Wow. I was expecting the run of the mill furniture buying experience but I got much much more. I worked with Charity and the manager, Nathan, I think his name was (he looked like Jimmy Fallon). They were fantastic. Super attentive and asked me and my wife some questions that we hadn't thought of. We ended up ordering one of the new sofas they had and we are super happy with it. Delivery was quick and painless and we are loving our new purchase. Can't wait to go back. A really great experience! read more

West Elm's delivery service is awful. I am here to warn everyone that they will never deliver on time and make you wait around all day. We have company coming for Christmas and they promised a bed to be delivered yesterday 12/23. It was not delivered and the customer service representatives were very rude and unprofessional. Oh my god! This store has only been open for a week and the customer service is that good! Both Jenna P. and Nathan, the manager, went way above the standard service for us. We were in the new store on Tuesday, saw a chandelier, got the sales pitch, but I didn't have my West Elm card or merch card with me, so we said we'd be back to make the purchase. Days later we were back, but no chandelier:(. Jenna searched everywhere...other stores, online, no luck. Nathan worked his computer magic and voila! We had our light! We bought the bulbs instore and we were on our way! As a side note, we chatted with Jenna for a long time before, during, and after the transaction. We will be back...you can count on it! read more

We ordered patio furniture In May. West elm scheduled delivery for 3 weeks later. It's now 2 months, still no furniture, we now understand some items are discontinued an wont arrive at all. I've called 7 times to customer service, and now our entire order is canceled. Buyer beware horrible company. read more

Just called to see if the store had a certain item in stock. I was put on hold by an associate... after 15 minutes I decided to hang up and call back. When I called back a different associate answered the phone and I told him that I was on hold waiting to see if the store had an item in stock and that I think I was forgotten about because it had been 15 minutes. I was told to hold one minute so that he can find out who was helping me -- I then gave the name of the associate who originally was looking for my item. He then asks the first associate while I am on the phone if she was helping me find the item and I could hear her in the background say.. "Oh yeah.. we don't have that". Was she even going to let me know? Or would I have sat on hold for another 15 minutes? Very rude customer service, will definitely be going to the West Elm at the District, they are much nicer there. read more

I've used West Elm's design services and purchased in-store. I've had good experiences. The employees always check in with me and offer to help me with products. They've been very generous with my purchases, staying true to their word (e.g. receiving design services for a couch, arranging to go in a few days later only to find it wasn't on sale anymore, but they still honored the discount). While I think the overall knowledge of employees and designers will increase with time and company training (it's a typical growing pain of new stores), I'm impressed with their ability to help me out with small things: I once asked where their display fig tree was from and they gave a glowing recommendation to Plant World. read more

The store has a mediocre amount of items in stock, compared to the Henderson location. Layout and overall orientation of the store is middling at best, however I feel that this store's service is consistently below - par compared to other West Elm locations. I have been to this store at least 3 times in the last year and have consistently experienced a paucity of service at each visit. At every visit the waitstaff neglected to even acknowledge my presence, feigning some sort of fascination with either the state of their sneakers or the backs of their hands. Despite being literally eager to hand them money, any questions were met only with the tired disdain of Soviet proletariat sentenced to work in a fashionable gulag. I have met catatonic patients in the hospital who were more interesting to converse with. While I don't particularly care for sloth or disdain, I cannot condone incompetence. On my last, particularly memorable visit, I was inquiring to purchasing a coffee table which according to an SA there, was not in stock 'anywhere in Nevada.' After leaving, I called the Henderson location who apparently knew otherwise. Thank you Summerlin West Elm for enlightening me as to why West Elm's parent company is hemorrhaging money, when instead it ought to fire and replace the entirety of the overfed and underworked workers at this location. 0/5 would prefer to stay home and shop online at CB2z read more

I purchased furniture for my living and dining room. Really like their furniture designs. Everything looks great in our place and came in in a timely manner except for one chair which took longer than expected. Wendy handled it very well, got us the chair the same day and made sure we were 100% satisfied. Excellent service! We'll be back. read more

I bought dining room chairs at this location. All of the people in the store were extremely nice and helpful. The chairs came to my house with no problem. I tried to put them to gather but I really wasn't able to. I contacted the store and talked with the manager named Niri and he was great. I brought them the chairs and they put them together for me. A disappointment. I love the product and their stores. Walked in several times, the staff seems a unknowledgeable, very green, no sense of urgency and unprofessional. First purchase, I bought 2 chairs and a floor lamp, pointed at the lamp and shade. They sold me the lamp but forgot to sell me the shade. I had to go back and purchase the shade. I guess the sales associate didn't know they had to sell me both lamp and shade. Second time, walked in, pointed at what I wanted. Sales associate took the time to locate the item, told me it was on back order but didn't give a date. I asked if they can help me find one before the time frame, she said she would ask, waited 30 minutes. She never came back. After waiting, another associate asked if we were ok. Told him we were waiting for the associate to give us an answer on the item we wanted to purchase. Found out the associate moved on to another customer. The associate that asked us if we were ok, had to start all over and check on the item. I had a handful of items that I was going to buy. The associate told me the item was on back order until February and said they couldn't find the item in another store, only waited 5 min for that answer. I was so upset by that time, I told them I didn't want anything. Walked out. Went to pottery barn (which is a sister store) and bought $4k of stuff. The associates around were just talking to each other about what they did last night and their little drama that was happening around them. The store was slow. Seemed like there was no manager on duty around to control what was happening on the selling floor. read more
