We had him repair a trim/siding issue we had. He came up with a fantastic solution which saved us a bunch of headaches and money! He's helped us with a bathroom leak situation and spotted a serious duct problem while inspecting the area under my home. He took pictures and explained the problem with improperly installed ducts. He provided a very reasonable bid while communicating solutions that were reasonable and very affordable. My most recent experience, was a flood in my kitchen. Although I received a "cheaper bid" for these repairs, I didn't hesitate to use West Coast. I knew it would be done correctly, on time as scheduled and with proper materials. What a horrible company. They should lose their license for scamming people. They gave me a quote for extending my driveway to cement it over, then completely botched the job and left the bricks up. I cannot park a car on a cemented over planter! They have ruined my driveway and refuse to fix it. DO NOT USE THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY. The HOA gave me written permission to extend the driveway & park. Statements otherwise are just blowing hot air. In fact now that it has been cemented over in such an unusable way the HOA has been contacting me to change is as I did not get the approval for filling in a planter. The term patio was never discussed in the estimate, Robert clearly forgot what was requested when he came out for the quote as it took him 2months to even accept that I wanted them to do the work. They were so poor with communication and scheduling that I was surprised they even followed through to do the job. Clearly the issue here is communication and their inability to do so properly. I had to called multiple times just to speak to management and then was only treated with disgust and anger. They are not willing to accept any responsibility for their mistakes or resolve in a professional manner. I literally have to demo the area to accomplish what needs to be a driveway.w what a total waste of time. Everyone who sees the filled in planter questions why anyone would want such a thing done, the whole concept doesn't make sense and is just a lack of communication - laziness. I wish I had researching the company on here first and seen all the other bad reviews. As far as bashing the company; it is my right to post an honest review. I am merely stating the facts. Enjoyed living at the ocean bluffs. The park is always clean and the maintenance team does an amazing job at keeping it beautiful with their landscaping. We have enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and social events. We appreciate the safety of the park and have been surrounded by friendly, kind neighbors. Lot rent is more than I'd like to pay but not a surprise as we were made aware of increases prior to move in. Figure yourself trying to organize a comprehensive, full on, bare bones renovation from overseas.....without being present? Not a great idea for retaining one's sanity, relationship or trust. But then I found Westcoast and guess what; I am still sane, still happily married and so very, very pleased with the results. We initially started this project by reaching out to 5 local companies via email outlining our idea to bring a 1974 manufactured home into the modern age. Westcoast was very responsive and answered quickly with price quotations and was not put off with our constant adjustments and attempts to save a dollar here and there during the quotation process. A new wall here, an old wall removed, fixtures and cabinets we wanted to provide ourselves....it didn't phase them. With the final decision made to go with Westcoast we decided a quick trip was needed to confirm that the visions we had on paper and via email were realistic and as we had thought. I'm glad we did because more ideas and further changes were made once we arrived, but this time face to face with the crew that would be handling the project and doing the work. We organized a meeting at the property together with Jared, the estimator, Flor, the Project Manager and Issac, the Lead Contractor and spent 4 hours going through all aspects of the project in detail. Flooring, wall placement, paint colours, trim details, door designs, electric fixtures, plumbing...... everything! We agreed on the scope and handed over the keys to Flor and returned to Europe. Flor took it from there coordinating the tradespeople for each phase along with constant video conferences and progress updates throughout the process. Renovating an old house comes with surprises but Flor kept us abreast of all issues during the process enabling us to make decisions along the way supported with live visuals via WhatsApp with Issac and other tradespeople when needed. And as icing on the cake (I expected nothing less) the quality of work was top notch. This company and their crew are the real deal and as long as you take the time to ask questions and explore ideas, and agree on the scope and details of work to be performed they can be trusted to deliver. Even the incremental payments were an easy task using their digital pay method which was only a click away; something we highly appreciated, not being present, instead of dealing with checks. Marcel showed up on time and he and his crew did a wonderful job on repairing and painting my porch. {They matched the paint exactly} and were patient with me as I kept adding things.I had several leaks under the house that he sealed up. He replaced the wood pads under 8 piers with new ABS lifetime poly pads, 2 under each pier. replaced one rusted out safety support system with pads, steel pier,locktop for 3" I-beam. Also did a leveling using the water system. Everyone was professional and friendly and the work was done in a very timely manner. First let me say I was unsure where to go for a quote for work I needed done on my mobile home. Our property manager recommended West Coast so I gave them a call for a quote. They came out right away and took alook at the work I needed done. In our meeting I shared there were a couple of other things I needed but had to wait until my budget could afford it. Putting my trust in someone to take care of the only thing I have left of my parents has been very hard for me. You made my aunt's & my decision the easiest. From first meet you were a gem. You pride yourself in your work..... that doesn't happen often anymore. You were straightforward, X marks the spot, a thorough listener to my concerns/needs, and so damn kind. You took the time & went the extra mile to explain every little detail, draw a diagram of necessary work and came back to address my concerns/ and have the issues fixed. Accepting responsibility for shortcomings as a company isn't easy and I cannot tell you how refreshing that was. Taking on a original 1959 double wide is no easy task especially with the state it is in. I expect hang ups and road blocks but I cannot thank you enough. To whomever answers the phones: Right there says it all! You answer the phones! I had called many companies and not a single one actually answered the phone but you did. You were kind, provided top notch customer service, and the follow through has been phenomenal! Thank you for all you do! Flor, our project coordinator, was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had and responded in a timely manner. The quality of the work done in our bath to shower conversion was excellent. The only reason we felt 4 stars was appropriate instead of 5 was due to the amount of time it took to complete the job (2 months - and the size of the job was small). This could be due to our location in San Diego vs. West Coast/contractors all coming from the Murrieta area and not starting daily until 930am or later. After receiving our quotes/estimates, we decided to go ahead with our floor repair first as we had an actual hole in it and needed to have that taken care of as soon as possible. Unbeknownst to us, there was a family emergency that then occurred, so we didn't hear back right away and reached out to them after a week had gone by. When we decided to do a partial remodel of our guest bathroom we decide to bring in West Coast MHI, partly because they had an A+ rating with the BBB, and partly because they had done a small project for us before. We were a little nervous because all of the personnel seemed so young, but we are absolutely thrilled with the final result. Austin did a fantastic job with the lengthy estimate process, and we appreciated him making an extra trip when we had to revise our plan because some of the desired materials had limited availability. And we can't say enough about Martin, who did the lion's share of the actual work. From demolition to wrapping up the last few details, he was the epitome of professionalism: polite and very considerate of our home space and schedules. Well, we should have done our homework. The rain gutters were not seamless and the area where we are encountering leaks comes from the seams of the rain gutters and our window still leaks. It hasn't rained in a bit and I hesitated about posting, but it is difficult to see later that the work you paid for does not hold up. I called a few times over the last two years, but no follow up from them. So much for any kind of warranty. read more

We recently hired this company to bring water and electric service to an old manufactured home we gutted and are remodeling. It had been abandoned for 15 years and was a hideous mess with rodents etc. my husband joked (?) that at $1, we paid too much. We gutted it and researched companies that could do the work we could not do. It was difficult given the remote location. Then we found West Coast Home Improvement company. It was easy to get an estimate and schedule crews. In addition to putting in the new water and electric service, they stripped the forced air heating ductwork that had been occupied by rats, insulated and installed a new moisture barrier. They also offered expert advice along the way. We had a few bumps along the way and I feared being ignored. But I had been needlessly anxious. Each time, the customer service person scheduled a service call with the appropriate crew and resolved the issue. We have been most impressed and would not hesitate to recommend this comprehensive service company to anyone needing help with a home improvement project. read more

I would give them a ZERO if it would register that way. They quoted on a job for me and we had a signed contract in place listing everything that would be done with an agreed upon total price. Then when i called days before they were to begin the work to confirm everything, I was told they were not going to do the work because it was quoted too low and they would not be making any money on it. They just simply failed to follow the agreed upon contract. This is a very crooked business practice and you should NOT support a business that chooses to operate under these conditions. read more

Had to call them for more workers. Workers were doing work whilst smoking weed. Blasted heavy metal music all day while doing the job. Left a huge mess. Didn't finish the job. Left stains on street in front of my property that won't come out. Owners won't call me back and fix or finish the job. BAD OWNERS!!! Latest News: They had their lawyer contact me via letter, to inform me that if I didn't remove my reviews, they were going to sue me. Based on the condition that the "street" isn't my own personal property so therefore have no right to request they clean up their mess on the street in front of my house. Terrible service and bad quality work. Beware they are extremely pricey. They tried to charge me 350.00 for replacing my Thermostat and when I refused to pay it they came down on the price 150.00 and said they lost money in the transaction. I'm the one who lost money because the thermostat wasn't the problem and the heater still does not work. We're in the cold so who lost out? They wanted to open my bathroom wall to repair my shower faucet saying that the part they needed to get to was extremely posterior and opening up the wall was the only way they could repair it. I called another company out and the guy laugh and pulled the Pin out that was securing the broken part in and replaced it in 10 minutes. Mad Props to G&G. So if you use this company be prepared to get ripped off. read more

Warning to all! By CA state law you are required to purchase a permit to Install/Modify - Drain, Waste and Vent (DWV) or Water System. So when I mentioned this to the company the appraiser said "You really don't want to get the state involved" Are you kidding me, I'm the one that can be fined. I called the company and told them I verified with the state I need a permit he was very angry and yelled "Why would you do that?" and we had a verbal altercation. I was informed from this company it would cost me an additional $600 to get the permit because they have to draw up blue prints. NOT TRUE. Per the state the permit is $196 and blue prints are not required, only a grid drawing which can be done by pencil at the desk. So when I called to cancel the work which had been less than 48 hours of when I signed the company said they would have to charge me a day's pay for all the laborers who would come out although no one showed up and no work was done. Per their written agreement I have the right to cancel this transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day and there is no mention of a charge to cancel. Sad but this place will not be getting my business now or in the future read more

All is well that ends well. Bottom line, after we had some issues with leveling. It's turns out it was more of an issue of age than anything. The old gal is over 50 now, and sittin' on soft soil. (If zero star was an option, that is what I would give them) When it rained water cascaded over the side of my rain gutter right beside my newly built shed and almost none came out the downspout. I didn't want my shed to be damaged by so much water splashing below it, so I contacted West Coast to give me a quote. In February 2015 Phillip from West Coast gave me an acceptable quote to replace a sagging rain gutter. When it came time to write up the contract, suddenly an additional $94 was "necessarily" included for some vague tax reason. When the workmen came to start the work, apparently no one told them they would have to re-place some of the supports and make sure the gutter slanted and drained to the downspout. They just took down the old gutter and started putting up the new one on the same supports. When I saw what they were doing, I told them they needed to raise that area up so the gutter would drain correctly. Sorry, no speak English! They continued to work and I had to shout at them to stop and call the office. The office spoke with the workers and they replaced some supports and said it was slanted correctly now. Now that we have had some substantial rain showers it is apparent that gutter still sags (just in a different area), almost no water comes out the spout, and water cascades again over the side just as before. I called the office and Howard came out in early October to look at it and said someone would come out soon to correct it. After about three weeks nobody called or came so I have left three messages now for Howard to let me know when someone would be coming, no one returns my call. I paid $1,594 for a new rain gutter that is absolutely no improvement over what I had. I am a senior lady with a tight budget, really can't afford to throw that much away. read more
