Stay away from this company!!! It totally messed up my construction schedule. I called Greg first and he came gave me a reasonable estimate right away. I decided to use them but he kept on pushing out the starting date many many times. I finally set a firm date with him. I tried to confirm it several days ahead of the scheduled starting g date, but received no response. I tried again and again and he called me back on the day he was supposed to start and said he couldn't finish other jobs etc etc. When I tried to talk about his commitment for my project, he just hang up on me! Very very unprofessional. My inspection was delayed by his being a flake. So I suggest everyone stay away from this company. I recommend Aquatech instead. read more

Gutters look nice but not without damage to my stucco, significant damage in one particular spot. They made 3 failed attempts to drive a nail through the stucco to secure the spout retaining strap and each time left a significant sized hole in the stucco. I asked them to come over and repair, they agreed to but never showed up. I will fix it myself. read more

Just had my gutters installed today by West Coast Rain gutters. Greg, the owner is very nice and professional. I felt safe and comfortable asking all the questions and recommendations. His estimate included two different installing and pricing options. Based on his professionalism, I took his recommendations to add gutters to another side of the house. Which I am glad I did, because that side of the house was getting more water stains on the stucco. Installation was done by Greg's son and another co worker. It only took 1-2 hours. West Coast Rain Gutters was the second company to quote me a price. Both companies were close in price; however, Greg, the owner is a stand up guy with a great personality and no bull. He's been in the business for over 35 years and takes enormous pride in his company. Both companies selected the same color for the downspouts; however, Greg suggested a different color for the gutters; one that was almost an exact match to my trim. The first company never even went there. Greg was able to schedule the job for today ( he was out to house just yesterday) as another job wasn't quite ready for its gutters. As the others mentioned all gutter companies are overloaded right now, having said that Greg the owner quoted a month to get out to place a bid and he was spot on. The prices were the best I came across and he is very knowledgable with great recommendations. Although the install date slipped a few times it was following the mega storm that hit San Diego in early January 2016. Today his son installed our gutters with their crew and not only were they super fast they did an awesome job. These guys are really professionals and really seem to like that they are doing. My only minor complaint is that I wish they were a little better at communicating to their customers when schedules are changing, I was in the dark for a short while. In the end I am VERY happy with the gutters and they look great, I'd have no problem recommending them to my friends and family. read more

This is my first time writing a review on Yelp. I felt compelled to write a review because I have never received the kind of excellent service from a contractor as I did from Greg at West Coast Raingutters. After calling and emailing several raingutter companies, Greg was the quickest and one of the only companies to respond. I get it, El Nino is supposedly coming and you're all busy but if you're a service provider you should call or at least email back your customers. Greg showed up on time for the estimate appointment which shocked me. How many times have you sat around waiting for the cable guy or some other contractor to show up or not at all? The estimate he provided was honest and a very good price. I don't know anything about raingutters so he could have charged me 5x the estimate and I would have been ok with it. I set the date and time for the repair work to be performed and again I was pleasantly surprised when Greg showed up on time again. For both appointments he was on time (actually a little early), not 5 or 10 minutes late. That is so important when I have to take time off in the middle of the work day. The work was completed quickly and looks to done well. I guess I will see when/if El Nino arrives. During both appointments Greg was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly which certainly added to the excellent service. read more

He did not try to oversell anything and the estimate was comparable to other companies. We went with Greg because he struck us with his helpfulness, friendliness, and honesty. Greg is a clown! The estimate was provided in a timely manner and the price was competitive so we scheduled the work. He said he was 2 weeks out and would contact us with a date. No call, no follow up, nothing. I had to call to see if he was still coming. He said he'd be there the next day by 8- no call, no show! I called him and he said he had us mixed up with another client and that we were scheduled for the following Monday. Wait, it gets better! The day before he says he has to push us to Saturday due to "being really busy." Thursday he calls and says he will now be there Friday at 2. Finally over an hour later one person shows up (that's right, one person) and says he'll have to return the following day with a helper! WOW! In the end the gutters look good and the crew was super friendly but Greg needs to learn how to run a company. I own a business as well and rescheduling clients over and over is a sure way to piss them off, which Greg has achieved! read more

Greg and West Coast Raingutters initially installed gutters on our post-Cedar Fire rebuild back in 2004. Their installation was perfect and we have enjoyed 12+ years of maintenance free service. We recently sustained moderate leak damage in our garage due to water diversion caused by an accumulation of bird nesting debris. I only considered contacting one company for assistance. I contacted Greg through Yelp! and we fell back into a great rapport. We scheduled an estimate and at the end of our meeting, he recommended a reputable roofer to check for additional damage. We agreed that we would benefit in the future from a run of gutter in a previously non-guttered area. Once our minor roof damage was repaired, we scheduled the gutter install. Got the name of this company from a recommendation list on a NextDoor online group--Greg the owner did come out very quickly in January to give me an estimate on gutter guards for a short section of gutters-- a rather small job-- Greg told me they were rather booked up but would call and let me know when they could fit this small job ($130 approx) into their schedule. Never heard back from him so I called on Feb.6- was told they were still "working on it" but would be in touch. After that: NOTHING--I even waited til the end of Feb. and still heard nothing-- it is apparent to me they do not want to be bothered doing small jobs cause I STILL have not heard from them and we are into April-so I contacted the company that had put gutter guards on my home originally (at a much higher price) but at least they stayed in contact with me and got the job done in early March. Most disappointing trying to use a company recommended by others only to have them not wanting to be bothered with a small job--if they didn't want the small job at least TELL YOUR CUSTOMER at the onset and don't string them along--in the future. I will do more checking out on my own before believing a recommendation from others. read more

I am NOT associated with this company! I thought that they were an up and up company until they added gutters to my home. They installed them quickly enough. However when they put up the gutters they pulled up my flat roof and broke the seam on 40% of my roof where they installed the gutters. The owner came out to the house and admitted to my face that they are responsible and he recommended a friend ( GULA ROOFING) to come out and give me an estimate to repair. The roofer did come out and gave me a quote to repair of $3000. He said to me that the rain gutter people were 40% at fault. He found a couple of other areas that were not West Coasts responsibility. SO, I called Greg and he flat out told me he would NOT PAY for anything!!! I am sending a copy of this review to the State Contractors Board and the BBB for review. read more

I Have a 30 foot section of rain gutter which West Coast looked at in AUGUST. They told me they would repair it but they were 6 weeks out. I said no problem, see you in six weeks. Sure enough, they came in six weeks to tell me that they cannot fix my gutter, they have to replace it. I said ok, replace it. They told me it would be another six weeks, I said no problem, see you in six weeks. Today is six weeks and they told me that they cannot fix my rain gutter until March of next year... F West Coast Rain Gutters, they are liars and have waisted 3 months of repair time for me and, as they made clear to me on the phone, they could care less. We originally had West Coast install a full raingutter system on our 2-story Alpine home last year. And, recently when our rental in San Diego needed gutters we once again called upon West Coast as we were so pleased with the work they did on our home. Our home is situated on a high mountain top and we periodically sustain high winds. After installation, we had occasion to call West Coast and advise them of the wind noise with the new piping.
