Had Greg out to give an estimate to do some work. After a phone quote and hiring him, he just never returned phone calls and when he did he led me on to believe that he was going to get to me, he kept using excuses such as it has been busy, there has been a lot of rain, etc. He couldn't just tell me he wasn't interested in taking the job. Meanwhile I waited for 2 weeks until finally he just quit even returning calls. Very unprofessional and frustrating. I don't know if the work that actually gets done is any good, but the business is run like a very low-quality establishment. If Yelp would not have asked me to do a review, I was just going to drop the whole thing, but I'm glad now to have been able to give my opinion and share. What a great experience we had with this company!! Two other gutter companies came out to look at our project and said they would be in touch with a quote and they disappeared!! Then Fabian called after I wrote to this company through yelp and he came out quickly, wrote a quote up while he was at my house and actually came back when he said and installed the gutters! I had no idea it was such a tough thing to get gutters. I only wish I had called this company first! The two other companies also told me copper gutters would not work. They showed up when they said they would, they offered me fair pricing compared to the other 4 bids i received they were the second lowest (by a few dollars from the lowest) . They were also able to get me on schedule sooner and came out when they said they would ON TIME. Greg's crew just left after installing rain gutters on our house. Greg came out a few months ago to provide the quote, and after me dealing with my HOA for permission, and rain delays, we were able to get it done today. They actually ended up having to add an extra downspout because of the way they needed to affix the gutters to our roof. We have weird foam blocks that look like wood, but the install crew did not feel good about affixing the gutters to those, and did a great workaround, adding the downspout to ensure no pooling. The two guys that came were great, explained things to us, and checked to make sure we were good with the needed changes to downspouts. They left the yard clean, and even wiped the gutters down to remove fingerprints! They ended up throwing in that extra downspout for free, so much appreciated! Greg is super busy, so don't always expect immediate responses. Trust that his company is doing great work for many others, and if you have patience, your home will get your gutters. read more

Back dated to December 2019 and January / February 2020. Will no longer use and cannot recommend. Find someone else to do work for you. PROBLEMS -- Poor communications with Greg (owner), overpriced estimate, and final result discovered the initial install by this company was not correctly done, resulting in eventual roof leak and stucco damage. Several roofers and our final roofer (who also fixed the gutter problems), clearly confirmed how the initial install by Greg partially caused the roof leak problem, and also caused separate stucco damage problem in another area, due to poor rain gutter drainage. Roofer fixed both issues and now no more gutter problems that were caused by West Coast Raingutters. DETAILS Part 1 - (December 2019) - water leak in large garage ceiling - plumber thinks it is roof or rain gutter issue, so called Greg since he did some gutter work previously. Greg called back quickly, was initially defensive about being a rain gutter problem since he did the initial install on the house when house was built, and bulked at doing gutter cleanings any more. He finally agreed to send out two guys several days later when it was pouring rain, and they checked the leak, added extension to front roof downspout, cleaned out front gutter, and adjusted gutter above front door to prevent overflow and damage on stucco. $50. Great job, especially working in pouring rain. I thanked them profusely. They said leak in garage is probably a roof problem, with a gap in flashing noted on the roof - and I needed to call a roofer. They said Greg would provide a gutter cleaning estimate. Part 2 - (January / February 2020) - Work estimate for gutter cleaning and "tune up" was about three times as much as last time, and included tasks not needed, including cleaning out two gutters that were not dirty and had no issues. Called Greg to ask for explanation of all listed tasks, and then I proposed an estimate adjustment for doing only work needed. The result is Greg again got very defensive (a pattern apparently), and defended the quote, even though no one had gone up on the roof to see if all the work he included was really needed, and I knew 2 of the gutters were clean since I can see them from inside the house. Communication ended when Greg did not respond to my last 2 emails, so we moved on. Very disappointing. END RESULT -- we are glad we did not use West Coast Rain Gutters, and had a great roofer who fixed the gutter problems! See my other reviews for a great roofer who is great for gutters also. WHY? -- As a business owner myself, I do these reviews to hold businesses accountable for poor business practices and to help them and the public raise the bar for quality service. This is one of those choices I regret. I had multiple bids and chose this company because they had installed the original gutters. The owner who came out to give the estimate was great at first. The morning of the scheduled install, I called to confirm since I didn't get a confirmation. He said they were backed up and will not be be able to show up. I asked when they can come to install with a guaranteed date. He gave me a maybe date. I told him it needed to be a promised date since I needed to arrange my schedule around it. His team showed up but didn't have the right skill set to do the job. They sent a different team the day after that was more competent but they had another job to get to and didn't properly install and took shortcuts. I had to have them come back to properly finish the work but they didn't. In hindsight, I should have gone with another company. Greg was friendly and fast. He gave us an estimate on 12/31/21 and was able to install on 1/15/22. The colors choosen blend beautifully with the home and it the location of the gutters are perfect! It has helped a great deal with areas that were prone to some flooding in our yard. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 was only because the driprail was cut on one side on the garage when it didn't need to be (the other side did need it) and our shingles were folded when they were adjusting the gutter. Since it is a two story, fixing the shingles afterwards was a bit of a nuisance. Considering it was raining when they were installing, everything was done quite well. These guys killed it they came out within 2 days of my initial call and not only didn't try to upsell me on any unneeded products they even helped me know where I needed gutters and where it wasn't necessary. The sales rep was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to he even made sure to inform me about an issue I didn't realize I had with my AC. Let's just say that after over a month of dealing with West Coast rain gutters and Greg the owner I would give zero stars if I could. The initial response and bid were great and very reasonable. After that everything fell apart. I could never get a date to start the work. There was no communication until I did a Yelp review. He responded and I withdrew the review. Then there were promises, there were no-shows and ultimately after being strung along for over a month no work was completed with excuse after excuse. Solid Company and Solid Work Greg and his son did an awesome job on our house. The house is 41 years old and never had gutters installed. We opted for black on white trim gutters for the entire house and also added gutters for the backyard pavilion I built earlier this year. It was a total of around 200 liner ft of gutters.
