My stars are mostly for the white glove delivery. So easy and lux. Expensive! But considering the alternatives fir getting your stuff home, worth it. Scheduling is drama free. The delivery team pulls up in their truck and assesses the path into your crib. They put on gloves and little booties over their shoes. They carry your items to wherever you want them placed, and then they set it all up and take the trash away. The team works super quickly, too. In and out 20 minutes, max? I love the rug I bought. It's beautiful. West Elm is not the end all be all for me - ok furniture, high prices, but the natural fiber rugs are surprisingly nice. Good prices in comparison to other outlets. They don't have a full display in the store, but you can check out a 12"×12" swatch for $10. Return it to get your money back. Staff in the store at Summerlin: helpful and nice. read more

Dunno if this store has a policy to never approach customers if they need help, but that seems to be the culture. If you wanna browse and want to be left alone, or when you ask for help, to be met with a nonchalant vibe, this is your spot. I like that their prices are quite reasonable compared to their competitor across the street, but in exchange, there is less of a cash back reward. Additionally, they charge shipping based on price of the product rather than a flat rate. In general, there is no customer service. Selection is limited as well. Sale or clearance items can be a decent find if you are there on the right day and time. Would I give them my business all things considering? Perhaps not. The customer service is part of purchasing a furniture for many folks who are trying to furnish their home and already stressed out with trying to figure everything out. read more

So here we are. My wife and I have been West Elm customers for over 2 decades now. Started with catalog ordering and now both in store and online spending thousand of dollars over the years. We went to the store today and liked a lamp that had a tag on it saying "take me home today". When asked if there was a box that the lamp came in, the salesperson said no and we couldn't purchase the display models. My wife stated, " you have 3 lamps of the same type and we can buy one"? Salesperson said no sorry. We can order you one and it would take 2 weeks. It literally has a tag on it saying take me home today. All 3 lamps had the same tag on it. It wasn't a cheep lamp either. It was over 200 dollars for a table lamp. It's amazing when a salesperson can't explain why that tag was on there and then saying to us that we would have to wait 2 weeks. The salesperson wasn't rude, but wasn't nice either. It really felt as if she didn't want to sell us the lamp. It felt really uncomfortable and then we left the store shaking our heads wondering why there was a "take me home today" tag on the lamp and we couldn't take it home today. Weird. We love West Elm, William Sonoma and Pottery Barn knowing they are part of the same company, but now we may look other places. Hmm? We don't know. read more

I would imagine this is what getting catfished feels like. Everything looks pretty on the surface but when I decided to engage, I was shocked at what I found. I expect this type of service from a hole in the wall store or a used car dealership or being mugged in a dark parking garage. NOT a store in Downtown Summerlin! So we bought a table and bench for a little less than $2k. At the last possible moment during checkout, we were told that there is a mandatory $400 "white glove delivery" charge. It was Black Friday, we were tired of shopping, and their nasty tactic worked. Well as we discussed our decision overnight, we changed our minds. It did not make sense to me that we were paying a quarter of the product in shipping. The table and bench had not shipped yet, they were contacting us to find a good time to ship. We decided to cancel, and when I called the store to ask for a cancellation, I was told that they can refund everything but the $400 delivery fee. Me: "So I'm literally just handing you $400 for nothing?" Assistant Store Manager (I won't name her to save her humiliation): "Yes. We've already moved the items from one warehouse to another." I could tell she either didn't have the intelligence to understand why her response was nonsense, or she didn't have enough business acumen to take care of a customer to save the brand image for a longer term impact, or she just plainly doesn't care for people. I called their corporate number repeatedly until I found someone with common sense and compassion who was able to cancel and give us a full refund. Terrible experience. Learn from the hours I wasted on this place. Don't waste your time. Go chop your own tree down and make your own furniture if you have to, but do not buy from these people! read more

I have purchased sheets at W.E. because I love them! The store experience is always horrible, every employee is just miserable and rude. I went to in today to purchase new bedding and like every other time employees can't be bothered. I was the only person in the store and couldn't get the attention of the three people "working"! I placed an online order with West Elm. I was excited to receive this duvet cover as it was on sale. Upon opening the package, it was obvious that the item had been returned by another customer. I called the customer service number and they said they were unable to accommodate a replacement, as it was on sale and the item wasn't damaged! I asked someone for help and she said she would check to see if they had them in stock. She was pleasant. I located the glasses and she confirmed they had them. So kudos for coming back to me and letting me know they had them in stock. She asked if I wanted to go ahead and purchase them and she brought them up front to ring me up. She also individually wrapped all 8 glasses nicely and thanked me as I completed the transaction. And let me add the shopping bags they provide are so nice! I had a terrible experience with the sales person here yesterday (brunette girl, kinda chunky). I came in with my husband to purchase the oversized Raven wall mirror, but wanted to see it in person first before placing order as I only saw it online. I asked if they have it in stock and she just stated that it's in the back wrapped. I asked her why it's not on display, I thought maybe someone purchased it that's why it's wrapped and she just stated "well that's what management told us" WHHHAAAT???She was so unhelpful and disinterested in assisting us. I have always loved West Elm as a store. I have been shopping there for years. When I moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, I was delighted to find that West Elm was here. Being a former owner of a large store in Northern California where we sold Asian Antiques & Accessories, everything from furniture, sculptures, architectural pieces to beautiful silks, pillows, homeware and paintings that were all made by hand mainly by master craftsmen, I really appreciate good quality pieces. West Elm certainly lives up to that. I have purchased beautiful side tables made from mango wood that look stunning, great linen for both King & Queen size beds, fabulous pillows and throws, bathroom accessories, candles, gold lacquered trays, mercury candle holders and I've found many wonderful items that I have purchased as gifts. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Keep an eye out for when they have sales (which is fairly often) as you can get your favorite things at a fantastic price!!! read more

They are a part of the Crate and barrel company so I figured it would be excellent quality; boy was I wrong. There it was in all its glory and obviously overused as a customer seating area for some time. Tired, worn out even ripped seams so you can see the foam inside. Tried to find help with questions but no one to be found. There were three ladies selling trinkets with their stuff spread out over the displays so it was pointless to pursue it further. I absolutely love that this store finally came to Summerlin! The staff is so friendly and helpful. There's always an amazing sale going on. Their Instagram is updated regularly. You can get a sales associate (I recommend Theresa) to come to your house (for free) to help you style it and find your perfect missing pieces. There is a large range of items from affordable candles, paper weights, table wear, etc. to quality investment furniture pieces that will last for years to come. Sara Alba, the manager of West Elm Downtown Summerlin, made my shopping experience recently extremely enjoyable, and easy! Sara made everything seamless -- she had valuable inputs on design, pieces that complemented my other purchases and was very personable throughout the whole process. I really liked her sincerity in assisting and her staff are very attentive, not hovering -- but were there when I had questions. One of her staff, Jin, though he was not directly helping me -- was a joy to be around. Customer service should always be this -- genuine, connected, and sincere -- and Sara was above and beyond that. It wasn't just a transaction, it was a relationship-building. Obviously, businesses exist to make a profit but business without a heart will never make it and will not be able to establish a loyal following if not for the people making up the business. Sara is a a gem and I definitely will be a loyal customer from here onwards. Apart from the pieces and designs I really love, I think it is how I was made to feel that stands out. Stores like this particular West Elm are part of the reason that more and more people are buying online. My husband and I went in a few weeks ago. There were a few people working-- none of them offered to answer any questions. We ended up buying a floor model item, but since the house we are building isn't complete-- we were told they would package up the bed and store it for us until we could pick it up. We stopped back into the store more than a week later to find the bed still on display .. and now with my husband's full name, phone number and other information on a tag hanging on the bed. We asked why the bed was still being used as a store display after we had paid for it and were told it would be stored. The store manager said they had some problem with another display so "needed" to keep using the bed we purchased and owned. They never asked us or notified us. They didn't apologize.. and in fact, didn't even take our bed off the floor that day. I'll be ordering more from West Elm as we get closer to finishing our new home-- all of my purchasing from here on out will be online. read more

I love home decor stores and I am a West Elm virgin! I had heard of these stores but never actually took the time to check them out! I had some extra time on my hands Saturday afternoon so I dropped in. I was greeted warmly by one of the salesgirls. She let me know about the sale going on along with a cool pop up shop being featured. I ventured over to the pop up shop and chatted up the Etsy shop owner. Turned out I knew her family from way back. That is what happens when you live in Las Vegas as long as I have, still a small town. I then began to check out the rest of the store. It is laid out comfortably by room. Lots of uniquely designed chairs and tables. Lots of vibrant colored pillows and decorative knock knacks. These types of stores are usually priced on the high end but if you catch the right sale, you can score. I did happen to find a fun and whimsy butter dish which I had to have. They also feature a succulent garden which I plan to return to and purchase some succulents for my window sills. Every sales person I encountered was nice and helpful too. Overall, this is beautiful store so if in the area, check it out. read more

Anna took down my information and said she would hit up some sources to try and find one for me. About 20 minutes after I left I received a phone call that Joey, another associate, had found one available in the store and gave it to me free of charge. I thought it was amazing that store associates would go out of their way just to find this piece I need instead of telling me I would have to purchase a whole new chandelier.
