Ok so over the Christmas holiday I broke my front tooth and immediately knew I was in trouble. Having already seen the great things Dr. Torabi did for my parents of course I called his office. I had my tooth extracted, got an implant, bone transplant and a fixed temporary tooth all within literally 1.5 hours. I walked out looking as if nothing happened. Amazing!!! I started out with Dr Torabi several years ago and stayed on when Dr Barriere took over the practice. I am pleased I decided to stay. I have had several types of things done including implants, crowns, veneers and cleanings of course. My husband has had dentures replaced. What a great office - I needed to take care of a cavity via simple filling at a last minute. The front desk made sure they could squeeze me in on the same day, within just one hour of my call! They also were able to have me for cleaning before the procedure. From coming in and having assistance with filling out paperwork (they have a wonderful receptionist/front office assistant, she was so helpful!), being treated by a very nice and friendly hygienist, to having Dr. Tony Barriere treat my tooth and have this filling done fast and with quality (plus the anesthetic was done well, I wasn't numb for too long after the procedure, but did not feel anything during the procedure). They even gave me some time in between the hygienist and my tooth treatment when I needed to take a work call! I will definitely return and have this dentist as my new regular dentist on the westside! (and their hygienist too!) . It is so rare to see such great customer care these days and I value this a lot. read more

Beware!! Technically inadequate and does not stand up his mistakes and doesn't make any effort to fix his mess ups. I went in for an implant and I was told that the adjacent tooth should be shaved slightly to open up room for the implant. Dr. Torabi ended up shaving too much off of the other tooth so i ended up requiring a root canal in order to deal with the unbearable pain caused by this messed up procedure. He ended up putting a crown for the shaved tooth and charged me $ 1900 (1400$ for the crown and 500$ in advance for the implant). I continue to have unbearable pain daily and have attempted to contact him over 100 times in the last two weeks. He refuses to fix the tooth that he messed up without me paying him an EXTRA 1500$ for the root canal. Him and his office are basically giving me a run around and finally after pre-charging me for the implant his office called me and said that he is referring me to another dentist!!!! If that is not theft in daylight, i don't know what is! I will be taking this to the California board of dentistry!! Please STAY AWAY!!! read more

Dentistry West LA Implants is a full service office. They do do implants, but they do everything. The office staff is efficient and helpful. I always feel that I am important. I searched around. It is not owned by some massive corporation that is always trying to upsell on procedures. Dr. Barriere(spelling??) is very approachable and concerned about you personally and what your thoughts are concerning your oral hygiene and what he feels is the best approach. I sought treatment from Dr. Barriere a couple years ago. After being quoted and charged three differing amounts by his office, I sought a second opinion. I discovered that the analysis, equipment used for the analysis and proposed treatment plan by this doctor were not industry standard and I chose a different office I could trust for the work needed. It resulted in three times the cost. Dr. Barriere retaliated by threatening a reporting against my professional license and placing a negative review on my law office despite never having any attorney/client relationship with him or his company. The first time I came here Dr Torabi was my dentist. Whom I also raved about in a previous yelp review . I was nervous to come back bc he is no longer there and is now taken over by Dr Barrier. Dr Torabi is his mentor. It seems he did a good job mentoring him bc I am so satisfied with his professionalism and utmost care. The same care and service I received under Dr Torabi. The front desk crew are also very pleasant and friendly. They also have a discount program for those who don't have insurance, like me. You pay a certain amount and you get cleaning services, percent discounts on your treatment and other things. Worth it if you have expensive treatments and no insurance. My concern and hesitation with Dr. Torabi is the fact that he didn't meet me or look at my teeth initially in my consultation visit. Instead, right off the bat, after being seated in a consultation room, an assistant took an x-ray of the the area where a front tooth was missing, where I need an implant. Then a secretary came into the room to confirm that I was prepared to pay for a CT scan, took my payment and obtained my signatures on more paperwork. The assistant returned to do the CT scan. Not until after that did I meet Torabi, when he entered the room and asked me to smile. Whereupon the first brief glance at my smile, he exclaimed that he could not make me an implant before orthodontics, which would take at least 6 months for correction. And then I would need another CT scan after that. It seemed obvious to him at first glance that the tooth below the empty space was in the way. In my opinion, I didn't need to pay $195 for the CT scan since he said there was no way to get an implant. Now if he met me FIRST and observed my smile and front teeth, he would have told me to go to an orthodontist and then come back to start the implant process. A CT scan, he said, is only good for 6 months and must be done again after the orthodontia. Gee, thanks Dr. for padding your pocket book with my money unnecessarily!! Very slick practice, big WHOOPS on my BS detector. Very INEFFICIENT. I would never go back there... (nice waiting room, coffee, nice ladies and all) ...afraid of what other INEFFECTIVE, ass-backward oversights that I would be subjected to. And now that I've been to a market-priced (midrange) implant specialist, I know that the $195 for the CT scan was outright theft. My bone-density is good from my last CT scan of 6 months ago (Torabi said they only are good for 6 months, then must be re-done. Wrong. I've had the titanium screw installed, and did not need orthodontia. What a rip-off!) What a slick scam -- get 'em on a pretext of cheap pricing, and gouge 'em one at a time for CT scans. read more

went in for an implant and I was charged $1900. He never went over the risks of the procedure before he put a crown on my other tooth to make an space for the implant. I've been in pain since then and he refused to see me after and told me that I need a root canal and referred me to his friend whom wanted to charge me another $1500 for the root canal. I feel that my extensive experience with dentists and dental work qualifies me to write this review. Walking into the office of West LA Implants and being greeted by friendly faces was a good start! The staff, though very professional, was also very friendly and warm. There was no waiting as they took me in on time and had me seated for x-rays followed by a cleaning by the hygienist, Jacob, who was extremely gentle-handed and patient. I got a thorough deep cleaning, without feeling the usual tension in my jaw and neck, as was typical in the past during teeth cleaning procedures. Next came Dr. Tony Barriere, again, with no waiting involved. I observed a level of competency and knowledge in him that truly delighted me. He was professional yet so easy to talk to and had information about everything that I had a question about. He offered solutions and alternatives to the various dental challenges that I face. I won a free Zoom whitening treatment at this office as part of a health fair at work a few months ago. I still get compliments on how nice my teeth look so I can now safely say the treatment was a success. Everyone I encountered at the office was extremely kind and friendly. The office itself is probably the most luxurious dental office I've ever been in with sparkly tile, coffee machine and personal televisions mounted both on the wall and on the ceiling for when you are leaning back in the chair. With only 3(?) patient chairs, it was small office, clearly catering to a more technology and design savvy crowd. Parking was valet and conveniently located behind the building; it is also validated by the office which is a nice luxury because the meters around the building probably won't cover the amount of time you'll need to be there. I enjoyed my experience, not only because it was free, but because they really did do a nice job and appeared to genuinely care about my time there. read more

I had Dr Torabi fix a failed root canal by replacing it with an implant. It took a few visits and a few appointment reschedules, but it got done. Parking is ridiculous 18 bucks if you park in the lot and Dr Torabi won't validate, but if thats an issue you can usually find nearby street parking. The actual experience with working with Dr Torabi is second to none in my opinion. He has a very gentle, wise demeanor and is very skilled and confident in what he does. This put me at ease, I was very comfortable with him and his staff very quickly. He explained my options, costs and gave his recommendations very clearly allowing me to quickly decide what kind of crown I wanted. I did have some complications because my jaw wasn't as flexible as most, but he adapted, rebuilt the crown at no extra cost to me and got it done. The office is very comfortable and has the latest dental tech. its obvious he has a passion for the cutting edge of dental treatments and technology, this tells me he has a very strong drive to be the best he can be. If you have good insurance or have the money on hand to see him, don't think twice. However, the best isn't cheap. if budget is more of a concern then look for other options. In my opinion certain things in life you just don't skimp on. Anything to do with your bed, your feet, or your mouth you should get the best you can afford. It will cost you less in the long run to get the best now. Good people here, don't hesitate, just do it. read more

Recently switched to Dr. Torabi since I wasn't really happy with the my previous provider. First things first, their Brentwood office is unlike any dental offices I have ever seen. Supper nice, tranquil, I thought I was at a spa vs. a medical office. The staff were amazing, they called me in advance to confirm my appointment, emailed me the information they needed so I pretty much did everything on-line and just had to sign couple of forms when I got there. The hygienist did a thorough cleaning and Dr. Torabi gave me a clean bill of health. Overall, I was very pleased with his staff and the quality of care I received at Dr. Torabi's dental office. I had an implant consultation at West LA Implants and I must say it was such a pleasant experience to walk in there. Definitely not something I'm used to saying being that I'm not a huge fan of the dentist. When my boyfriend and I walked in, we were immediately greeted and were offered water or coffee. The staff is delightfully welcoming, which is a breath of fresh air from my previous experiences. Dr. Torabi definitely impressed me with his knowledge and thorough explanation of the treatment I need. Being the sissy that I am, I've opted to have my treatment done while being under IV sedation. Needless to say I am glad I had the Dr. put them on for for me. He took his time and made sure everything was smooth. The office looks amazing and having the luxury of a T.V. on the ceiling made time fly while he put my braces on. It has been a little over a month and I can already see a difference. I've been coming to Brentwood Smile for about 4 years. Dr Torabi takes the time to explain what treatment is required and how he is going to do it. All of the dental assistants and hygienists are professional. I appreciate the calls and text messages reminding me of my upcoming appointments. Dr. Torabi is very expensive. He has an arrogant and insincere manner. When I needed an implant but balked at the $5000 price, he said that if I allowed him to take photos of the procedure for educational purposes, the rate would only be $3000. But after all add-ons and othe nonsense, the total came to at least $5000 anyway. And now my new dentist says that the implant isn't very good - the post isn't deep enough and a ridge around the top of the post could become exposed and collect bacteria. I wish I'd never heard of Dr. Torabi. read more

I can hardly say enough about Dr. Torabi and his entire staff. Everyone in the office is extremely pleasant and professional in every way. I needed complete upper and lower dentures along with extensive bone grafts. Dr. Torabi sat down with us, gave us our options which were exactly what I expected after having done my homework. What I didn't expect was the price which was actually better than the supposed "discount" places. Being a smoker, I did not quit as he recommended (several times), and it certainly complicated my case. When it came time to complete the implants, he recommended another procedure to provide additional strength because my bone structure didn't become as robust as he would have liked. It involved installing 2 titanium "bars" at the gum line to provide additional lateral strength to the 2 sets of implants. What was amazing to me was that this represented thousands of dollars worth of additional customization and lab work, for which he did not charge! Now, I can finally smile again with no more pain, no more embarrassment of having my denture come loose during a meal, and they feel completely natural. SO happy! read more

After interviewing several oral surgeons and dental implant specialists, I heard about Dr. Torabi on KFI. As a former advertiser on KFI, I decided to check him out. He offered me the best and most logical plan for my dental implants, and the most affordable price!!! (The price was one third what others were asking). He is affiliated with the Global Dental Implant Academy, and he is a program instructor there training and mentoring fellow dentists. Apparently, his affiliation with the Global Dental Implant Academy makes his prices so affordable. He is educated in the latest state of the art dental implant technology. Of course, I decided to choose him! My first procedure in Dr.Torabi's treatment plan involved the extraction of three teeth, and the placement of four bone grafts. I am familiar with stem cell technology, and was very pleased that he used it in conjunction with the procedure so that everything would heal better. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Torabi. I didn't have to spend months waiting for the bone grafts to be placed. He was great throughout the surgery. And, of course, his staff went out of their way to be helpful. I have complete confidence in Dr. Torabi, and I am looking forward to the completion of my dental plan for dental implants. I have waited years for this, and I have finally found the right implant specialist at a truly affordable price! If you need dental implants, or know someone who does, I highly recommend Dr. Torabi.
