This is the best place to open in Lodi (that serves food). You have to try it! It's reason enough to drive out to Lodi. Try the deviled eggs and the schnitzel. The fries are insanely good. They don't even make sense...crispy and fluffy. You will not be sorry you visited. The wine list is meh but the beer offerings more than make up for it. The cocktails are super fun too. I like to support local business so I was excited to come here. Hugely disappointing. Food was expensive and didnt taste good. At all. My salad was a pile of greens that had an overwhelming lemon juice poured all over it. The schnitzel was incredibly dry and didnt taste good (although the bun was good). Heard alot about Nosh before visiting and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Their cocktails are carefully made and taste amazing. Nosh is in a league of its own when it comes to great food and amazing beers. They have done a great job of creating a delicious menu that makes it hard to choose between all the foods(Spoiler Alert...its all good so you can't go wrong!) My favorites are the burger which has a pretzel bun, and the schnitzel sandwich which has some sort of dark magic going on because I cannot understand how it can taste that amazing with so few ingredients. Beer selection is on point and the craft cocktails are unmatched. All the servers and bartenders are really nice too. Cool vibe, imaginative menu on par with any of your high end gastropub type places, good beer selection, server seemed new but she was really nice so that made up for it. Where they lose points with me is value to quality ratio on a few things. As a previous reviewer has stated, they at one point were serving what seemed to be run of the mill frozen pretzels and charging a premium for them. Also, I was charged $4 to add a "side salad" that was a handful of romaine mix straight out of a bag tossed in vinaigrette with a tiny bit of shredded cheese on top. If you're going to charge $4 for a salad, it needs to be in a separate bowl with croutons and tomatoes, or some other elevating ingredients. Those salad bags are 2 for $5 at Save Mart. Arrived about 11.30 on a Wednesday and two large groups of six each were already seated. Since I had decided on the Nosh burger (from the Yelp reviews), I was ready to order right away: medium rare, salad w/blue cheese dressing. Took a while as the other orders were already being prepared. Not a problem. First bite of the burger was medium well and dry, as were the second and third. The pretzel roll was a little sweet and cold. I liked the house pickled onions (but not on the burger) and the salad was really tasty, dressing was ranch w/lots of crumbled bleu cheese, spring mix, broccoli and carrot rods and sliced raw brussels sprouts. The (one) waitress offered to get me another burger but I know from experience it would be exactly like first and I didn't want to wait (places to go, things to do, people to meet!). She comped my meal with many apologies; I told her I appreciated her concern and tipped her $5. Still looking for a medium rare, juicy burger other than Monsoon in Fairfield and Lucy's in Rio Vista. So this is a novel review. For MY first time I'm yelping before I go (ill yelp after too) I've been looking for a place like this locally for a long time - relevant, fresh beautiful food, hand crafted cocktails, with a casual vibe that's open late. Tried Nosh for the first time over the weekend and had an excellent time. The owner is very personable and engages his guests. Lodi is starting to get hipster with this place at the top of the list. This new young place is the place to drink with reasonably priced beers and an extensive menu. Super friendly and helpful when picking options. The only thing is if you are looking for a big menu this is not the place to go. This is my third visit to WON and I was glad I came. The menu had some updates. They definitely keep a good rotation of drinks and food offerings.
