Update 6/8/19: We returned today to check out the regular menu. We had the Spaetzle & Cheese, Pork Belly/Quinoa Salad and Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage with Roasted Garlic Aioli. All the food was great! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I hadn't realized before that the inside main dining area has big tables to share with strangers - fun to get to meet new people over great food! We had been looking forward to making it over there since they opened. Today is a Sunday so they have a limited brunch menu until 2pm. The inside is super cute and I love how open it is. Small patio area that I assume is dog friendly as there was a water bowl out. Within 10 minutes of our arrival we ordered, I had the Pork Schnitzel with potato salad and my husband had the Sausage Eggs Benedict with Jalepeño Cheddar sausage. About an hour after our arrival I said to my husband that it seems like it was taking a strangely long time for our food, especially because the restaurant was not terribly busy. Not long after that our server came back and told us he forgot to submit our order and could we please tell him again what it was that we wanted. I was really bummed out, but he comped my husband's beer and cocktail as well as my iced tea to offset our long wait. I was a waitress in a past life so I know accidents happen -- but I have never left my customers for nearly a full hour without checking back on them for drink refills, or to check on their food. It's a long time to be forgotten lol. When the food arrived it looked pretty good! My husband loved his sausage benedict, his poached eggs were PERFECT. My sandwich was good but after reading several reviews I had really high expectations that the final product just didn't live up to. Too much of the chipotle aioli in my opinion. The potato salad is not at all what you'd expect -- it's a hot bacon/onion/potato hash that very closely resembled my husband's breakfast potatoes. Not my style but others may enjoy. We will come back at a later time and try their other menu items, as my husband is big on beer, pretzels and sausage. Hoping we have a better experience next time! read more

I have read the reviews on Yelp and have been wanting to try it. We came up to Lodi for a couple days to celebrate my wife's Birthday. She loves schnitzel so I knew we need to do lunch her one of the days. It was well worth it. The schnitzel Sandwich was off the hook. One of the best that we have had. The place is very casual, has a long selection of bottle beers, some nice beers on tap and a nice simple list of wines. We had great service (Alocia was our server) and as already stated the food was well worth the visit. We will be back soon. read more

Delicious! We ate here for the first time today. We tried the avocado toast, deviled eggs, sausage board, schnitzel and the brisket burger. Everything was amazing and tastesd so good. I lived in Lodi for half a year and this place stood out. The food is great, beer is great, but the experience/atmosphere is what really makes this place what it is. The workers are friendly and everything about the place is comforting/homey. I would recommend here to catch a game and relax with some friends/family. My food recommendations: fries, pretzel, deviled eggs, braut. Ask for the root beer whiskey too if you need a drink. Miss this place a lot and I hope to find my way back there someday. read more

For entree, I had the beet & orange salad (refreshing!) while my companion had the pork schnitzel with warm potato salad. The 2 stars are only because the waitress was nice and attentive. However, the purpose of going was for the beer and food and both were very poor. Here it is October and we were wanting OctoberFest beer and good german food. They did not have Octoberfest beer and the food was dry and hard. We order the sausage board which simply COSTCO languages and the pork schnitzel sandwich that were hard and dry. We poured on the mustard but we should not have had to do that. The saving grace was the pretzel--warm crispy on the outside and buttery tasting. The food was definitely not from a local farm nor fresh. I say they opened a pack of sausages and re-fried frozen pork schnitzel. Could have been a lot better. read more

Stopped in last night around 6pm for dinner. I was nervous that it would be really busy because of farmers market, but was pleasantly surprised. They have community seating in the dining area, which was fine with me, but the girls at our table we're pretty loud and we could barely hear ourselves talking. I ordered the pork schnitzel, my boyfriend ordered the soft pretzel, and my friend had the nosh burger. We got french fries and asked for all of the dipping sauces: Pesto, Chipotle, and Garlic Aioli. My sandwich was AMAZING. The bun is so soft and light, not too heavy with the breaded pork. The pickled onions and cole slaw combo were very tasty together. The fries were cooked to perfection, and each one of the dipping sauces was great. I think the garlic one could use a little more garlic. My favorite was the pesto. My friend loved her burger as well. We were a little disappointed that the pretzel wasn't giant, it was two small ones, but they were still cooked well and the beer cheese was good. Their beer/wine/cocktail/food menu selection was a little light, but they have good options. I only took away one star because our server was hard to track down. It took us a long time to order, and to pay. All in all it was a great experience, I love the atmosphere and decor. It's an excellent addition to downtown Lodi. So this is the second time I have came to eat at West Oak Nosh. The first time around with only being open just a few weeks I didn't judge. Now the second time around I won't be so nice. I feel like this place could have some potential But they need some work. First off with my second experience it started all wrong right off the bat. I had ordered a drink but didn't have an ingredient to make it, fine. Then we went to order our appetizer and meal. Well watching everyone else that came in after us get their appetizers, come to find out our order never got put in. We finally got our main dish and..... yup the order was all wrong. I normally let things go. But it wasn't just one thing it was three different things in one experience. I hope this place figures out things. I won't be recommending people coming here which is a shame. read more

This place is ok. It's not great, it's not bad, just ok. Being "German", I expected more menu choices to reflect that, such as German potato salad, etc. What I did have was ok. Their menu is very limited. It's very loud, also. They could benefit from some acoustic panels to help with that. In one dining area they have an area for kids to play. Unfortunately when I was there, the parents of the children present couldn't be bothered to actually "parent" their kids to use their inside voices, or not to bang on other people's (aka me) tables. This led to much more noise. If I was with other people who wanted to go there, I would, but otherwise, I doubt I'd ever go again. read more
