The owner, Shawn, is a very friendly guy. He came out as scheduled to look at the yard and I expressed to him that I needed it done right away. He said he would have the bid to me that night but it took over a week of constant reminders. That was fine and I approved the bid. They broke a sprinkler when they were doing the work, added a camellia instead of a hemlock without running it by me, and showed up with 4 foot arborvitae instead of 6 and started to put them in without talking to me. He fixed the sprinkler eventually and it took him several months to get the trees in. The trees died within a few months and I have been trying to contact him ever since. He finally answered his phone a few months ago and said he would be by within the week. This was after ignoring many texts, emails and voice mails from me. He never showed. My husband finally got ahold of him this morning and he said it was out of the warranty period! He is a flake and I just want to save you all from the aggravation.

Marco was quick to respond to our request for a quote to remove a dying 50-foot tall conifer. His…read moreestimate was far below the other bids we got. We asked if he could also haul away some old branches from trees we had cut down and he agreed without even raising the bid amount. He also checked to make sure we didn't need a permit in our county. He was a little late but promptly sent a message saying when he would arrive. He and his team did a great job - pretty much working nonstop until the job was finished. They hauled away all the branches and cut the trunk in to rounds so we could chop it for firewood. If I had one critique it is that the rounds were very uneven sizes and angles which made them hard to stack, but they were cutting them to size while they were still attached to the tree so I have to give them some grace. We had also requested stump grinding, but the ground between their truck and the tree was very soft and Marco was concerned about the heavy stump grinder tearing up the grass. He was able to grind the stump down to several inches below the surface using a chainsaw. I appreciate how he considered the damage his equipment might do and was able to find a solution. 100% will use Premier if we need trees removed in the future.
