything. Wished the bagel was a bit more toasted but the lox tasted fresh. 15 bucks for a bagel is crazy, but I guess that's inflation these days. At least it came with a fruit cup. Now it's Julie's Cafe, run (it seems) by an Asian lady, with a very cute and cozy decor. The menu is mostly sandwiches, salads, and coffee--so more like a light brunch café than a traditional diner. Personally, I missed the classic American breakfast items like pancakes or country fried steak. I ordered the signature sandwich with tomato soup --tasty, very similar to Corner Bakery's style. That said, I do prefer CB's black coffee for its stronger flavor. The cafe is inside a converted house, which makes it feel homey, but parking is quite limited. During peak dining hours you might have to circle around to find a spot. The place is clean, plays modern jazz music (which I loved), and overall has a relaxing vibe--great for catching up with a friend, a quiet brunch in Chino, or even a casual business chat. One thing to note: ordering is done through a tablet, whether you're dining in or taking out. That might be a challenge for older customers--this spot used to be popular with retirees, but I didn't see many today. Also, they only open Wednesday through Saturday, which feels very "casual owner lifestyle" . Overall, Julie's Cafe is a nice local café in Chino--clean, comfortable, and serving good food. I'd love to see a bit more variety on the menu, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a cozy brunch spot, fresh sandwiches and salads, or just a quiet place to enjoy coffee in Chino. read more

julies, i came here two years ago and thought about you since then... so happy to have been back last week and gotten a delicious bagel sandwich that was piping hot, with fluffy, steamy eggs and a light kale smoothie. my friend was extra clever and got one of their sandwiches but subbed the bread for a bagel. the americano was also yummy, a standard one. you should definitely get some tapatio for your lil sandwich though, it makes it even more tasty. you can also switch the bagel out for a different flavor, as my other friend got their pizza bagel, which was even more savory and they smashed it down panini style. i love this cutely decorated little shop, with the service here always helpful. i want to try their salads here for sure, and look forward to being back in the area for brunch just to come back here and try something new. read more

I found this spot when I was in the area. It's a warm and cozy little mom and pop shop. Super cute. Ordered the egg sandwich: it was pretty good. They packed the sandwich really well. Meh... very cute place, service is kind and polite, but the food is meh. Cheep cheese slices, flavorless eggs and sausage, bagels taste like ones you can get from Costco. I wouldn't spend money on food here again. I'd rather make something cheaper and more flavorful at home, or go to a real bagel shop that makes bagels in house. My all time favorite bagel place!!! After discovering this place for the first time, my parents and I ended up frequenting here every weekend for a couple of months. It is a bit pricey for the area ($8-12 per bagel), but IT IS VERYY MUCH WORTH IT!! The bagels are amazing and they are stuffed to the brim (see pictures attached). The kale smoothie is also a bit pricey (i think it's like $8?), but, lemme tell ya! Best poop I've ever had afterwards and it's such a refreshing and delicious kale smoothie, so you really do have to get it. Their tuna melt is quite good as well! The service is great, but it does get very busy on Saturday mornings. It usually takes a while to get your food when it's a morning rush, so I would recommend either ordering ahead or bringing a book with you. It's a great place to catch up with friends (it does get quite loud in there), not really to study at especially since signal is bad. went here on Saturday noon and it was nothing too special. I ordered two bagels, the jalapeño one and the Julie's special and it took 30 minutes to get it. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind but the bagel wasn't anything overly amazing to wait 30 minutes for it, mind you there was no line just other people waiting for there food to be finished as well! I've heard of many great things about this little breakfast nook back when it used to be in DB but now I've finally gotten to try it and it's a super cute and cozy place that serves up really good breakfast bagel sandwiches. We got the Julie's special and a California breakfast bagel and they were freshly made and the bagels were not too thick and bready but perfectly chewy and soft. I love the ambiance here during the holidays as it feels like I'm having breakfast at a good friends house. The beet, strawberry, blueberry and yogurt combo was not overly sweet but a balance and good texture. Kale and more smoothie had natural tones of sweetness from the mixed fruit. Both were great. Happy to see no addition sugary fruit juice and can get the smoothies without yogurt for a non-dairy option; thus making it a healthier option. I will get again Food: The toasted sesame bagels was perfectly toasted with a side of lox cream cheese. The serving of lox C/C was the exact amount needed for your bagel. The Lox open faced bagel was just as yummy with the addition of tomato, onion and capers. Everything tasted fresh / day of Service: They have self-order and pay on their 3 screen computers. Also, they charge a small sub fee to sustain their employees in addition to tipping (they do not take cash). I asked the female employee in the front a Q and she seemed annoyed but as I continued to leverage Q's she lightened up.
